[Power Stones please! Raaahhh!]

"Hey, have you heard?"
"What? What?"
"Two days ago, several of our members suddenly disappeared without any trace. It's like they vanished from the face of the earth."
"Isn't that pretty normal in our line of job? If the Bosses don't like how we do things, they dispose of us."
"No. No. This one is different. The bosses were the ones looking for these missing members, which means whoever is doing this, is not part of the Yakuza."
"Then, could it be an assassin?"
"That's what I was thinking at first but after relocating and offering millions of yen in the Underworld and not only no one stepped forward to take it, but the said assassin also kept finding our bases, as if someone from our inside is leaking intel."
"Woah. You know, for a new recruit, you're surprisingly knowledgeable about the current affairs of the Yakuza."
"I know right."
Stab!
"Y-You!" The man's eyes widened in suprise as he touched his chest and saw a knife embedded into his flesh.
The 'fellow' Yakuza member in front of him gave a grin as his face defied logic, melting like ice under heat.
At the same time, he went over and touched the man's head, extracting the memories he needed.
"Thank you for the information." With that being said, the face finally revealed its true appearance, it was Kenshin.
Watching the man fall on his chair, Kenshin smirked and quietly stored the man's body in his inventory.
One of the useful functions of it. As long as it's not alive, it can be taken inside.
This is the case on how he can remove all of his traces during his expedition against the Yakuzas.
Yes, he was actually telling the truth earlier.
"Finally found one of their lieutenants." Kenshin sighed in relief.
It's been two days and he can't get past the big brothers.
Lieutenants are simply hard to find. Their routine consists of going to brothels, warehouses, businesses and even beaches.
These guys are everywhere and yet so hard to find. The places they frequent to are too random.
'Thank god this guy is friends with one of the lieutenants.' Now, one might think why it makes it so hard for him to find them when he was searching for Sakamoto two days ago, right?
Well, the guy turned out to be tougher than he thought.
Not only was he unable to extract any information but the guy has trained his mind to be almost immune to low-level memory views or psychic skills.
So not only I wasn't able to get any information from him but was also forced to fight him.
***
Fwooosh!
Dodging the flying knife, Kenshin retaliated by grabbing it and redirecting its direction back to the sender.
As if to add to his coolness, Sakamoto spun two handguns in his index fingers before pointing both at the flying knife and opened fire.
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
Truly deserving his title as the world's greatest assassin. With just three bullets, the knife is now back at him with an even greater speed.
'How is that even possible!?' Kenshin's mouth twitched several times as he tilted his head to evade it.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
True to his job as an assassin, Sakamoto wasted no breath and changed his target from the knife to Kenshin, wasting all of his bullets accurately at Kenshin's forehead.
Too bad for him, if Kenshin were a normal human, he would've been dead already but he's not.
With his advanced perception skill, Kenshin were able to anticipate the direction of each bullet and combined with his fast reflexes, dodged it with pure skill like the main character from the Matrix.
"You…who are you?" Thankfully, he was wearing a mask, so the hitman was unable to identify him.
"I need to know about the Yakuzas. You're working for them, aren't you?"
"…Not for now."
"Huh? What?" Kenshin's black mask reflected his current emotions. Surprised.
"Yes. I'm on a vacation, so I'm not working for them currently. Though that doesn't mean I'll give you the information you want. It's against our protocols." Taking out a cigar from his pocket, Sakamoto lit it up before taking a short puff.
"You can go now. If we fight, I doubt any of us will win. And even if we do, we'll lose something great in return." Hearing his words made Kenshin stop.
To be honest, he doesn't intend to truly kill the guy or something. His face felt familiar and Kenshin wanted to recall where he saw him.
Everyone knows that as long as someone looks cool and the character is white-haired, then that character is special or deeply related to an anime.
Then there's also the fact that when he silently casted a low-level memory read spell earlier, he didn't get any out of the man, instead, it just alerted him of his presence.
Just from that alone gives Kenshin a main character vibes all over the place.
Back in the world of Fantazio, only High-level Knights and Mages are able to resist low level memory spell, which can only mean two things.
Either Sakamoto has trained his mind to the point that it gave him mind defenses or he's someone who knows magic.
Kenshin assumes it's the former. The latter is possible but as a trained Hitman, the chances of training his mind is very high.
After a few more attempts of convincing Sakamoto yet failing, he could only sigh in defeat and leave.
Thankfully though, the guy was kind enough not to inform the Yakuzas that someone like Kenshin was looking for them, with him using the same vacation reasoning.

