Chapter 8 - Chapter 5 New Life and Laughter

Dawn's Revelation

The soft glow of Dantooine's early morning sun filtered through the high windows of Revan's private quarters in the Jedi Enclave. The stone walls, quiet and still, were broken only by the gentle rustling of silk sheets.

Revan stirred.

Carefully, he untangled himself from the warm embrace of Aayla Secura, whose hand rested over his chest, and Shaak Ti, nestled at his back. Both women lay peacefully, their expressions calm, the bond between the three unspoken yet strong.

He stood in silence, bare feet touching the cool floor. Drawing in a breath, he reached out with the Force—not outward to the galaxy, but inward, toward the two women he cherished.

And then he felt them.

Two faint, pulsing signatures… delicate but alive. One within Aayla. The other within Shaak Ti.

Life. New life.

His breath caught. A small, amazed smile touched his lips.

"I'm going to be a father," he whispered.

Neither woman stirred, but Revan leaned down, brushing a kiss to each of their foreheads. "And you've already given me more than I deserve."

Pulling on his robes and armor in quiet reverence, he stepped out into the stone halls of the Enclave—his steps lighter than they had been in years.

Elsewhere in the Enclave — Morning Mischief

Down the hall, Naruto and Ahsoka were in deep planning mode.

"Are you sure this'll work?" Ahsoka asked, balancing a dish of creamy blue nerf yogurt.

Naruto grinned. "Anakin walks in, trips the wire, gets a face full of breakfast. Perfect."

Ahsoka raised an eyebrow. "That's... not very Jedi-like."

"Good thing I'm still technically not a Jedi," Naruto winked.

Just then, Shmi Skywalker entered quietly, carrying a small datapad.

"I heard about your plans," she said softly, smiling warmly at the two youngsters. "I think I have something that might help."

Curious, Naruto and Ahsoka leaned in as Shmi brought up a holo-projection of baby pictures of Anakin — his first steps, his first smile, moments of pure innocence captured in light.

"These are from when he was very young," Shmi said fondly. "You might want to add these to your surprise."

Naruto's eyes sparkled. "This just got way better!"

Ahsoka grinned. "Thanks, Shmi. You're the best."

With renewed excitement, they prepared the tripwire and set up the holo-reel to activate immediately after the yogurt attack.

Anakin's Yogurt Surprise

Unaware of the setup, Anakin Skywalker floated down the corridor toward the garden lounge, where Shmi sat peacefully sipping tea and Padmé Amidala read nearby.

Naruto's tripwire triggered.

SPLOOSH!

Yogurt exploded across Anakin's robes.

Frozen, Anakin blinked at the dripping mess.

Shmi stifled a laugh. Padmé burst into a soft snort.

Anakin deadpanned, "I'm under attack by dairy-based insurgents."

From behind the corner, Naruto and Ahsoka peeked out, beaming.

"Mission accomplished!" Naruto declared.

"Strike Team Mischief: one. Jedi Knight: zero," Ahsoka giggled.

Anakin sighed, wiping yogurt with the Force. "Revenge is the Jedi way now?"

"Since just now," Ahsoka replied.

Padmé smiled. "Watching Anakin lose is oddly entertaining."

The Masters Arrive

The enclave's main doors opened and in walked the Jedi Masters: Qui-Gon Jinn, Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Depa Billaba, Luminara Unduli, Yaddle, Shaak Ti, and Aayla Secura, followed by Revan.

Their footsteps slowed as they noticed the holographic images flickering on the wall—a rolling slideshow of baby Anakin's photos, part of Naruto and Ahsoka's prank.

Qui-Gon's lips twitched in a rare smile. "A reminder that even the greatest Jedi begin as children."

Plo Koon nodded. "The Force shows its chosen from the start—through small moments, joyful memories."

Kit Fisto laughed. "I'd have loved to see him wield a lightsaber as a toddler."

Depa Billaba glanced at Luminara. "I assume this is one of Naruto and Ahsoka's 'training exercises'?"

Aayla gave a knowing smile. "Definitely their work."

Shaak Ti chuckled softly. "Their mischief keeps the halls alive. And it's good to remember to laugh."

Naruto popped his head out with a proud grin. "Guilty. We had help, though."

Ahsoka added, "Shmi gave us the photos. She's officially our co-conspirator."

Revan chuckled. "Your pranks bring balance in their own way—joy and laughter among duty."

Qui-Gon turned to Anakin, still dabbing yogurt with the Force. "Padawan, you're making quite the impression—both in the Force and in breakfast."

Anakin gave a sheepish grin. "Not exactly the way I wanted to start my day."

Padmé squeezed his arm gently. "Even Jedi Masters enjoy a good prank now and then."

Naruto winked. "Just wait till next time."

Ahsoka smiled. "But for now, back to training."

The Masters exchanged warm glances, their faces softened by shared memories, laughter, and the unspoken bonds of family.

The Departure for Kamino

The laughter and warmth of the prank still hung in the air as the Jedi Masters lingered in the hallway. Yet beneath the joy was the ever-present call of duty.

Qui-Gon Jinn's face shifted from amusement to calm determination. He turned to Revan, who nodded in understanding.

"The trail on the assassin grows colder here," Qui-Gon said quietly. "But a lead has come from the Outer Rim—Kamino."

Obi-Wan Kenobi, newly knighted and standing with a proud yet serious demeanor, stepped forward.

"I will accompany you," Obi-Wan said respectfully. "It's important we act swiftly."

Revan placed a steady hand on Obi-Wan's shoulder. "May the Force be with you both."

Aayla Secura offered a reassuring smile. "Trust in each other, and be cautious. The assassin is dangerous."

Shaak Ti added, "We await your safe return. The enclave will continue preparations."

Padmé Amidala, standing nearby, gave a hopeful nod. "We all depend on you."

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan bowed respectfully before heading towards the shuttle bay.

Naruto and Ahsoka watched the pair depart, sensing the gravity beneath the moment.

"More adventures ahead," Naruto whispered.

Ahsoka nodded, determination shining in her eyes. "And more challenges for all of us."

As the shuttle took off toward the stars, the enclave began to settle back into its rhythm—but the calm was only temporary.

The hunt for the assassin had truly begun.
