Chapter 10: The Silver-haired Assassin (3)
Apollonia and Syd hurried since the sun hadn’t risen yet.
Petra would definitely suspect Apollonia if her assassin failed and suddenly went missing, and Apollonia wasn’t thinking of letting her know about the magic stone barrier or just how much she had prepared yet, so they tried their best to handle things properly and make it look as logical as possible. They quickly took care of the whole scene, acting how a sixteen-year-old girl and her knight would if they saw an assassin.
“Kyaaaaa!”
A little past midnight, a girl’s scream echoed throughout the detached palace.
“A molester… it’s a molester!”
Her knight, Syd Weihen, and her attendant, Maya, were close, so they ran over to her first, and about five or six other servants came running barefoot soon after.
“What’s wrong, Your Highness!”
The princess cried in Syd’s arms as if he was her father, rambling on as she explained what had just happened.