Exiting the bar, it's already late at night and it's time for me to go home.
While walking towards the nearby bus stop, I checked my stats.
[Name: Alistair Abara, Kuroki Kenshin
Age: 12,690, 15
Class: Hero
Titles: Evil Slayer
Strength: 20
Magic: 29
Agility: 21
Durability: 22
Constitution: 20
Mind: 20 ]
My stats are high enough for me to finally use some of my available accessories in the inventory.
Such as my Ring of Fortitude and Ring of Obscurity.
Basically, the former increases my pain resistance by 30% while the latter reduces my presence by a whopping 50% when crouching, though it passively consumes mana when it activates but it's better than nothing.
Then there's also my pair of Earrings. Each having their respective effects.
My left earring gives me a slight boost in speed when running while the other one reduces the cost of my spells by 2%.
They're weak effects I know but it's the only thing I can do for now. At least until I recover my peak strength.
Unfortunately for me, on the outside, I look like someone that came out of a gangster prison. Two rings and two earrings, my appearance makes people around me take a second look before scurrying off.
'Gotta find a way to hide my equipment.' Kenshin muttered under his breath before finally boarding the bus just after arriving at the bus stop.
After taking his seat, Kenshin sighed and decided to close his eyes to take a short rest.

[??? PoV]
There are some rare times when she would prefer to take a human transportation they call bus.
Such as tonight.
She's on her way to the train station to head back to Kyoto. After using invisibility and disguising herself as a normal-looking male, she boarded the bus that is enroute to the train station.
Although she knew that she would definitely be reprimanded by her parents for escaping the Yokai guards that were assigned to her.
She was supposed to be discussing her marriage proposal with the Yokai noble assigned in Shinjuku however after hours of long boring talk and the said noble being nothing but a pampered and arrogant yokai, she grew bored and decided to leave by herself.
'I'll explain to my parents tomorrow. I don't like that guy. He's too spoiled and he kept staring at my body earlier.' She shivered just by recalling her encounter with that man.
She made a decision in her mind to never ever come back to this place forever. She would rather stay in Kyoto and continue her studies and training there as the future leader of the Yokai Faction in Kyoto.
The bus came to a bus stop and a few humans went inside, with one of them sitting beside her.
She couldn't help but give the man a glance and immediately, she was flabbergasted.
'I didn't know humans could be so handsome.' For some reason, she compared the human in front of her and then the Yokai Noble that she met earlier.
'This human is definitely superior.' She smirked.
Her eyes unknowingly scanned the human by her side, taking notes of his young appearance that is near her age and the weird aura emanating from him.
She then glanced at the pair of earrings on his ears and the rings on his fingers.
Just by looking at them, she could already tell they were not normal.
'Does this human even know that his accessories possess weird energies?' She contemplated whether to tell him about it or not.
Perhaps it is the combined efforts of her moral compassion and desire to talk to the man in front of her that made her hand inched towards the sleeping man's shoulder.

Kenshin doesn't know how much time has passed but when he felt someone nudging his shoulders, he slowly opened his eyes and looked to his side.
Much to his surprise, there was a blonde-haired beauty sitting beside him. Wearing a golden kimono that looks out of place in modern Japan. And finally, what truly caught his attention were the pair of fluffy ears.
'Was my exhaustion really bad that made me overlook this goddess cosplayer!?' As if to make sure, Kenshin rubbed his eyes for a few seconds and resumed looking at her.
"…To what do I owe the pleasure of being able to sit beside you, miss?"
The moment I finished my words, her eyes widened in surprise. As if I just said something bad.
"You….can see I'm a girl?"
"Am I not supposed to?" Kenshin furrowed his eyebrows and asked.
"Of course…Wait. That's not why I woke you up."
"So what is it then?"
"Those things." She pointed at the earrings and rings on Kenshin's body.
"I think whoever gave you those are someone from the supernatural world. They reek of magic and energy." Her words quickly made Kenshin's sleepiness disappear.
"And how are you supposed to know about that?"
"Because I'm a Yokai. My name is Yasaka, it's nice to meet you, human."
