Chapter 2 - The beginning (continued)

"Let's get to the basics... I'm Mr. Javer," he rasped, his voice slithering through the dim, oppressive air as he paced the room.

"I've brought you fledgling souls here for a reason not yet to be told." A chill wind seemed to whisper through the cracks in the walls. "However, I will tell you what you will do here." His steps slowed, his gaze sweeping over each terrified face.

"You will simply try to survive. But don't fret; the dangers here aren't... well, deadly." A thin, predatory grin stretched across his face, revealing teeth that seemed just a shade too pointed.

"Ugh, is it just me, or does this guy sound like some sort of—I don't know—a psychopath?" Ash whispered, his eyes darting around the huddled group.

"We're all the same," a tiny voice murmured. It was Txu-Txu, barely visible in the gloom.

"Yes, you are," Mr. Javer purred, his grin widening. "And now I must depart. Your first danger awaits, my dear children." And with that, he simply unraveled, fading into the shadows as if he were never truly there.

"Oh no, he didn't! I know he did not!" Agnest shrieked, his voice cracking as she pounded on the unyielding walls. "Does he know who he's messing with?"

"So, we're all... strange, and we're trapped in this bizarre place, and now we have to face unknown dangers?" I stammered, my heart hammering against my ribs.

"We need to keep it together," Pixie said, her voice surprisingly steady. All eyes turned to her, a flicker of uneasiness settled in.

"And who are you?, you seem a little to calm given we've just been kidnapped" Waze said, his eyebrows make and unusually upturned look.

"It's not that I'm "calm" I just knowing screaming and pounding walls is not gonna fix anything" pixie said, glancing at Agnest.

"Well since you're so smart, tell us how the hell we're suppose to get out of here then" Agnest sneered.

Pixie didn't respond, instead she examined the room. The room was cold and damp, almost like a celllar. It was bare, no objects lingered, except for a wooden rusted door at the corner of the room.

" um, there is a door over there" I pointed, " he did say something about going through his "games".

Waze moved cautiously toward the wooden door.

Agnest, still fuming, stepped in front of him.

" so we just open it and hope we don't die" Agnest said, his hand itching to open the door.

"No, we should think this through, there's no point in jumping head first into something we have no clue about" pixie stated, rushing to stop Agnest.

" To late", he threw open the door, running into the unusual light." This little-" pixie started after rushing in after him.

One bye one, we all started to follow in not wanting to be the last in the bare boxed room, not knowing that room would be are closest time of being safe.
