Chapter 16 - Unexpected Situation

Before Mu Yan could protest, she shoved one into his mouth. The sweetness exploded on his tongue, followed by a cooling sensation, like drinking fresh spring water. He swallowed, the warmth settling deep within him. Exhausted as he was, he failed to notice the faint stream of energy released from the fruit, traveling through his meridians and settling in his groin area. The coin tattoo purified some of the energy, but it was not meant for this purpose.

They finally settled in an alcove, surrounded by damp moss and stone formations that shielded them from the harsh air currents outside. Qin Ying, despite her exhaustion, still held an inquisitive glimmer in her eyes.

"Hey, where are you from?" she asked.

Mu Yan hesitated briefly before answering. "A nearby village. What about you? You look like you come from a rich family… but it seems like you were running from someone."

Her face stiffened. "How did you know?"

Realizing she had unintentionally admitted something, she clamped her hands over her mouth, eyes narrowing. "I warn you—don't tell anyone about this after we leave, or I won't leave you alone!"

Mu Yan raised his hands in mock surrender. "I won't tell a soul. Promise."

Satisfied, she sighed, letting herself relax as she hummed a quiet tune. The melody was soft, unfamiliar, yet strangely comforting. The cavern itself seemed to echo the sound, carrying it into its unseen depths.

Time passed unnoticed as Mu Yan felt warmth settling in his body, not just from exhaustion, but something deeper.

Mu Yan and Qin Ying felt their body heating up. After a while, their body stated getting feverish. Mu Yan felt something was wrong. He started feeling delirious, his consciousness getting hazy. He bit his lips to gain some clarity. Qin Ying also felt unbearable heat coursing through her body. It's so hot, I can't stand it.

Still retaining some clarity, Mu Yan understood something was wrong. He remembered they both ate something. Could it be a natural aphrodisiac? What to do? I don't have anything on me to resist this. How to resolve it. He noticed his situation was somehow better than Qin Ying's.

If this is not resolved, I might survive, but this girl would not survive this torture. He walked to the girl and assessed her condition. He noticed her temperature was sky high, signaling the drug had started its work. Without any resources or his cultivation at hand, there were only two ways left. One was the most primal way, and the other was a technique that he had read about in the Lin Clan archives. The Yin-Yang transference technique. The technique utilized the primal Yin and Yang of men and women without physical interaction between them. The technique was most effective with physical contact, but for now, only holding their hands should suffice. They were lucky that it was a natural aphrodisiac of the lowest level, not even considered a plant of level 1.

Moving closer to Qin Ying, Mu Yan took her hands and shook her awake. Qin Ying hastily withdrew her hands. What are you doing, Mu Yan?

Don't misunderstand. I was just pulling you back. You should be feeling hot and uncomfortable, right?

Yes, how do you know?

Because I am in the same situation as you. I think what we ate earlier was an aphrodisiac.

What. Qin Ying panicked. What will we do now?

Don't worry, I have a way to deal with this.

Hearing Mu Yan say this, Qin Ying scooted back, No, no, don't come near me.

Sighing in frustration, My Yan said 'It's not what you are thinking. I have a technique that we can utilize to neutralize the excess primal Yang and Yin qi in our bodies.

Ooh, Okay. Qin Ying shyly murmured.

I will impart the technique to you; it is called the Yin-Yang transference technique. Once you understand, we can start it. Mu Yan transferred the technique to Qin Ying and waited for her to begin.

We need to hold hands; this way it will be best.
