Chapter 4 - Phoenix, Chaos Ancient Dragon

"What a smart child," the Gray-Clothed Soul Master praised. He walked closer, wanting to pat Yun Ze's head, but Yun Ze dodged him.

After being dodged, the gray-clothed man smiled awkwardly and pointed to a metal instrument on the edge of the wall: "Inject your Soul Power into it and test your Innate Soul Power."

Yun Ze did as he was told. Having just awakened, he could already control his Soul Power with ease, retracting and releasing it freely.

As he injected his Soul Power, the numbers on the instrument panel immediately changed: one, two, three... The number quickly reached ten.

Seeing this, the Gray-Clothed Soul Master was delighted. He had guessed correctly; this child was indeed an Innate Full Soul Power user.

Just as he was about to tell him to stop, his pupils suddenly constricted. He was horrified to see the number jump from ten to eleven.

Then came twelve, thirteen... The numbers kept rising. With every increase, his heart took a hit.

Now, his mouth was wide open, too surprised to speak. His heart pounded, and he had a look of seeing a ghost.

"Twenty levels?" the Gray-Clothed Soul Master said stiffly, rubbing his eyes, worried that he was hallucinating.

After confirming it was indeed twenty levels, the Gray-Clothed Soul Master was completely stunned.

Yun Ze took his hand off the instrument. He didn't feel much about having Innate Twenty-Level Soul Power.

Looking at the stunned Soul Master, he said, "Uncle, I should be getting a Soul Spirit next, right?"

In the past few years, he had read many books about Soul Masters and was already well-versed in some of the rules of this world.

Levels like ten, twenty, and thirty all required obtaining a Soul Ring to break through.

Before, it was called directly obtaining a Soul Ring, but now it was called obtaining a Soul Spirit.

"Uh... yes, no," the Gray-Clothed Soul Master snapped back to attention, nodding and then shaking his head. He quickly said, "Little friend, stay here for a while. Uncle needs to go out for a bit and will be right back. Remember, don't leave no matter what."

With that, the Gray-Clothed Soul Master rushed out in a hurry, leaving Yun Ze alone in the awakening room.

Yun Ze shook his head slightly, having no intention of leaving. He raised his left hand, and a dark gray gas surged from his palm, condensing into a dragon shape.

The small dragon was only as long as an index finger, very miniature. Its body was dark gray, its appearance majestic and imposing, with an air of looking down on the world, and it was surrounded by chaotic energy.

As soon as it appeared, the gravity in the room seemed to increase several times. The air became thick, feeling like a swamp.

Seeing this dragon-shaped phantom, Yun Ze showed a satisfied smile. It was indeed the Chaos Ancient Dragon.

This was naturally not a real Chaos Ancient Dragon. Like his Phoenix Martial Soul, it was a manifestation of his bloodline.

The reason he was happy to see this Martial Soul was that it proved one thing: the Ancient Dragon Life Pearl integrated into his body had worked.

As long as it worked, it meant that the price he paid was worth it.

He stared at the Chaos Ancient Dragon for a while, then put it away, quietly waiting for the Gray-Clothed Soul Master to return.

Half an hour later, Yun Ze took off the helmet used for testing mental power.

Standing in front of him were the Gray-Clothed Soul Master who helped him awaken his Martial Soul, and a Black-Clothed Old Man.

The Black-Clothed Old Man was not tall, slightly plump, with many wrinkles on his face and only white hair, but he was full of spirit and showed no signs of aging or fatigue.

The two stared at the instrument data with wide eyes, simultaneously exclaiming in disbelief: "One hundred eighty-two?"

One hundred eighty-two, Spirit Communication Realm spiritual power! "Hall Master, is there something wrong with this instrument?" The gray-clothed Soul Master swallowed hard, his face full of shock.

The person in charge of a branch pagoda of the Spirit Transfer Pagoda in a local area is generally called a Hall Master, while the one located at the headquarters of the Spirit Transfer Pagoda is called the Pagoda Master.

The Hall Master glanced at the gray-clothed Soul Master with the look of someone watching an idiot: "Something could be wrong with you, but it's impossible for this instrument to be wrong."

The gray-clothed Soul Master gave an awkward smile and said, "Then this child's spiritual power is too terrifying."

The Hall Master completely ignored the gray-clothed Soul Master, looked at Yun Ze, and instantly revealed a kind and friendly smile:

"Little friend, think about it seriously again. Our Spirit Transfer Pagoda is one of the top forces on the continent."

"Joining us will definitely be beneficial and harmless to you. All resources of the Spirit Transfer Pagoda will be prioritized for you."

"I even dare to guarantee that you will definitely become a top figure in the Spirit Transfer Pagoda in the future, and it's not impossible to even become the Pagoda Master."

"You should know that the Spirit Transfer Pagoda Master is a figure who can call the wind and summon the rain on the continent. If you become the Pagoda Master, how majestic would that be?"

Innate level twenty Soul Power, six years old with one hundred eighty-two points of spiritual power. Such terrifying talent is simply shocking and must be actively recruited.

Yun Ze's answer was still a shake of his head, directly ignoring the Hall Master's persuasion, and said, "Uncle, don't waste your breath on me. No matter how much you say, it's useless. Now that the spiritual power has been tested, can you take me to choose a Soul Spirit?"

Seeing Yun Ze's firm attitude, the Hall Master looked disappointed and said, "Since that's the case, I won't say any more."

"Come with me," saying this, the Hall Master was the first to leave the room.

He didn't have to personally take Yun Ze there; doing so was entirely to build a closer relationship with him.

Yun Ze followed the Hall Master to another room.

It's worth mentioning that they were not on the first floor now, but on the tenth floor of the Spirit Transfer Pagoda.

This room was nearly two hundred square meters in area, with large metal instruments placed along the edges of the four walls. They had glass covers, and inside, yellow and purple energy masses floated.

"Your spiritual power has reached one hundred eighty-two, theoretically you can absorb hundred-year Soul Spirits and thousand-year Soul Spirits."

"But my suggestion is to choose a hundred-year Soul Spirit to absorb. The energy of a thousand-year Soul Spirit is too powerful, and your body may not be able to withstand it."

The absorption of a Soul Spirit not only requires considering spiritual power but also whether the Soul Master's body can withstand it.

The Hall Master said, leading Yun Ze to one of the instruments, which contained hundred-year Soul Rings, numbering over a hundred.

Yun Ze curiously examined the yellow light masses inside the glass cover, observing them carefully.

The yellow light masses varied in size, the largest being nearly half a meter in diameter, and the smallest about the size of a watermelon. The outlines of Soul Beasts could be seen.

Clearly, these light masses had been scaled down proportionally, otherwise, the size of some Soul Beasts would definitely not be this small.

"Pick whatever you like. Seeing how we're so compatible, I'll make the decision. No matter which one you choose, I'll give it to you for free."

"If you don't understand, I can help you. I guarantee I'll help you pick the best and most suitable one," the Hall Master said generously.

"Thank you for your kindness, Uncle, but I still have some money and can buy it myself," Yun Ze declined the Hall Master's offer.

The Hall Master looked deeply at Yun Ze. It seemed this child's background was not simple.

Hundred-year Soul Rings were not cheap, starting at a million Federal Currency, and good quality ones could even approach ten million. Ordinary people couldn't afford them.

The fact that this child said he could afford it meant he had at least a million Federal Currency on him.
