Chapter 4 - Engagement Nulled ?

"I-I'm sweaty!" Suzine stammered as she tried to free herself.

Oh? She's worried about being sweaty, not that I'm licking her? Dian thought, holding her tighter.

"But you taste sweet… what can I do?" Dian murmured in her ear, his voice soft and teasing, sending a shiver down her spine.

"Y-Young L-Lord, it's not righ—!" Suzine's words caught in her throat as she felt something hard poking her from beneath.

Her face turned completely red, her mind went blank, and she subconsciously adjusted herself on Dian's lap—grinding ever so slightly.

A husky groan escaped Dian's lips. His body tensed as he felt her soft curves pressing against him. Heat began radiating from both their bodies.

Suzine jolted back to her senses upon hearing Dian's groan. She suddenly jumped out of his grasp.

"I-I'm sorry, Young Lord!" she squeaked, shielding her face with both hands, and quickly ran off.

Now, Dian sat there alone. Well, me and my rod, he thought wryly.

"She's shy…" Dian muttered as he watched her leave. "But I like shy ones."

With that, he stood and left the dining hall too. His mind sifted through the memories he had gained, searching for where he wanted to go next.

...

Skyster Family Castle, Silia Town

Two figures sat in a quiet room. Complete silence. Neither wanted to break it.

Until—

"Mother," Kyle said, "I think he knows."

Just those words made Massy's expression darken.

After a moment, she responded. "No. If he knew… our heads would already be rolling."

She paused before continuing, "We need to stay quiet for a while. The secret guards are all over the place right now. One wrong move, and we're dead."

Silence returned, heavier than before. Neither of them wanted to accept the situation.

But why did Dian send us here? Massy thought. If he knew we poisoned him… we'd already be dead.

Her mind raced, replaying every decision, every step. She had planned it all for years—his schedule, his favorite things, his likes and dislikes.

All so her son could inherit the title of Young Lord of the Skyster Family.

But the plan had failed.

What she didn't know… was that it had actually succeeded. It was just that Ziro had been sent into Dian's body after the poisoning.

...

Back at the Main Castle, Windsor Town

Dian browsed through the vast knowledge and memories he had inherited—events, histories, the world's geography, and its magical systems.

So… I'm currently at my home in Lias Town, the capital of the Kingdom of Rikos.

There were a total of five kingdoms on the continent:

1.Kingdom of Rikos

2.Kingdom of Elves

3.Kingdom of Dwarves

4.Kingdom of Onis

5.Kingdom of Drakes

And this world… was called Siros.

It housed various races—Elves, Dwarves, Demons, Dragons, Humans, and others.

The Skyster Family was the most prominent family in the entire Kingdom of Rikos—even more powerful than the Royal Family itself.

His parents, the "two gems" of the previous generations, had died in an all-out war defending the kingdom when he was just 11.

After their deaths, his only relatives were his aunt Massy and her son Kyle—the very people who poisoned him when he was 15.

His thoughts paused as he stood before a grand door. Every room in the castle had large doors, but this one was special.

It was the room of the Lord of the Skyster Family—built from the most expensive materials, enchanted with ancient spells, and strong enough to withstand attacks from a Supreme Mage 1st Stage.

As if recognizing his presence, the door opened with a deep creak.

Magnificent... Dian thought as he stepped in.

The massive walls were adorned with ornate candles giving off a soft, ancient glow. At the center stood a grand desk with a throne-like chair behind it, flanked by bookshelves on both sides.

In front of the desk were two red couches. A butler sat on one, reading documents.

The moment he saw Dian, the butler stood up.

"Young Lord," he said, bowing slightly.

Dian nodded and walked to the chair. The moment he sat, a strange sensation surged in his chest. Regal...

He shook it off and glanced at the papers on the desk.

The butler stepped forward, noticing his interest. "Young Lord, you should rest," he said gently.

"Don't worry, Butler," Dian replied. "I'm fine—more than fine. But what are these papers?" he asked, flipping through them.

"These are the family's financial reports for the year," the butler replied.

Before he could continue, there was a knock-knock at the door.

"Come in," Dian called.

A guard entered, bowed, and presented a letter.

"Young Lord, a message just arrived from the Blazing Wood Family."

Hm? Blazing Wood? Isn't that the one I'm… Dian took the letter and nodded. The guard left.

The door clicked shut behind him. The butler remained beside Dian, posture straight, silent like a loyal knight awaiting orders.

Dian studied the letter. The paper was thick, sealed with the emblem of a bird engulfed in flames. He broke the seal and read.

His expression shifted as he reached the end.

The butler didn't peek, despite standing so close. He stood like a stone, waiting.

"I had a feeling it'd turn out like this," Dian muttered, handing the letter to the butler.

As the butler read, his face contorted with confusion, disappointment, and anger.

"How can they do this?!" he growled, his fists tightening around the letter.

It began with a formal apology, then shifted to nullifying the engagement between the families. A few excuses were given—none involving Dian by name. Clearly, they feared the Skyster Family's wrath despite their own strength.

At the end, the letter included compensation and another "deep apology."

"Now, now, Butler—the letter's innocent," Dian said as he gently took it back.

The butler clenched his jaw. "Young Lord, don't worry. I'll personally go demand an explanation!"

"They just… can't do this!"

Dian remained calm. Well… what else could I expect? Who would let their daughter marry someone who was practically on his deathbed?

The letter was from the Blazing Wood Family—a prestigious house in the Kingdom of Rikos, known for wealth, influence, and producing top Mages annually.

Years ago, on his 10th birthday, both families had announced an engagement. It was to be a symbolic alliance—one of loyalty and strength.

But alas…

Well… there's "her" too, Dian thought as he recalled another face from the inherited memories.

A beautiful girl's image flashed vividly in his mind.
