The coffee shop door opened revealing a tall figure, Jason Tanawit, dressed in a black suit. As he walked towards the counter, murmurs fill the room.

?:

Oh my God!

?:

So handsome. I wish he was mine.

Jason walked towards the counter to make his order.

Jason:

Excuse me. Can I get one iced Americano?

Waiter:

Of course. Just a-

The waiter paused on seeing Jason. His gracing features; his golden brown eyes, his flawless skin, his masculine figure- it said it all. The waitress was lost in her world, almost drooling over Jason.

Waiter:

Of course! Handsome!

She looked at Jason with so much admiration in her eyes.

Jason:

What!? Hello? Did you hear me?

Jason broke the waiter out of her daydream.

Waiter:

Yes! Of course!

She broke out of her trance, clearing her throat and adjusting casually.

Waiter:

While I make your coffee, please take a seat at table six.

Points to a table with the label " six" on it.

Jason:

Ok. Thanks.

Jason smiled to the waiter as he walks towards his table.

Jason sat at his table, waiting for his order. He took his phone out of his pocket to check for new messages.

Minutes later, the waiter brought his order to his table.

Waiter:

Here's your order, sir!

Putting the coffee on the table.

Waiter:

Excuse me, sir! Can I get your number? If that's okay with you.

Asked eagerly, waiting for a response from him.

Jason who was totally immersed in his phone, didn't give face to what she said.

Jason:

Sorry but I'm not interested. I don't just disclose my contact to anybody.

Jason said in a disinterested expression.

Waiter: Ok, sir! I understand.

Disappointed, she left for the counter.

Some minutes later, Jason finished his coffee. As he stood up to leave, he got a text from his brother, Fai in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fai:

Hey, bro! What's up? How you doing?

Jason:

Don't disturb me. New York is a busy city and you know that. So, don't disturb me.

Fai:

I just wanted to tell you something.

Fai:

Hey! Hello?

Phi! You there?

Jason shoved his phone in his pocket, ignoring the messages. He walked towards the counter to pay for his drink.

Jason:

How much is the coffee?

Waiter:

Fifty dollars. How would you like to pay?

Responded in a sharp voice.

Jason:

Cash!

Jason reached out for his wallet in his front pocket.

Jason:

Here!

Handing a cash of fifty dollars to the waiter.

Waiter:

Thanks!

After paying for his drink, he went out of the coffee shop.

As he came out of the coffee shop, he heard someone scream for help. Looked like a robbery had persist.

?:

Help!! Someone stole my purse.

As Jason took a step forward to see who was shouting for help clearly, the thief dashed like flash in front of him sending a fast hit breeze on him.

Without thinking, Jason chased after the thief. He caught up with the thief at an alley. Jason fist collided with the thief's face making the thief fall on his back. Jason hopped on the thief, beating him to a plump. Jason left the alley breathing heavily as the police arrived.

The woman dashed over to Jason, thanking him.

As Jason left from the crazy scene, he received a text from Fai.

Fai:

Bro, I got to tell you something. Promise not to freak out.

Jason:

What is it?

Fai:

Promise me!

Jason:

Don't put me in suspense, Fai.

Fai:

Ok! So.....Grandpa just died. And you need to come home, asap. Mom's devastated.

Jason:

What?! What happened? Was he sick before?

Fai:

He had a cardiac arrest. Just hurry home, please.

Jason felt his world crumble, he fell on his kneels. His grandpa was the only one who understood him better than everyone else. He was his comforter, his teacher, his everything. But now everything's gone. His chest tightened, tears stream down his eyes, he felt like nothing existed anymore.

Jason got up from his knees, went to the road side and ordered a cab. He gave the cab driver his address. The cab drove him to his apartment. When he got down from the cab, he walked slowly into the entrance of his building, to the elevator and to his room's porch.

He took his keys from his pocket, opened the door and slammed it heavily behind him almost making the walls crack.

He walked to the living room like a zombie, crying. He sank in the couch, crying with a pillow over his face. Jason had never felt this way about losing someone except from the time he lost his dad. He felt like every important thing in his life was gone; shattered and left in void.

Once again angry tears rolled down his eyes. He stood up from the couch to the bathroom. He took a nice relaxing bath that cooled his mind; not completely.

He went in front of the dressing mirror and said to his self....

Jason:

Guess I'm heading for Thailand tomorrow.

He sighed dramatically as he backed the mirror leaning on its edge.

Jason: Let's start packing then.

He walked towards the wardrobe, stretching his hands up to the traveling box on it.

He packed pairs of trousers, tops, jackets, socks, underwear, deodorants and skin care. After packing, he crashed on the bed to sleep.

The sounds of birds chirps echoed through Jason's room. The morning sun hit his flawless skin revealing a golden hue which made him look gracing. His alarm sound echoed in the room making Jason to awake from his sleep. He annoying shut off the alarm clock.

Jason:

Shut up, stupid alarm! Do you have to wake me up by this time? It's not like I have an important meeting.

Suddenly, the reality hit him like a train. He had a flight to catch!

He dashed to the bathroom. Took his bath, brushed his teeth, dressed up and brushed his hair.

Before leaving he turned to the mirror and said to himself...

Jason:

Looking good.

He leaves his apartment building hurriedly. Ordered a taxi to the airport and waited.

He waited and waited but no taxi arrived.

Jason:

Where the hell is this taxi?

Anxious, he looked at his watch for about ten times.

Some minutes later, the taxi arrived.

Driver:

Sorry, I'm late, sir.

Jason:

It's fine. Just take me to the airport.

He hurried in having no time to answer questions.

Driver:

Okay, sir!

The driver drifted like in the movies.

Minutes later, the cab dropped Jason at his desired destination- the airport. Jason paid the driver and darted into the checkpoint area.

After verifying all his papers, he boarded the plane and took a nice relaxing nap trying to forget the drama he's about to get in when he gets to Bangkok.
