Chapter 9 - Chapter 9:Buggy The Clown (2/2)

Looking at the prepared Buggy Bombs, Buggy said to his subordinates, "Let's test the power of the Buggy Bomb first."

Pirate henchman: "Okay, Captain Buggy."

Then the pirate directly aimed at the town below and fired a shot.

On the other side, Shin'ya and Zoro, who had just docked their ship and were standing at the port, suddenly felt an attack coming towards them.

Shin'ya's perception instantly sensed the situation of the Buggy Pirates. Seeing the cannon aimed at them and the rapidly approaching cannonball, he knew exactly what was happening.

Shin'ya directly grabbed Zoro, and with a Shunshin, appeared on the roof of the Buggy Pirates' main base. He didn't make a sound, planning to observe the situation first.

Nami's eyes widened in horror as she watched a row of houses being destroyed by Buggy's cannon. They instantly turned into rubble as if they were made of paper. This terrifying power made her gasp, and she secretly cursed her misfortune.

Her gaze slowly shifted to the giant Buggy Cannon, and the scene of her having to use this cannon to attack Luffy kept replaying in her mind. Thinking of this, her heart was filled with regret and unease.

Just then, Buggy's voice suddenly rang in her ear: "The power has been tested, now it's your turn to act." His words revealed a hint of coldness and ruthlessness.

Nami looked up at Buggy's ferocious face, feeling even more terrified. She hesitated for a moment, then mustered her courage: "Captain Buggy, I… I think it's better not to do this."

Buggy was clearly somewhat surprised by Nami's reaction. He frowned, looking impatient: "What? Are you scared? Don't forget, you're our new crewmate, this is your mission!"

Nami quickly shook her head and explained: "No, Captain Buggy, I just think doing this is too cruel. Luffy, he… he's actually a very simple person, I can't bring myself to…"

"That's not up to you. Since this is your initiation, if you don't kill him, how can I trust you?"

Buggy turned to look at the other subordinates and ordered: "You guys put that kid in the position where the last one was fired from, then bring another cannonball. Let our new crewmate personally deal with her former captain."

"Yes!" The other subordinates responded in unison and quickly took action.

Nami watched them carry Luffy to the muzzle, her heart growing more anxious. She knew that if she didn't act soon, Luffy might really die here.

However, when she saw the fuse, she couldn't bring herself to light it. Her hand trembled slightly, as if the fuse was a venomous snake that would poison her if she touched it.

The surrounding subordinates started to jeer, shouting "Fire!" "Fire!", their voices deafening. Nami felt her heart almost stop, and a thin layer of sweat broke out on her forehead.

In this tense moment, Nami finally hesitated and spoke: "Captain Buggy, why don't we just forget it…"

Buggy: "Nami, don't disappoint us."

Just then, Luffy suddenly spoke: "Nami, you still haven't understood! It's precisely because you lack that understanding that you wanted to deal with a pirate, which led to the current situation."

Nami asked back with a puzzled look: "What is understanding? Does it mean pirates can arbitrarily kill or plunder others? Is that what you call understanding?"

Luffy quickly explained: "No, the understanding I'm talking about isn't the courage to attack others, but the determination to risk your own life."

Just when I thought Nami would be moved by Luffy's words, something unexpected happened. The moment Nami was stunned by Luffy's words, a pirate henchman seized the opportunity, swiftly snatched the torch like lightning, and unhesitatingly lit the cannonball's fuse.

Watching the fuse burn, Luffy, who had just been talking about the understanding of risking one's life, instantly changed his expression and cried out in panic: "Put out the fire! The fuse is lit, it'll be too late if you don't put it out!"

However, Nami showed astonishing reaction speed in the face of this sudden crisis. She unhesitatingly pulled out a two-meter-long wooden stick from her chest, swung it fiercely like a gust of wind, and with a dull thud, the pirate who snatched the torch fell to the ground, knocked unconscious by Nami's blow.

"Oh no, this is bad! I couldn't help but attack, what should I do now?" Nami said nervously, a thin layer of sweat breaking out on her forehead.

