Chapter 2: The Awakening
Mia wakes up in an unfamiliar room, feeling disoriented and sore. She sees a man standing in the doorway - the same man she met in the woods the night before. He's Kaian, the Alpha King of the Northern Pack, and he claims that Mia is his mate.
Mia is confused and scared, but Kaian explains that she's been marked by fate to be his. "What do you want from me?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.

But from what? Mia wonders. From whom?
