Captain Yami's Quarters
Yami leaned back in his chair, blowing smoke from a fresh cigarette as Vanessa recounted the events.
"A headless soldier? A giant magic beast? A collapsing ancient ruin?" he echoed with raised eyebrows. "And Asta wiped out a whole bandit squad and saved the girl again?"
"He even used his Demon-Dweller Sword to absorb and reflect a massive curse spell in a zero-magic zone," Vanessa added, sipping her wine. "Not to mention… he may have picked up something ancient. Something powerful."
Yami smirked. "Tch. That kid's turning out to be a real monster. Guess I lucked out when I picked him, huh?"
Vanessa leaned in playfully. "More like you picked up a treasure."
Back in Asta's Room
"Hmph… is your room always this tiny?" Noelle looked around with a slightly disgusted frown. "It's so narrow and plain. But… I guess it's not dirty."
Asta collapsed onto the bed with a grin. "Compared to being homeless like I was at the church in Hage, this is heaven."
Noelle's expression softened. Despite her pride, she knew Asta had endured more than most nobles ever could.
"My back's sore," Asta mumbled. "Right here."
"Here?" Noelle leaned in and gently rubbed the spot he pointed to. "You pushed yourself too hard again…"
"Mmm… harder would be great!" Asta sighed in relief. "Can you massage me until I fall asleep?"
"Dream on!" Noelle yelped, snatching her hands back and blushing furiously. "You're lucky I helped this much, you muscle-headed moron!"
She bolted out the door before her heart exploded.
Asta chuckled, sitting up the moment she left. "She's really cute when she's flustered."
System Activation: Reward Phase
With a satisfied smirk, Asta opened his mysterious System Menu, which had appeared after his grueling battles. It wasn't something anyone else could see—it was his secret, likely tied to his Anti-Magic and the demonic energy within him.

"YESSS! Finally!" Asta grinned, eyes gleaming. "The Sharingan! This is the real deal!"
If he could combine the Anti-Magic of his swords with advanced perception and clone techniques… no enemy, no matter how ancient or cursed, would stand a chance!
"Exchange for the Three-Tomoe Sharingan!"
The corner of Asta's mouth curled into a confident smirk as he stood inside his modest room at the Black Bulls' base, his arms crossed like a war-hardened hero. With over 5 million system points after the ruins expedition, he had every right to be this bold.
Ding Dong! Three-Tomoe Sharingan exchanged successfully. 100,000 points deducted!
Three-Tomoe Sharingan
Normal Function: Greatly enhances perception, slows enemy movement from the user's perspective, heightens clarity during fast-paced combat.
Special Effects: 70% chance to cast genjutsu illusions, 70% chance to mimic enemy magic spells (based on elemental compatibility), and 70% chance to see through magical disguises or transformations.
Asta's pupils shifted—deep crimson irises forming three jet-black tomoe around each eye. The sight was stunning. Unlike his usual bright, battle-ready expression, a calm but dangerous aura pulsed from him now. His vision sharpened to a surreal degree; he could sense subtle magical fluctuations in the air and even faint mana trails left behind by others.
"These eyes… they're insane," Asta muttered, eyes gleaming. "I can copy magic now, even though I can't generate it... this is crazy."
Despite having no natural mana, Asta's anti-magic body—infused with devil power and physical enhancement training—could now observe and mimic magical techniques, provided he used his anti-magic sword or physical movements to replicate the outcome. Essentially, he wasn't casting magic, but reproducing its effects. A genius workaround through the system.
With time to spare and more than enough points, Asta moved to the next prize.
"Exchange for Healing Spring Water."
'Ding Dong! Healing Spring Water exchanged successfully. 50,000 points deducted!'
Healing Spring Water:
Effect: Instantly restores all physical injuries, purges hidden wounds and fatigue, and replenishes physical stamina, anti-magic reserves, and even temporary spiritual exhaustion.
Usage Limit: Infinite, as long as points are available.
He cracked open the sleek glass bottle. The golden liquid shimmered like liquid light. He gulped it down.
"Gulp… Gulp… Hah!"
"Hic!"
An overwhelming wave of rejuvenation surged through his body. The soreness from battle disappeared. Torn muscle fibers regenerated, and his stamina returned to peak. Even the minor strains he didn't notice were healed.
"This stuff's better than recovery magic from the Royal Knights!" he laughed. "With this, even if I go all out using Ki, anti-magic, and my swords… I'll never need to hold back!"
****
Outside the base, Asta summoned his newest item—Flying Jade.
"Let's try this next... Fly!"
Fifteen jade shards materialized under his feet, forming a sleek disc-shaped platform.
Though slightly slower than an elite broom like Finral's portal-assisted movement or Noelle's Valkyrie Dress in speed, it gave him independent flight—something even magicless knights like himself rarely had access to. He soared away from the base, toward the forest where he could train freely.
Once deep in the woods, Asta activated the next technique.
"Exchange for Shadow Clone Jutsu."
Ding Dong! Shadow Clone Jutsu exchanged successfully. 50,000 points deducted!
B-Rank Ninjutsu: Shadow Clone Technique
Effect: Creates up to nine fully independent physical clones, each sharing 10% of the user's stamina and combat ability. Clones can act and think independently. Their experiences return to the original upon dispelling. Can be used alongside Ki and swordsmanship techniques.
Asta formed a single hand seal. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Puff! Puff! Puff!
Nine perfect Asta copies appeared, each brimming with energy, their anti-magic swords summoned.
"Alright, let's split up and test out battle techniques! Clones, go hunt down some wild boars or magical beasts!"
"Yes, sir!" the clones roared in unison, bolting into the woods.
A few minutes later, all nine clones returned, each dragging a massive boar behind them like it was a bag of laundry. When Asta dispelled them, he was hit with a rush of shared memories: different terrain strategies, sword testing techniques, even reflex practice using Ki and eye movement prediction via the Sharingan.
"This… this is better than any training I've done before. I can spar with myself!" Asta laughed.
Without hesitation, he moved on to the next jutsu.
"Exchange for Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation!"
'Ding Dong! B-Rank Fire Jutsu exchanged successfully. 50,000 points deducted!'
Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation (Katon: Gōka Mekkyaku):
Effect: A massive wall of flame exhaled from the mouth. Comparable to large-scale fire spells, capable of incinerating terrain and enemies in a wide cone. Requires moderate chakra and mastery of flame control.
Though he lacked chakra in the traditional sense, the system allowed Asta to convert points into pseudo-chakra, similar to how his anti-magic swords channel energy. Holding his breath, he mimicked the hand signs and exhaled.
"Katon: Gōka Mekkyaku!!"
A sea of flame surged from his mouth, scorching the clearing. Trees ignited in the distance. The sheer heat warped the air.
"Whoa—! This… This is as strong as Salamander's flame breath!" Asta gasped. "Imagine combining this with my Demon-Slayer Sword's anti-magic slash!"
His muscles tensed, his Sharingan spun, and the forest around him seemed to slow down as his enhanced perception activated again.
"At this rate... I won't just be the Wizard King—I'll be something they've never seen before. The magicless knight who defied all limits...!"
And with that, Asta leapt into the sky again, the Flying Jade gleaming beneath him like a celestial chariot.
