Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: If It Really Doesn’t Work, Just Report It

Raiden Mei.

When Takumi and the others saw this name, their expressions turned strange. Bronya blinked in confusion. Mei-neesan? No wait, this must be Mei from another world~. And what did she mean by "golden finger" (cheat power)? Something about this Mei felt... off.

Takumi: [Ah, it's the rice cooker wife.] [So you've become a Herrscher?] [By the way, this Bronya isn't the Bronya you know—she's from a different world.] [Not the same Bronya as yours.] [Bronya has many interdimensional counterparts. There's even one in that railgun world next door.]

Takumi briefly explained things to Raiden Mei.

Mei frowned as she read Takumi's messages. Not the Bronya she knew?

Bronya: [I'm indeed not the Bronya from your world.] [I'm an adult already.] [And the Mei I know is a mature big sister.]

Bronya made it clear that she had no connection with this version of Mei. The Mei she knew was an older sister-type, not this shy version.

Reading the group messages, Mei was stunned. She scanned the group members—wait, was that Teacher Himeko in here too?

The others she didn't recognize, but... were there other versions of herself in different worlds? Or perhaps versions from alternate timelines?

Curious, Mei typed into the group chat: [Um... Teacher Himeko?]

Himeko: [I'm not the same either!] [The Himeko in your world is a great teacher.] [Check the group files, Miss Mei.] [There's background info on Honkai Impact 3rd. You'll understand after reading it.]

Judging by how uncertain this Mei was, it seemed like many events hadn't happened yet. Perhaps even Himeko hadn't died in her world?

A glimmer passed through Himeko's eyes as she thought about it.

Mei hesitated for a moment, then began reading the group files.

While Mei was reading, Chika Fujiwara popped up again.

Chika Fujiwara: [Good news, good news! New functions have been added to the group!] [Screenshot attached.]

She revealed what she'd discovered. A new task system had appeared. There was also a new intelligent group assistant.

Everyone was curious.

But when they tapped into the task tab, they were surprised to learn that it wasn't the group issuing tasks—it was members submitting their own.

Then, the group would offer free transportation across worlds. Well, not entirely free—a small fee (in points) would be charged.

Basically, the system now functioned like a brokerage platform.

Takumi examined the new interface and noticed that the lowest fee started at 1,000 points.

Interesting. If he wanted to go to another world, he could just have someone submit a task and get paid for helping. A way to earn points.

Chika Fujiwara: [OMG, this is totally a bug.] [They're still selling those World Travel Talismans?] [Just post a mission and go—easy.]

She ranted in the chat. After reviewing the functions, she felt like this was definitely broken. Who'd buy Travel Talismans now?

Want to go somewhere? Just work together with someone. So what if the group took a cut? It's fine.

Takumi agreed— That did seem like an exploit. With a bit of teamwork, the members could cut travel costs significantly.

Takumi: [Maybe it's tied to some upcoming function?] [If missions can be submitted from outside worlds, maybe we can take quests from them too.]

Who knows, really? But for now, it was great news.

Everyone could save on travel points.

Zhongli: [Already asked.] [It seems connected to a future feature.] [Other functionalities in the group haven't been released yet.] [Screenshot attached.]

Zhongli's image showed a Q&A confirming it wasn't a bug—just a system meant for future expansion.

Takumi's curiosity piqued. What kind of features would come next?

This chat group was like a gacha game—it updated randomly. Now there were twelve members, and more features were gradually rolling out.

But the updates didn't follow a clear schedule. Sometimes it just added things without warning. At ten members, they got new items. At twelve, more tools. He'd assumed the next update would be at fifteen members, but no—it came sooner than expected.

Definitely an eye-opener.

Totally unpredictable.

Takumi glanced at it for a bit, then lost interest. Unless someone submitted a task, he wasn't going anywhere.

Right now, nobody had the spare points to post missions. Takumi had the most, but everyone else was saving theirs or spending them on power-ups.

So… no real action yet.

Despite all the new tools, nobody could use them.

Takumi turned his attention back to Mei. She was still browsing the lore documents.

The more she read, the more silent she became. Especially once she compared the current timeline.

Her heart grew heavier. Because the Valkyrie exam was approaching. Which meant... Sirin's awakening wasn't far off.

Seeing Himeko-sensei's final farewell scene hit her hard.

And Takumi felt it too. Just thinking about it made his chest ache.

Damn you, miHoYo. You keep stabbing us.

RLW refund please!

Once Mei saw the "Queen's Arrival" arc, she stopped reading.

She immediately asked in the group:

Raiden Mei: [/(ㄒoㄒ)/~~] [What should I do?] [The Valkyrie exams are right around the corner.]

Takumi smiled.

Takumi: [Don't panic when things go wrong~!] [Just call up Dull Goose and report it.] [Trust me, Dull Goose is invincible.] [Believe in the Saints!!]

Why panic? Summon Dull Goose already.

Chika Fujiwara: [Are you sure this will work?] [Otto won't just let her show up so easily.]

Takumi: [It's fine. Just flip the table.] [@Raiden Mei, go tell the short guy that you're a reincarnator, that Kiana is about to become the Herrscher of the Void, and that Himeko is going to die. Then tell him your real niece is Dull Goose or something.]

Takumi was clearly just giving Mei the worst suggestions.

Everyone in the group was speechless.

A reincarnator? Really? You're a transmigrator yourself! You think he'll believe that?

Raiden Mei: [Please don't joke around!] [That's clearly not going to work!]

So unreliable. Could this group member really be trusted?
