Chapter 5 - Fists of Vengeance Chapter 5: Blades in the Smoke The Broken Path Begins – Part 5

Midnight.Rain-slicked rooftops.An assassin in black.

Arthur sprinted across the city's industrial sector, heart pounding with each silent step. Beneath him, Kael's influence crept like poison—gangs, mercenaries, traffickers. And somewhere among them was Jin… his brother in arms.

But tonight wasn't about rescuing anyone.

Tonight was a message.

Arthur had tracked the name "Razor Cell"—a new faction rumored to be Kael's elite unit. Trained killers. Blade masters. Ghosts.

And tonight, they would bleed.

THE IRON YARD – 12:43 AM

Crates of weapons. Camouflaged trucks. A skyline choked in smoke.

Arthur dropped silently onto a metal beam, eyes scanning the scene below. Eight men. Armed. Alert.

Then he heard it—the hiss of a sword being drawn.

He ducked. Just in time.

A steel katana sliced the air where his head had been.

His attacker landed behind him—a tall woman in obsidian armor, eyes cold as ice.

"You are not welcome here," she whispered.

Arthur rose, fists tightening. "Then let me kick down the door."

FIGHT SEQUENCE – ARTHUR VS BLADE SISTER

She struck first—fast, deadly, silent. Her blade danced like lightning. Arthur dodged, but she clipped his side, slicing through his jacket.

He countered with elbows, knees, palm strikes. She evaded most of them, until he drove a low kick into her knee, sending her staggering.

She laughed.

"You're better than the last three."

"Where are they now?" Arthur growled.

"Dead."

Arthur launched forward. This time, he used his environment—chains, pipes, even a fire extinguisher—to trap her movement. With a fierce elbow to the jaw and a spinning backfist, he dropped her.

She hit the ground. Coughed. Then smiled.

"You're too late."

Arthur froze.

"What?"

She pulled a small detonator from her belt and pressed it.

BOOM.

The warehouse across the street erupted in flames.

THE LOSS

Arthur stared in horror. That warehouse… Kai had said it was storing medical supplies for the fighters they saved last night.

Gone. Ashes.

He turned back—but the assassin was gone.

Just a whisper remained:"Razor Cell sees you now."

BACK AT THE DOJO – 2:09 AM

Kai stitched up Arthur's side, frustration all over his face.

"This isn't revenge anymore, is it?"

Arthur didn't answer.

Kai kept talking. "Kael's building something bigger. Razor Cell's just the beginning. You need help, Arthur."

Arthur stood. "I don't trust help."

"But help is coming."

From the shadows, a new figure stepped into the room.

Rayden.A black coat. A cold stare. A sword glowing faintly on his back.

"I heard you're looking for Kael," Rayden said.

Arthur's eyes narrowed. "Who sent you?"

Rayden tilted his head. "Let's just say… we both lost someone."

FINAL SCENE – KAEL'S CHAMBER

Kael stood over a digital map. Points of light blinked across the city—each one a plan, a trap, a war waiting to ignite.

Lucien—defeated. Blade Sister—escaped but wounded.

He turned to his advisors.

"It's time to release him," Kael said.

A steel door creaked open behind him.

Chains rattled.

Out stepped a mountain of muscle and fury—"The Warden."A former underground champion, undefeated. Controlled by Kael through an experimental drug.

"Find Arthur," Kael whispered.

"Break him."
