Chapter 49 - Chapter 49 Possibility of Cure

After Prometheus left, Mobius slightly raised his eyes, looked at Hephaestus, and said, "My dear Lord Hephaestus, Lord Prometheus has left. Do you have anything you want to tell me?"

"Oh?" Hephaestus raised his eyes and asked with some curiosity, "How did you know I didn't want to see this so-called Prometheus?"

Mobius shook his head and said, "I don't know, my dear Lord Hephaestus. I just had a feeling. I felt like you weren't very fond of Lord Prometheus."

"Cough, cough." Hephaestus sneered and said, "He's just Zeus's lackey. I've never been fond of Zeus's lackeys. I don't welcome this god. You..." Hephaestus paused for a long time before asking a question, still not saying the unwelcome words.

Mobius placed the unknown red flower in front of Hephaestus and smiled, "Hello, my dear Lord Hephaestus, let's reintroduce ourselves. I am a descendant of Zeus, and his youngest child, at least for now."

"The youngest child now?" Hephaestus burst into laughter. "How ridiculous! The youngest child now. Aren't you afraid of Zeus's jealousy? You're here to speak for Zeus, aren't you?"

Mobius nodded and said, "Yes, I'm here to speak for Your Highness Zeus. However, Your Highness Zeus is not afraid of any so-called threat from me. I think Your Highness Zeus is more magnanimous than you imagine. Moreover, Olympus will face a crisis in the future, so Your Highness Zeus is currently looking for any way to enhance Olympus's combat power."

"Any way?" Hephaestus sneered and said, "How ridiculous! A guy who doesn't even care about his own children actually has such an realization. Oh, right, Olympus is his domain now, so he will naturally worry. But you, as his child, actually speak for Zeus. How truly ridiculous."

Mobius shook his head and said, "I'm not speaking for Zeus; I'm speaking for you and myself. As a god of healing, I have too many constraints, but I have the right to choose for myself."

"Lord Hephaestus, do you know? I still don't have any self-preservation ability. All my protection comes from Lord Ares. The power of God of War Ares prevents me from being coveted by other gods. So I have to desperately improve myself, and you, Lord, are a very good bridge."

"Ares..." The handle of the forging hammer in Hephaestus's hand was crushed, a hint of jealousy was revealed in his eyes, and his pulsating, fiery heart stopped once again.

He stared intently at Mobius and said, "Since you've already found a god who can help you, what are you doing here?" After speaking, there was a hint of coldness in Hephaestus's eyes, wanting to send him away.

"Cough, cough." Mobius said softly, "I want to heal you, my dear Lord Hephaestus. I know that the hunchback on your back and the deformity of your leg are caused by the fusion of the powers of water and fire, preventing you from healing."

"So?" Mobius's words made Hephaestus's face turn cold. "Are you here to mock me? How can you, a mere god of weak divine power, heal the injuries of me, a god of intermediate divine power? Even if you master the power of healing, it's absolutely impossible to cross such a large class to heal my body."

"I know my own body. I once begged Mother Earth Gaia to use a drop of the Spring of Life from her Vial of Life to heal my body's injuries, but my body still couldn't heal. Do you think you, a mere god of weak divine power, can compare to the Vial of Life in Mother Earth Gaia's hand?" Hephaestus slammed a hammer in front of Mobius.

However, this so-called forging hammer had little deterrent power, not even enough to make Mobius retreat.

Mobius smiled and said, "Yes, my power cannot compare to Mother Earth. But is the Vial of Life a divine artifact of the law of fertility? It points directly to the origin, but healing is just an accompanying effect of fertility. Your injuries are from the origin, a clash of the laws of water and fire, preventing your body from self-healing and making your body more fragile, isn't it? Otherwise, Lord Hephaestus, why would you be in this volcano?"

"How could the Vial of Life heal you!" Mobius said with a faint smile.

Hephaestus breathed a sigh of relief, exhaling a mouthful of turbid air, and said, "Congratulations, Lord Mobius, what you said is completely correct. You are not like those gods who covet my divine artifacts, who don't even clearly state my most fundamental injuries."

"Yes, so what do you want to do? How do you want to heal the scars on my body? As the God of Fire, yes, I have no way to change this situation, so what about you?"

Mobius said with a beaming smile, "I have many ways. The power of healing can draw out all ailments that are detrimental to the body. I can use the power of healing to gradually draw out the special power mixed by water and fire, allowing Lord Hephaestus to slowly recover. What do you think?"

Hephaestus felt that Mobius's words made sense, paused for a moment, and said, "Then I hope you do so. But I don't know how you should do it? Do you have any so-called treatment plan?"

Mobius said with a beaming smile, "Of course, my dear Lord Hephaestus, you must know that as a god of healing, I master all methods of healing. What do you think I should do?"

"Alright," Mobius stopped beating around the bush and continued. The surrounding lava continuously churned, and the blazing firelight reflected Mobius's smiling face.

The lava condensed into a spherical shape in Hephaestus's hand, a barely perceptible smile on his lips, and his dead heart beat once again. This time, his appearance should have a chance to recover.

In the beginning, his heart had always been beating, yearning for someone to heal his injuries and free him from this ugly appearance, but as one divine artifact after another was scattered, and hope was repeatedly dashed, his heart gradually grew cold. He no longer yearned for hope.

May Mobius bring him new hope and salvation!
