"The difference between a slave and a free man is the mind, slavery comes in all forms, some obvious- others not so much. I'm not so good with words, but I will say this- you are only free once you know your thoughts are yours and not that of others" - Viper [An OC, will come out later and this line may or may not be used (๑>•̀๑) ]

Ryuta walked through the streets of Orario with a hop in his steps, it wasn't an exaggerated hop but his steps were a lot lighter and the usual playful smirk he had, has now turned into a bright smile.
'An alchemist, a man who can manipulate materials and create various objects, he arrived at Orario a few months ago asking for Hestia familia but at that time, Hestia-sama had not yet descended. He tried to get into a few other familia's but was rejected because-'
His smile turned into a smirk as his eyes sharpened, he looked like a calculating villain but this only lasted for a moment. Unseen by anyone his expression returned to its bright and joyful mood but his thoughts were-
'He claimed to come from Freezona, the words were in English- I thought they were a native term but since Eina claimed it was a foreign term that even she had not encountered-'
At that time, when the pink haired receptionist caused a stir about him. Eina quickly came to them, she passed on the long line of adventurers to the poor pink hair as Ryuta was escorted to a special room where Eina apologized and they had a "pleasant conversation".
Through their conversation, Ryuta had noted a few key things about the mysterious alchemist.
One, the Alchemist had arrived from a mysterious land wearing equally mysterious clothes.
Two, he had used various weird and unknown expressions and words.
Three, although he screamed about wanting to become an adventurer he was a coward, even the "most cowardly" adventurer before had become a "legendary brave" in the face of the man.
Finally, the "mysterious land" where the man came from was called "Freezona", the phonetics of the word was not in the normal speech of this world.
Maybe, if Ryuta had read the words written in runes he would have had a hard time seeing through this but-
Eina spoke the words as the mysterious alchemist said them to her, those words followed and the phonetic sounds were all arranged in the standard "English" language.
As a magus, Ryuta was able to quickly notice this, language and phonetics were, after all, one of the first things one needs to learn in magecraft.
Though he found it was not useful for him later on- It still was a good skill to have.
Especially after traveling worlds, although the language that was imprinted in his mind upon arriving in this world was new to him, there were still a few names and words that were familiar to him.
For example, Greek- the names of Hephaestus and Hestia followed the standard- no the ancient Greek language. There were also Old Norse that was used, he heard those names, Loki and Freya-
Spoken in Old Norse, in the Nasuverse, these names carried a certain weight to them.
Many magi prefer to use modern derivations of the names, far from the ancient phonetics as magi have the inherent ability to tap into mystery.
Modern variations of ancient script lacked mystery and using them allowed magi to study history and speak of names from the past without worry.
Many spells used these ancient names and words for their formulation, some were even used in chants.
To be a competent magus, Ryuta continued to study the esoteric knowledge wrapped in mysteries, despite not having much for them. After all, if he studied it, he could quickly see through his opponents but his opponents? They were in for a treat!
He never really thought that such knowledge, especially the phonetic knowledge of the English language would help him in a world that "should not have english".
How did he know that this world did not have english?
It was simple really, it all boiled down to divination-
Divination did not only help him "predict the future", it also helped him to find the "truth".
Many magi had used divination to try and access the root but failed as such the study had been dropped. But where others saw trash, some took it as treasure.
Divination was turned into a powerful tool, one that forced many families to have anti-divination bounded fields set up just to protect them. That or they would add mystery to their items and beings in order to impede and twist the divination.
But in this world? Ryuta had few advantages in this world- one that relied too much on raw power-
The experience with the minotaur along with the knowledge forced onto him by the Goddesses- mostly Hephaestus had allowed him to sum this world into one sentence-
A numbers game-
This world was a numbers game, one where the value of one's strength is equal to the total evaluation of the God's based on "Falna".
It was difficult to surpass these limitations, there are some methods but few could do so.
Ryuta wished to see just how far his own magecraft could reach in this world but at the same time he also had another wish-
He had thought he lost that wish of his but it turns out- his wish was always there, silently waiting for the moment it could bloom.
It was a wish he had dropped time and time again, the very first wish he had when he was reincarnated into the Nasuverse, a broken wish that turned him into the man he was, the repaired wish that was nearly achieved-
His wish, his dream was broken time and time again yet here he was, unable to contain his joy as the simple wish he had was slowly unfolding-
He wanted to hide this joy of his but-
*BANG*
He pushed open the door, he knocked two times and received and answer. He opened the door and what greeted him was a young man with a head of messy blonde hair and tired green eyes.
Ryuta's eyes shone with a crimson light, the eyes that could see through fate had been used and what he saw made him smile wider-
'As I thought- this man is a reincarnator, and-'
The messy lines were things Ryuta dared not touch or expand on, especially before he knew more about this world but-
The young man before him, the fate he bore has tied to him-
When he appeared, the man's fate changed and through it Ryuta saw the type of bond they had…
His eyes that see fate could see countless types of bonds but this bond formed between him and the young man was special.
It was a bond of those that originated from the same nation-
Even in the Nasuverse, this bond of his was never formed between him and his family or those from his country.
He was born and raised in Japan but he was never treated by fate as a Japanese-
That is because his true nationality, his true identity, was not a young man born in Japan, not Ryuta Takehara but-
"American I presume?"
The man froze, his expression stiff and Ryuta did not need to be a genius psychologist to understand the reaction-
'I see… so even now… after living in two worlds, dying in my first I still bear that history…'
Ryuta knew that he could not escape that life of his, that twisted life that had barely had any light-
Yet, despite this, small sparks would always come to him-
Always guide him, bringing him warmth and peace and yet-
They were nothing but sparks, momentary lights that died as quickly as they came to life.
Now… as his dreams returned so did his memories-
Darkness, madness, blood, torture-
The things he had done, the things that were done to him, the joy he experiences, the pain he had suffered-
For a moment he nearly broke but-
"Wh-who are you?"
The young man before him spoke in a fluster, his expression filled with shock-
Ryuta was familiar with those eyes, they were the eyes of a man who felt fear. A man who felt like his whole world was about to collapse.
He had once been such a man, he had once lived such a life and had experienced the fall…
But now-
'I won't let fate ruin it all'
He had gone through too much, he had experienced the worst hell anyone could live-
Such a man now stood tall, confident and with a hope for life.
For such a man, his dreams were not fantasies, his wishes were not impossible, for he would do everything, even become the devil if he needed to-
'Maybe that's why… [Papiyas]'
He thought, a smile appearing on his face as he replied to the young man-
"Join my familia, I heard from Eina that you once inquired about the Hestia familia, well- you're in luck, the Hestia Familia was officially established yesterday, and I, the first member decided to bring you in~"
With a teasing tone he made the young man freeze, unable to process it all once more.
Seeing the young man frozen, Ryuta didn't bother to ask, the young man was wrapped up in pitch black chains, his body, mind and thoughts sealed as Ryuta picked him up and silently carried him back to the church-
