**Chapter 24: Beast Mode Unlocked**
**Author's Note – Aish the Unstoppable, to her dangerously soft SHADOWHEARTS 💋🔥**
You asked for romance wrapped in fire.
You wanted tenderness with a sinful smile.
You wanted Veer *unhinged with devotion*, and Aanya *ready to burn in it.*
Well, this chapter?
This is the honeymoon after haunting.
It's their first night with no ghosts.
Just **desire**, **healing**, and a man who has waited too long to worship the girl who saved him.
Take a deep breath.
We're not holding back tonight.
---
The House was asleep.
Every candle had burned down. Every room was quiet. And outside, the garden swayed under silver moonlight, the petals of marigolds brushing gently like blessings.
But inside?
Inside, something far louder stirred.
Aanya stood at the window of their room, draped in a deep crimson satin night saree, her hair loose and falling down her back like liquid fire. The gold anklet Veer had gifted her on their wedding night glinted with every slow step she took toward the bed.
She didn't say anything.
Didn't need to.
Because Veer—leaning against the doorway shirtless, sherwani discarded, hair tousled, gaze darkened with something *feral*—had already decided tonight was the night he'd ruin her *softly*.
"You're going to be the end of me," he said, voice low and wild.
"Is that your beast mode speaking?"
"No," he said, stepping forward, "this is your husband who just watched you change the fate of a house, love me through blood and bone, and still walk out of it looking like a goddess asking to be worshipped."
She raised an eyebrow. "That was a very long way to say you're obsessed with me."
"I'm not obsessed," he murmured, stepping behind her, his breath warming the back of her neck. "I'm possessed. And I like it."
She turned slowly, facing him, their bodies inches apart.
"You're serious?"
"Serious enough to say if you blink too long, I'll carry you to that bed like a villain from a love story with no brakes."
"Do it," she whispered.
He didn't hesitate.
In one swift, deliberate move, Veer bent and **lifted her in bridal style**, holding her as if she weighed less than the love he carried for her in his chest.
"Still ready?" he asked, lips against her shoulder. "Because I warned you—I don't just kiss. I consume."
"And I don't just love," she breathed. "I burn."
"Then let's ruin each other."
---
The bed welcomed them like a blessing.
Veer laid her down with reverence, kneeling beside her like a worshipper at an altar he finally had permission to pray at.
He kissed her ankle first, then her wrist, then her pulse.
Every kiss was a vow.
Every touch was a memory forgiven.
"This body carried your grief," he whispered, kissing her collarbone. "This skin remembered your name before you even told me."
"Veer—"
"Let me love you like you deserve. No ghosts. No curses. Just me."
"Just us."
He smiled into her neck.
> "Beast mode is not just fire, Mrs. Veer. It's devotion."
What followed was slow, raw, and so laced with love it felt like breaking in the most holy way. His hands trembled the first time he removed her pallu—not out of hesitation, but reverence.
Her fingers curled into his hair when he whispered *"Mine"* like it was prayer.
There was no rush.
No fear.
Only the soft sound of breaths syncing and hearts remembering they could beat without running.
And when it was over—
When they lay tangled in sheets and kisses, his forehead pressed against her shoulder and her leg over his hip—
She whispered:
> "Still breathing?"
> "Barely," he rasped. "You broke me. Fix me with kisses."
> "You're unbelievable."
She laughed, full and real.
> "I like married Veer."
> "He's yours. For all lifetimes. Even if I come back as a ghost, I'm haunting your pillow."
> "You already do."
---
The next morning, sunlight painted their skin gold.
Aanya woke first, and for a long moment, she just watched him.
This boy—this man—who once flinched at love, now slept like peace had written its name across his spine.
His hand was still holding hers.
She kissed his knuckles softly.
> "You're my forever."
His lips curled without opening his eyes.
> "Told you… beast mode is forever."
