"You realized you couldn't just sit and wait, so you told the police you needed to use the restroom, planning to escape from there."
"As soon as you ran out of the hospital, you ran into the bespectacled elementary schooler from yesterday."
"Without a word, he sent another soccer ball flying at you. You were hit squarely and lost consciousness again."
"When you opened your eyes, you found yourself back in the hospital—but this time, you weren't handcuffed."
"The kid who kicked the ball and the horned girl came to apologize."
"That's when you learned the case had been solved. With the help of the famous detective Mouri Kogoro, the police had caught the real killer. You were free."
"Two days later, you were discharged from the hospital."
"Wandering aimlessly down the street, a vintage Porsche suddenly stopped in front of you."
"Inside were a burly idiot and a silver-haired man with a sinister expression."
"'Where did you put it?' the silver-haired man asked."
"You stared blankly at him, clearly confused. The man frowned, clearly not expecting this response."
"Just as he was about to press you further, a motorcycle came charging in. Instinctively, you dodged, and the person on the back of the bike tossed a package to you."
"The silver-haired man saw the package and immediately ordered the brute to drive off."
"Before you could react, they were gone—and then you were surrounded by police."
"You were taken to the station again. The police questioned you, but you knew nothing."
"Even though you truly knew nothing, the police didn't believe you."
"You took the fall once again."
"Two months later, you were sent to court and sentenced to 20 years in prison."
"In prison, you were beaten daily and lived in misery."
"Eventually, you couldn't take it anymore and started fighting back."
"Your resistance enraged the boss. A group of inmates ganged up on you. You managed to kill two in a last stand but were ultimately overwhelmed and beaten to death."
"You died."
"Game over."
"During your time as the scapegoat, you tanked two satellite-destroying soccer shots from the death-god elementary schooler, a punch from the horned girl Mouri Ran, and months of beatings in prison. Your physique has improved: +25 Physique Points."
"Damn!!" Uchiha Yuan sat up from bed that very moment.
25 points in Physique? That was insane! He only had 36 Physique before, and every 5 days of training gave him just one point. This was equivalent to 125 days of training!
He quickly opened his status panel, and the next moment, his eyes widened in shock.
Along with the 25-point increase in Physique, both his Vitality and Chakra had increased by 5 points each.
Yuan frowned. If he remembered correctly, evolving his Sharingan didn't increase his Chakra at all. This time, however, Physique increases had led to growth in both Chakra and Vitality.
He had noticed this before—when his right eye evolved to double tomoe via attribute points, there was no Chakra increase. And even when the left eye evolved naturally to double tomoe, it only increased his ocular power (瞳力), but not Chakra.
Logically speaking, the evolution of the Sharingan should increase Chakra.
After all, Chakra is derived from physical energy + spiritual energy. Ocular power represents spiritual energy; Physique represents physical energy. When both grow, Chakra should grow too.
So why did attribute points only ever affect one stat at a time, without influencing others?
Was it because the roulette system had forcibly split all his attributes into independent silos?
Or was something else at work?
Now that he had received 25 points in Physique from the text game, the massive boost had caused both his Vitality and Chakra to rise by 5 points. This left Yuan confused.
After some thought, he pulled out the Magic Conch Shell and asked:"Magic Conch, are the stats on my panel interrelated? Hail the Magic Conch!"
A moment later, a robotic female voice replied:
"Your Ocular Power (瞳力) and Natural Affinity (自然親和) are independent attributes. The remaining three—Physique, Chakra, and Vitality—are interlinked.
Through natural training, for every 5 points of Physique gained, you will gain 1 point in Chakra and 1 point in Vitality.
Once your Vitality improves, Physique will grow faster, and Chakra regeneration will also increase.(P.S.: This refers to natural growth, not point allocation.)
Previously, you didn't see any changes on the panel because it takes 5 days of training to increase 1 point in Physique. The Chakra increase from that is minimal and doesn't show up on the panel.
Same goes for Vitality. Also, your starting Vitality was already 7. Your Physique had to first match that level before feedback appeared."
After hearing the Conch's explanation, Yuan understood.
His attributes weren't strictly separate. It was just that gains from natural increases were too subtle to show up in the panel.
This time, the 25-point spike in Physique instantly triggered 5-point jumps in both Vitality and Chakra. It confirmed that boosting Physique could lead to increases in the other two.
Vitality hadn't changed before because its starting value was already 7. Only when Physique reached 35 did the numbers align enough to produce measurable change.
To verify the Conch's answer, Yuan allocated 5 more attribute points into Physique.
Just as expected, his Vitality and Chakra each increased by 1 point again.
Now he fully understood how the roulette's point allocation worked.
Physique, Vitality, and Chakra were linked, while Ocular Power and Natural Affinity were completely separate.
This also explained why evolving the Sharingan didn't increase his Chakra.
And why assigning points into Natural Affinity before graduation yielded no side effects—because it was an isolated stat.
Having figured this out, Yuan opened his status panel:
Chakra: 90
Physique: 66
Ocular Power: 100
Vitality: 12
Natural Affinity: 4
Level: lv18 (1/20)
Attribute Points: 9
Before he realized it, he had already reached Level 18. He figured there would be a big reward upon reaching Level 20.
Now he just needed 30 more attribute points.
After some thought, he chose not to use the 9 points he had. He planned to save them up—once he hit 39 points, he'd assign them all at once and jump straight to Level 20 for the golden box reward.
As for the two white boxes he earned from going from Level 16 to 18, he claimed them casually.
Both boxes turned out to contain explosive tags.
Yuan tossed them into storage without a second thought—he already had plenty of those.