Buggy then shouted, "Nami, what are you doing? Are you trying to save your captain?"

Nami said to Buggy, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."

Then she said to Luffy, "Because I don't want to be an accomplice to cruel pirates. Everything I had was destroyed by pirates, how could I ever associate with them?"

Buggy was furious: "Do you think this is a game? You can join if you want, and leave if you don't? Don't dream! There's a limit to fooling people, you damn brat! Men, kill them both!"

All the pirates: "Yes!"

The pirates who had been watching, upon hearing Buggy's command, all rushed towards Nami with their swords drawn.

Suddenly, Luffy, who was tied up in the wooden cage, began to scream in terror: "The cannonball is going to fire! Put out the fire, ah~~ Help me~"

Nami looked at the cannonball about to fire, then at the pirates attacking her. She decisively turned back and rushed straight to the cannon. Once near the cannon, Nami firmly gripped the cannon's fuse with her hand.

Luffy looked at Nami's injured palm and shouted, "Watch out behind you! A pirate is coming to slash you, get out of the way!"

Just as the sword was about to strike Nami, Shin'ya's voice came from the rooftop above Buggy's head.

"Wood Release: Wood Golem Wall!" With a series of merging wood sounds, an oval wooden wall blocked the weapons attacking Nami.

Zoro directly jumped to the side of the cage trapping Luffy, cut the wooden cage with a few slashes, and rescued Luffy. Then he looked at the Buggy Pirates and said, "So many people bullying one girl, you guys are really disgraceful."

Shin'ya also jumped down. Looking at Nami's burned hand, he directly took her hand, "I have some healing abilities, let me help you recover."

Shin'ya's palm suddenly glowed with green chakra energy. He covered Nami's hand with the energy, and in just a few breaths, Nami's hand was restored to its original state.

Nami said, "Thank you."

Buggy's eyes widened, staring intently at Zoro, a hint of suspicion on his face. He asked, "Roronoa Zoro, are you here to kill me for the bounty?"

Zoro was expressionless, arms crossed, and replied coldly, "No, I'm no longer a bounty hunter. I'm a pirate now. That idiot you planned to blast with a cannonball is my captain."

Buggy was stunned for a moment upon hearing this, then burst into maniacal laughter: "Oh~ So that's how it is. But that doesn't lessen my interest in you. If I kill you, I'll be famous throughout the four seas, hahahaha."

His laughter echoed across the sea, causing the surrounding pirate henchmen to join in the clamor, "Kill him, kill him!"

Just then, a figure suddenly appeared beside Zoro; it was Shin'ya. Dressed in red battle armor, he was valiant and imposing, his sharp eyes fixed on Buggy as he said in a deep voice, "Want to fight? People will die, you know."

(A/N:Ooh, Incase I didn't say it earlier, Shin'ya appearance is the same as Hashirsma's, I didn't use Hashirsma's name.... Cos I didn't want to)

Buggy's gaze was drawn to Shin'ya. He sized him up and down, then asked suspiciously, "Who are you? I've never seen you among the famous ones."

Shin'ya's lips curled into a faint smile as he introduced himself, "Me? I'm Shin'ya Kurozawa, and I'm a handsome guy."

Buggy clearly had no impression of that name. A scornful smile appeared on his lips, and he snorted, "Never heard of you? Haha, how ridiculous! But no matter who you are, just die! All executives, attack! Kill them!"

Facing the surging enemies, Shin'ya remained remarkably calm. He turned to Luffy, a hint of trust in his eyes, and said, "The captain of the Buggy Pirates is yours, Luffy. Do you have confidence?"

Luffy grinned, showing his signature sunny smile, and loudly replied, "Of course, no problem! I'll fight the captain! Watch me beat him into a pulp!"

At this moment, Zoro also stepped forward, his gaze falling on a pirate henchman holding two swords. He said in a deep voice, "I'll take the one with two swords. I want to see what he's made of."

Shin'ya nodded, his gaze sweeping across the battlefield, finally landing on a pirate sitting on a lion. He said, "I'll take the one on the lion. As for Nami, you can do whatever you want, just be careful not to get hurt."
