Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: The Secret of the World in His Mind

Awoo—

In just an instant, Gu You moved faster than even Gu Yue's space teleport, darting to the side of the Crystal Bear. Midair, his right hand gathered the force of the Purple Emperor Dragon Claw. If one looked closely, the dragon scales on his right hand contracted outward, then pulsed inward, radiating an eager, almost predatory thrill.

The Crystal Bear had no time to react. Gu You clenched his dragon claw into a fist and slammed it hard into the side of the bear's face.

He wasn't sure if it was his imagination or real, but at the last moment, he heard a wolf-like howl.

The Crystal Bear's massive body was sent hurtling backward, flipping over and crashing heavily into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Gu You glanced back at Gu Yue with a cheeky 'all done' expression.

Gu Yue's face flushed slightly. She'd had enough — this Spirit Ascension Platform wasn't fun at all. Without another word, she vanished from the battlefield.

Gu You gave an exaggerated shrug. 'Seriously? The Silver Dragon King can't handle a little embarrassment? All I did was make her call me big brother. I was merciful, wasn't I? What, did she expect I'd make her call me daddy?'

Outside the simulation, Wu Zhangkong and Long Hengxu had their jaws hanging so wide they could swallow an apple.

"One punch?"

"He one-shot a thousand-year Crystal Bear? How strong is this kid's power?"

Nobody even noticed Gu Yue had exited the platform — not until Fu Kao appeared suddenly.

"Wait… another one's out?" Fu Kao blinked. He'd only stepped away for six or seven minutes.

"What's going on? Did you find anything out?" Long Hengxu asked eagerly. He still hadn't seen Gu You's full file, and wasn't sure if the data from the Eastsea Forging Association was complete. But the Spirit Pagoda's records were always accurate — and Fu Kao had just gone to check. Soul master records could be accessed in two ways: through government agencies (with proof of being a relative or teacher) or, more easily, through the Spirit Pagoda, which had a longer and more trusted history.

In fact, when the Sun-Moon Federation was first established, it had no choice but to strike a deal with the Spirit Pagoda to share soul master records — because the Pagoda had done it for centuries already.

"I couldn't access it. There's a restricted attribute flag. I'm locked out." Fu Kao blinked again.

"Then why did you even come back?! Ugh! What a waste!"

Wu Zhangkong calmly grabbed the back of Long Hengxu's collar, stopping the director's flailing. Long Hengxu stretched his limbs forward like a struggling frog, trying to break free, but Wu Zhangkong ignored him. Someone had to stop this maniac from ruining the academy's image. If they let go, he might actually bite someone.

"I still pulled the basic profile," Fu Kao added quickly. "I can show you that."

With a swipe of his hand, a light screen appeared before them. Gu Yue walked over curiously to take a closer look.

Long Hengxu stared wide-eyed. Wu Zhangkong, by contrast, stayed calm — most of this information, Gu You had already mentioned himself. The only thing that stood out was the line next to his martial soul: "One of a kind through all ages."

"I'm not seeing things, right?" Long Hengxu slumped onto the floor. "What level of genius is this? Are we even qualified to be near someone like that?"

No wonder. Wu Zhangkong had been curious about Gu You's martial soul from the start — but when he compared it to Gu Yue's, his curiosity faded. After all, what could surpass a martial soul that controlled seven different elemental powers?

But "one of a kind through all ages" — that wasn't just rare. It meant that throughout history, only one such martial soul had ever existed: Gu You's.

If this became a family martial soul, passed down through generations, it would never fade. And based on its quality, it was undoubtedly top tier. If Gu You were to pair with a female soul master carrying a divine-grade martial soul, their next generation might even surpass the divine level…

Wu Zhangkong cut off the thought there. What did "beyond divine level" even mean? Was it like the Six-Winged Angel martial soul, which had twenty innate soul power ranks at birth?

Gu Yue's martial soul was possibly unique too — but in essence, it was just multi-element control. Sure, no one had wielded seven or more elements before, but fundamentally, it was a fusion type.

"Why did you come out?" Long Hengxu asked after pulling himself together. "Didn't Gu You save you?"

"Don't mention him! He makes me so mad!" Gu Yue snapped.

"You—you dare yell at me? Don't you know how to respect your elders?" Long Hengxu's temper flared up again.

"Call me big sister, and maybe I'll listen to you," Gu Yue shot back coldly. She'd already been forced to call someone big brother — and in front of so many witnesses! If word got out, how would she ever face anyone again?

Long Hengxu opened his mouth to retort, but Wu Zhangkong calmly dragged him away again. As they walked, muffled squabbling sounds echoed behind them.

Gu Yue sat down quietly in a corner. Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi didn't dare bother her — after all, anyone who'd called Gu You 'big brother' was effectively their team boss now. All they could do was hope Gu You didn't bully them next.

Not long after, Wu Zhangkong returned to resume watching the screens.

"Look! What's he doing?" one of the Spirit Ascension Platform staff suddenly cried out.

Everyone turned to look.

Gu You was reaching out, touching the Crystal Bear's forehead. Countless streams of energy began flowing into his mind.

Energy-formed soul beasts were fundamentally different from real ones. In the real world, Gu You could have simply unleashed a trace of his Dragon God aura, and any soul beast present would have instantly knelt, surrendering themselves to be absorbed into his mind world for cultivation bliss. And real bliss it would be — in just a few days, the hundred-year Frost Crystal Ice-Feathered Snake he'd previously absorbed had already grown into a thousand-year soul beast.

But inside the Spirit Ascension Platform, his Dragon God aura was useless. Virtual was virtual — it couldn't compare to reality. Even so, it confirmed that his mind contained a force capable of enhancing the cultivation of soul beasts.

The world in his mind had taken shape: snowfields, plains, forests, oceans — a fourfold landscape. Only deserts and volcanoes were missing, likely because he had no desert-dwelling soul beasts yet. As for volcanic terrain, Gu You suspected he might never encounter a suitable candidate in this lifetime.

Within the forest zone, the Crystal Bear's form slowly condensed. Gu You felt a massive drain on his soul power, a hollow, exhausting sensation flooding through him.

But the Crystal Bear's energy silhouette was becoming more and more real.

In that moment, Gu You knew he had succeeded. Even in energy form, soul beasts could be drawn into his mind world through a certain method…
