It was now our job to stay busy for the rest of the day until my new armor was made which wouldn't be hard. This place has plenty of shops for us to see and tons of scenery to enjoy.
Bristiel was located in quite a scenic spot with a nice view of flowery fields, Giant mountains in the background, and even the trees seemed to have a good variety.
The party then began to explore the town of Bristiel as they wait for Artemis's armor since it was quite the exquisite town to visit. Various shops have unique or rare items that no one has ever seen in other towns, cities, or even kingdoms themselves.
Amelia comes running back to Artemis with a strange ball shaped artifact in her hand, several different elven engravings were across it. "I found something near and bought it, what do you think!" Amelia says with excitement, her hand holding onto the artifact.
Artifacts are something I didn't think much about when I first woke up in this world but I should've remembered that they were important in games too. I know this world isn't like a game but it's definitely got some features to it that make it seem that way.
I can only wonder how strong artifacts are here or what they give to the people who use them. Usually some would help with enhancing magic, stamina, or even other various stat boosts.
Artemis takes a good look at the artifact in her hand before speaking. "Did the shop keeper tell you anything about it?" Artemis asks with a bit of curiosity.
She pauses for a second— "Yeah he told me that it was really good for a mage to use, so I figured I primarily use magic— So this works for me." Amelia responds with a small smile on her face.
I didn't really know what anyone's strengths were just yet since I've been the main one in combat so far. I didn't want to take the chance of anyone dying... but it we're going to be a party it's normal for everyone to help.
I'll have to start accepting their help when it's a possibility in a fight. I know Cynthia is more suited for up close combat since she uses swords like I do.
Amelia seems to be more of a magic based fighter and Shimada is still a man of mystery to me. I'm not sure if he uses magic, fights up close, or if he's a range fighter with a bow or something.
I will find out at some point in time so there's no reason to stress about it right now at least.
The day starts to fly by as they all check out various shops with different specialties for each one. Some have really nice clothing from all around the continent while others have various fruits or sweets to try.
It was definitely quite the way to pass time as they all enjoy the shops together. Most of the party seem to be happy with everything they've experienced today, even Cynthia, the girl who's not smiled much since joining them.
"That one, let's check out that one!" Amelia shouts with excitement.
Amelia drags Artemis towards a jewelry shop while Shimada and Cynthia follow closely behind them. This continues on for a bit longer before the sun can finally be seen starting to set.
Shimada also hasn't spoken much since they went to the blacksmiths shop early in the morning. Its almost as if he's in his own world today.
He stops while taking notice of the sun going down. "We should head back to the blacksmiths shop, your amor should be done Artemis." Shimada says with a somewhat serious tone.
"You're right. Let's go get my armor." Artemis replies before starting to head that direction.
I did lose track of time for quite awhile there as Amelia dragged me around but it did make the day go faster. I'm quite excited to get something new for the first time since coming here.
Maybe this armor will also help with hiding the chains around my body since they don't seem to be disappearing any time soon. The one around my neck is the most noticeable one but it's fine.
The ones around my wrists look cool at least so I can't complain about them too much.
Eventually they make it back to the blacksmiths shop after a few minutes of walking through the crowded streets of Bristiel. Upon entering the shop they can see the dwarf is all done with the armor and it sits nicely on the counter up front.
"Haha, just in time to get my best work yet!" The Dwarf shouts with confidence in his voice after laughing.
My first set of armor, like a genuine set that was crafted just for me. I don't care if it was some template, this armor will suit me quite nicely.
"What exactly is this armor anyway?" Artemis asks with a bit of curiosity.
The dwarf goes quiet for a second as he prepares to answer. "Its a silver set that's specifically crafted from a rare form of silver that could only be found within giants territory, it's a lot more durable and the engravings mostly signify strength and courage." The Dwarf responds while crossing his arms.
Artemis didn't hesitate after that to put the new gear in, dawning the new silver armor over his old clothes, attaching the cloak to the back of the chest piece while using the mask to cover his face.
This definitely covers the chain on my neck but the ones on my wrists are now the more noticeable ones. I guess they kind of go with the armor quite a bit.
"It suits you perfectly Artemis!" Amelia shouts with excitement, a big smile on her face.
She's been awfully excited about everything here but it's better than her being sad or angry at least. "You're right, at least now I finally have a proper set of armor." Artemis replies while looking down at himself.
It'll definitely make a difference in my fights going forward, but I hope I don't grow out of it at some point. I forget that I'm still quite young sometimes since I have the mental age from my previous life.
If that even makes sense, what am I going on about?
