Classes haven't officially started Yet buuut our glorious academic board has decided that today was Icebreaker day. Logically speaking its a good idea. When you got all these people from different backgrounds and even countries coming together in one place, you want to get them all familiarized with each other. Personally though i think its Horseshit. yeah sure i like being with people. really enjoy it. BUT I DO NOT LIKE BEING FORCED TO DO SO.
I have the belief that friends should happen naturally. and socialising should just be a ntural healthy process born through the sharing of words and information. But if you like my ass in a room with the only way for me to get out being to make 'friends' with the other dude, I'd say fuck off and not do it out of spite. I got principles. I'm not gonna pretend to be someone's friend. I still think its better to have no friends than to have fake ones. At least with acquaintances you know where you stand. you're just there to get the job done. and maybe over time you could become close friends.
There were some interesting characters. Ranging from a very honest narcissist who described herself as gods gift to this world, ( I truly hope she's just joking around and doesn't actually think that way) To self proclaimed future president of the Gorondel Boardgame Association who had to be stopped from going on a tangent on the history and cultural significance of Tabletop games, Neither of which I remember the name of cause i could care less.
Though i did realise something that may become a problem. Most of the guys here are highborn. i mean I knew that I was gonna be in the minority group of people who actually earned there way here, but even the scholarship kids seem to have rich parents. Yeaaaaah. might be a problem. Anyway that's it from me. See ya when I'm struggling through classes.
