Chapter 1 - 443

"The Just Clown" is causing trouble again!

Upon entering the conference room, the same thought crossed the minds of the three individuals.

If this was not the case, even with the failed arrest operation, morale would be somewhat low, but the atmosphere would not be so tense.

Sure enough, when all the detectives involved in the operation arrived, the Chief Superintendent solemnly played a video on the projection screen in the conference room.

But this video was not another attack on a passerby; it was a video from their recent arrest operation!

"Foolish detectives actually obstructed this clown from carrying out justice. They deserve to be beaten!"

Seeing this title on the video, the expressions of the detectives watching the clown in the video instantly distorted into grimaces.

In the video, it can be clearly seen that facing the two burly detectives, he chose to escape, and the two detectives immediately chased after him.

With the threatening presence of the two detectives, coupled with their fierce shouts, it seemed quite intimidating.

However, the following scenes made the detectives watching the video look even more unpleasant.

The clown, who was originally running away, suddenly turned around and attacked, punching the detective in front of him in the face, followed by a kick to the chest of the detective who reacted later.

After knocking him down, the clown skillfully delivered an upward elbow strike to the injured detective's face, and then executed a spinning kick, knocking both of them.

After doing all this, the clown even had time to shake his head, pose, and then casually escape.

The video also included a scene of the clown doing parkour while being chased by the detectives; those fierce detectives in the video had become objects completely toyed with by the little clown.

Compared to the clown in the alley using miscellaneous objects or walls to perform cool parkour moves, the detectives being toyed with seemed more like "clowns."

The final shot showed the clown leaping onto the roof of a two-story building, patting his butt under the gaze of the detectives, and easily jumping to another roof to depart.

"Damn it!"

"This is just too lawless!"

"This is provocation! This is a serious provocation against our police department!"

After the video ended, the detectives began to curse loudly.

"Quiet!"

As the Chief Superintendent, Toshiro Odagiri, looked at the chaotic scene below and reprimanded, "You are detectives from the police department! What's the difference between you and those gangsters if you act like this?"

Upon hearing Toshiro Odagiri's rebuke, the detectives in the room calmed down and obediently returned to their seats.

"First, we need to ensure the safety of the public," Toshiro Odagiri said solemnly. "Deploy personnel to patrol the main streets and alleys, making sure to guarantee the safety of the public!"

"Yes!"

A deafening unanimous response echoed through the entire conference room. The detectives, who were holding back their anger, seemed to want to express their determination through this response.

"Well... in addition to bait-style trapping, we also need to take the initiative from other angles."

After Toshiro Odagiri finished speaking, he looked at Detective Senichi and said, "Investigating the clown is now in Detective Senichi's hands. I hope you can find important clues."

"On this point, after watching the video just now, I've made some discoveries."

Senichi's words instantly attracted the attention of all the detectives present, and Toshiro Odagiri's eyes lit up as he asked, "Oh? What did you find?"

"Actually, I had this idea before, but after watching this video, it confirmed my suspicion."

Facing everyone's gaze, Senichi felt no pressure and calmly raised a question, "How did this clown shoot the video?

At first, I thought the clown set up the camera in advance and attacked passersby. The locations where the clown attacked pedestrians were also not on main roads with heavy traffic but rather on smaller streets.

In such places, because there weren't too many pedestrians passing by, it would be possible to set up the camera in advance when there was no one around.

However, with the joint efforts of us detectives in pursuit, I made a significant discovery!"

Senichi looked at the detectives present and smiled, "I'm not saying this to comfort anyone. Although we didn't catch the opponent, it gave us more information about them.

Next time, with precautions, we won't be caught off guard.

And it's because of your pursuit and the clown's arrogance that I found a crucial clue. Did any of you notice the difference in the video's perspective compared to previous ones?"

The experienced detectives immediately grasped Senichi's words, understanding the meaning behind what he said, and a murmur of excitement began in the conference room.

After hearing Senichi's words, they realized they had obtained very important information.

That is, the clown's filming was not staged; there was someone actively following and filming!

After all, this latest video was of their pursuit of the clown. The two detectives had covered a distance before being ambushed, and the perspective was clearly from behind them.

In other words, the clown had an accomplice!

"Senzan, I remember those two are your subordinates, right?" Toshiro Odagiri looked at a man in the front row and said, "Call them and ask if they saw anyone suspicious carrying a camera.

Others too, if you were involved in pursuing the clown and arrived on the scene in time, think carefully if there was such a person."

"Yes!" The man stood up, responded, and then picked up his phone. Under the slightly expectant gaze of everyone, he dialed a number.

After the conversation, the man named Senzan shook his head helplessly, "Sorry, during their pursuit, they didn't see anyone like that."

"Sorry, we didn't notice any suspicious person either."

"We didn't..."

Upon hearing this news, the detectives' recently uplifted hopes were instantly shattered.

"That's actually good news."

Upon hearing the reports from everyone, Senichi smiled with relief, "If that's the case, we can eliminate pedestrians first. After all, if someone is following, it would definitely attract attention.

And cars can be ruled out because of the narrow alleys during the chase, and the possibility of self-ignition.

So, the remaining option for quick movement and filming simultaneously is only one – riding a bicycle!"
