The memories that flashed through his head weren't human—they belonged to a creature from another world.
They looked exactly like humans but possessed abilities far beyond any earthly being. The planet was an exoplanet, located outside the Milky Way galaxy. Its name was Sapturn.
The Sapturnians were an advanced species. Their technology surpassed human understanding, and they had their own beliefs and traditions. But what truly set them apart was their superhuman abilities. When a Sapturnian reached a certain age, they would begin to sense a dark, sinister, and hungry presence growing inside them. This presence—an ancient force—had to be mastered. If they could control it, a ceremonial induction was held to welcome them into full membership of the society. But if they failed… they were imprisoned, left to rot for the rest of their lives.
The Sapturnian Empire was strict, ruled only by a King or Queen. No one was allowed to question their decisions. Any attempt to influence the monarch's judgment resulted in public execution.
Back on Earth...
Tony sat frozen by the door of his room, too afraid to move. A few minutes later, his uncle entered the house, looking exhausted. His eyes were sunken, dark circles underneath them, and his body drenched in sweat. Slowly, he climbed the stairs and approached Tony's room. He knocked gently.
"Tony, are you in there?" he called out. No answer.
He knocked again. Still silence.
He tried the handle—it was locked. Fear flooded him. Tony never locked his door unless he wasn't home. Panic took hold.
What if something happened to him?
What if he's not breathing?
What if he can't move?
Now desperate, he began banging on the door.
Tony slowly opened it, still in shock over what he had done.
His uncle's face changed from fear to anger.
"What happened? Why didn't you answer me?!" he shouted.
Tony stood frozen, unable to respond.
His uncle's anger quickly turned to worry.
"Is everything alright, Tony?" he asked, his voice softer now.
Tony finally spoke, his voice trembling:
"Am I… human?"
The question stunned his uncle. He knew the truth—Tony wasn't human—but he had promised not to reveal it outright. Instead, he decided to let Tony discover it on his own.
Without a word, he walked into his own room, retrieved an old bag, and handed it to Tony.
"Find out for yourself. These are your father's research documents. He told me to give them to you when the time was right."
Tony took the bag, staring at it with curiosity. But it was late, and though he wanted to dive into the documents, he decided to sleep first.
Earlier that day...
A young boy had discovered the lifeless bodies of the two bullies who had attacked Tony. Terrified, he ran to tell his parents. At first, they didn't believe him—until they saw it themselves.
The scene was gruesome. The bodies were twisted in unnatural ways. Shocked and horrified, the parents immediately contacted the police.
Detective Gray and his partner Rose—renowned investigators known for solving the unsolvable—were assigned to the case. As they examined the bodies, even they were shaken.
A woman suddenly ran onto the scene, screaming the name of her son—Jack. When she saw him lying lifeless, she collapsed in agony, weeping uncontrollably.
"No... This can't be happening! Jack, get up! Please!" she cried as officers gently pulled her away.
Detective Gray clenched his fists. "I'm going to get to the bottom of this—and the person responsible will pay."
The Next Day...
Tony woke up, went through his morning routine, and headed to school. On the way, he passed by the location of the earlier incident. Police officers were still examining the scene, but the bodies were gone.
With every step he took, the presence inside him whispered.
"Yes, go look. See what you've done..." it laughed.
Fear gripped him. He turned and walked away quickly before the cops noticed him.
At school, Tony arrived sweaty and pale, his hands shaking. He placed his bag under his desk and laid his head down. The voice returned.
"Let's kill them all..." it repeated, over and over.
Suddenly, someone tapped his shoulder.
In a panic, Tony struck the hand with full force—thinking it was the presence again. But when he looked up, it was his teacher.
The teacher was furious, but he saw something in Tony's eyes—fear, confusion, something deeply wrong.
"Never do that again, you got that?" he snapped.
"Yes, sir," Tony whispered.
Later that day, a message was sent out by the school principal about the incident involving the two bullies who had harassed Cara. The bullies were too scared to reveal who attacked them, so their parents escalated the issue.
Tony tried to act calm. He knew he was on thin ice.
Cara entered the class looking pale and exhausted. She hadn't slept since witnessing what Tony did. Tony wanted to apologize but didn't know how. She wouldn't even look at him.
He waited patiently for the right moment.
Finally, after school, he saw her walking alone and approached her.
"I'm so sorry about the other day," he said, his head bowed. "I don't know what happened to me… I wasn't in control. I didn't mean to scare you. Please… can you forgive me?"
Cara hesitated, then nodded.
"I forgive you. Maybe I can help you control that part of yourself—but only if you promise not to hurt anyone again."
"I promise," Tony said softly, lifting his head to meet her gaze.
Meanwhile…
Detective Gray reviewed the lab results from the crime scene. A sample of Tony Maxson's blood had been found.
He smiled.
"Now we're getting somewhere."
Somewhere in New Ireland...
Inside a secret lab, a group of elite soldiers stood in formation.
The head scientist handed a tablet to the team leader. On the screen was a picture of Tony Maxson.
"I want him alive—by the end of this week."
