Dan channels his lightning all over his body and charges at Icar hitting and kicking him all over his body
"As if" Dan said
"Let's go, Dan!" the crowd roared
Dan got distracted by their support he doesn't notice Icar's whip at him from behind
"Got ya!"
Blood splatters fly into the air
"Woah what an attack" the announcer said
Dan skidded back, he wipes off blood dripping from his left cheek
Icar laughs "I can't believe you were able to look back in time and dodge that attack going straight at your eye"
Dan remains silent, he carefully looks at Icar while plotting in his mind the next moves he will take
"I thought you were so confident before that you won't lose, why are you looking so serious like that now.... Is that the sign if fear?" Icar says with a wicked grin
Dan remains silent once more, he looks at Icar but the eyes of calculation turn into eyes of conviction.
Icar got irritated by his silent, he brings out a chip whip on each of his palms,he releases a frenzy of vicious strikes from his whips right at Dan.
Dan is able to dodge some but he isn't fast enough to dodge them all. The attacks give him thin cuts on his arms, and legs, the attack slices through his clothes. Dan has multiple cuts on his body
Dan thinks to himself "I'm in a very dangerous position here... I could really lose here, just training three days doesn't make me strong enough to take him down easily since he has been training with his power all his life"
Icar splits the whips in his palms into two each and merges them together to make it into one big powerful whip.
He strikes at Dan immediately but Dan is able to maneuver the attack and escape from danger
At the Knight Administrator's Office,up in the arena a big window separates the coordinators from the action happening in the arena down below
Vixen rests her hand on the table while looking disappointed at Dan "Sir things aren't looking good for him"
"I can't believe i will see someone from the great lightning nation lose" DG adds
Greg leans forward on his chair, stares straight at Dan and Icar "Is that how you see it?"
Vixen blinked in confusion "What do you mean, the whip guy has him covered and he doesn't look comfortable with his lightning yet"
"True, but do you know what makes that nation special?" Greg says
DG raises his right eyebrow "What?"
Greg smiles faintly "Their bloodline"
Vixen turns at Greg confused
Greg expands "The bloodline of people from the lightning nation are all prodigies, they might not win all fights but i have never seen them lose so fast in a knight exam. They are strong and are always able to think fast on their feet and even with little training they are always able to have surprise victories, that nation..... is full of beasts"
At the battle ground the audience are surprised by the turn of events, Dan is on the defensive while Icar is launching vicious attacks
Mumurs from the audience begin to erupt
"Why is he defending"
"I expected him to win easily"
Icar smiled as he gets close to Dan "Looks like your fans are leaving you"
"They are the least of my worries now" Dan says as he evades Icar's attacks
Dan created enough space from Icar before he goes full power-lightning goes all over his body. He charges at Icar with full speed, it's harder for Icar to see him
Icar shocked "Did this kid just get faster?"
"No I can still hit this little twerp"
As Dan gets closer a big chi whip comes straight at his face but Dan dodges the attack at the same time delivers powerful lightning punches and kicks to his face, ribs and stomach
Dan keeps going "Don't relent just keep moving"
"Enough!" Icar roared
His whips moves faster and they struck Dan repeatedly all over his body
"Got ya!" Icar shouted
Dan with the bruises on his body stood his ground and started dodging the attacks, he goes to him and punches him on his stomach and chin twice
"Now he's defenceless time for my final move" Dan thinks to himself
Dan imbues his right fist with lightning, he knuckles glowed bright blue and he hits him with his special move "Karate Straight Punch". The attacks was massive, it blasts Icar far away into the wall of the battle ground knocking him out
The announcer's voice rings out "Wow wow wow, what a match. Our winner is the boy from the Lightning nation Dan!"
At the Knight Administrator's Office, they are all in shock apart from the man who knew the end from the start
"What the hell was that?" Vixen says
Greg leaned back on his chair with a bright smile on his face " I told you, that nation is full of beasts"
At the battle ground, the audience erupt in celebration
"Dan the man!"
"I never lost faith in the kid"
Dan covered in cuts and bruises, he looked at the audience around him cheering, he smiles faintly. His knees gave way and he collapsed
Medics rush in to take him to the clinic where he can be treated and rest
Hours later Dan is back home
Sofia welcomes him back with a huge hug "Congratulations Dan, you won"
"Ouch that hurts" Dan says
Sofia laughs and smacked his back "So you can still feel pain"
Dan groaned "Still hurts"
Sofia, looking out of the shop window"I really can't believe you are going to become a knight"
"There are still three more matches to go" Dan said
"But i know you're going to win" Sofia adds
Dan smiles "Yeah"
Three Days later, Dan's match was about to start but within those three days he trained at his karate dojo to refine his skills, returned to the forest in the small village outside the city to increase his lighting efficiency. Dan is in the battle ground about to fight
The announcer on his mic screams"Welcome ladies and gentlemen, The boy you've all been waiting to see Dan the lightning boy vs Dosu The Mouth-Acid Chi User"
Dan comes out to the battle ground still having the pain from the fight with Icar, it's hard for him to move his body
"Shit i still haven't recovered fully from my last fight and now I'm going to fight another tough one opponent"
Dosu stares across from Dan with eyes of conviction with acid dripping from his mouth.
