Gu Ming began his examination, his hands moving expertly over Viviana's body. He checked her pulse, her breathing, her temperature. Everything seemed normal, apart from her exhaustion and slight dehydration.
"What do you think, doctor?" Elizabeth asked, her voice trembling with worry.
Gu Ming sighed, his brow furrowed in thought.
"Your daughter is exhausted, Mrs. Rosenzweig. She's likely been pushing herself too hard, not eating or sleeping enough. I recommend complete bed rest for at least a week, with plenty of fluids and nutritious meals."
He glanced at Viviana, his gaze lingering on her pale face.
"And perhaps, when she's feeling better, we should discuss her... unusual activities. The smell, for instance. It's quite unlike anything I've encountered before."
Hina listened to the doctor's words, her mind racing. She couldn't believe it Viviana was the Rosenzweig heiress, not her. Even though she found out four days ago it still pissed her off! But it's good no one knows yet.
Richard nodded solemnly, his arm wrapping protectively around Elizabeth's shoulders.
"We'll make sure she gets all the rest and care she needs," he said firmly.
He looked down at Viviana, his heart aching at the sight of her lying so still and pale.
"And don't worry, doctor. We'll keep a close eye on her... unusual activities, as you put it. We want to make sure she's safe and healthy."
Hina watched the exchange, her jaw clenched tightly. She couldn't stand the way her parents doted on Viviana, the way they seemed to forget she even existed.
As the doctor packed up his things and prepared to leave, Hina stepped forward, a fake smile plastered on her face.
"Thank you, doctor. We appreciate your help," she said, her voice dripping with false sincerity.
"Of Lady Hina," Gu Ming said and walked out. Kai just finished shooting his film when he saw his sister laying there he became worried. Hina watched this for the past 17 years when she got sick Kai always got servant to take care of her both shared the same birthday but no matter what Kai has always been the coldest to her. Jealousy flowed in her heart. Viviana only returned four days ago and mom and dad allow her to do as she pleases!
Elizabeth's eyes widened at Kai's suggestion, a thoughtful expression crossing her face.
"That's a good idea, sweetheart. Viviana will need to enroll in a school soon, and we want to make sure she gets the best education possible."
She glanced down at her daughter, a hint of concern in her eyes.
"What do you think, Richard? Should we start looking into the top schools in the city?"
Richard nodded, his arm tightening around Elizabeth's shoulders.
"I agree. We should consider all the options, including the most prestigious institutions. After all, Viviana deserves the best."
Hina's heart raced with excitement as she listened to her parents discuss Viviana's future. She knew exactly what school they should send her to the most rigorous, demanding school in the city, with a reputation for being incredibly difficult to get into and even harder to succeed in.
"Mom, dad, brother, but sister has really bad grades and I…I heard she did not go to sophomore or junior year," Hina said. She knows Richard and Elizabeth both love their kids to be educated they will be angry about this but both just looked at Viviana sleeping face.
"So what if she has bad grades? If our daughter wants to go to school she can go! If not mommy will just give her money!" Elizabeth said.
"Yea daddy will give her companies to play with," Richard said. Hina was speechless from since she was young she always had to make sure to have high standards in education so she is shocked about this.
Kai raised an eyebrow at his parents' indulgent attitude, a smirk tugging at his lips.
"You two are really going to pamper her, huh?" he teased.
He glanced at Viviana's sleeping form, a fond expression softening his features.
"I don't blame you. She's earned it after everything she's been through."
Hina, meanwhile, could barely contain her frustration. She wanted to scream, to remind them of all the sacrifices she had made, all the hard work she had put in to maintain her perfect grades and flawless reputation.
But she knew she couldn't say anything. She had to keep up the facade of the devoted sister, the model citizen. So she forced a smile, nodding along with the conversations.
"That's right," she said, her voice saccharine sweet.
"Viviana deserves the world, and I'm sure she'll make the most of every opportunity we give her."
But inside, her mind was racing, plotting ways to sabotage Viviana's education, to expose her weaknesses and bring her down a peg.
"But we did talk to her adoptive parents they said she did not good in school and did not go to two school for two years," Elizabeth said but she waved her hand off.
"But who cares our daughter will be fine!" Richard said with huffed. Hina frowned this unbelievable! Even though they know her grades they still want to pamper and also give her a way in school! If she got a bad grade it would be lecture.
As the family continued to discuss Viviana's future, the girl in question stirred, her eyelids fluttering open. She blinked, her golden eyes adjusting to the light, and looked up at her family gathered around her.
"Hey," she said softly, her voice hoarse from sleep.
Elizabeth's face lit up at the sight of her daughter awake, and she leaned down to press a gentle kiss to Viviana's forehead.
"Sweetheart, how are you feeling?" she asked, her hand brushing back Viviana's hair.
Richard smiled warmly, his hand squeezing Elizabeth's shoulder.
"Just rest, princess. We'll take care of everything."
Kai grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
"Welcome back, sleepyhead. You missed quite the family meeting."
Viviana just went back to sleep.
Viviana's eyelids drooped, exhaustion still weighing heavily on her. She managed a small smile at her family's concerned faces before her eyes slipped closed once more, her breathing evening out as she drifted back into a deep sleep.
Hina watched, her jaw clenched tightly. Even in sleep, Viviana commanded the attention of the room, her parents hovering over her like she was a precious treasure. It was infuriating. Hina had worked so hard to earn their affection, to be the perfect daughter, and yet here was Viviana, coasting by on looks and charm, getting everything handed to her without even trying.
As the family quietly exited the room, leaving Viviana to sleep, Hina lingered behind. She stood over the sleeping girl, her eyes narrowed, a twisted smile playing at the corners of her mouth. Viviana might have won this round, but the game was far from over. Hina would make sure of that.
