INSIDE THE HALL
— Let's start your training, boy. From today on, you will no longer be the same. You will become what we want you to become. You will be an assassin. No questions, no emotional attachment to the target... Just kill! — shouted Israel.
— FOLLOW ME! — he said, moving to the next room.
— The first part of your test is to adopt one of these pets. It will stay with you for the rest of your time in the HH. It will be your loyal companion from now on, so choose wisely — said Israel with a smile on his face.
— Alright... Let's see what we have here... A rabbit, a snake, a lizard, a dog, and a hawk — said Shiva, uncertain.
— Keep in mind that each of them has special abilities. You'll know what they are as soon as you make your choice — explained Israel.
— I'll choose the snake! — said Shiva without hesitation.
— Alright, since that's your choice, from now on it's yours. As I said earlier, I'll tell you its abilities. For now, it has only two: night vision and thermal vision. These are its starting abilities. Like any being, it will evolve and unlock new abilities over time — said Israel.
— Got it! — replied Shiva, excited.
— Now let's get to the best part of the training. Grab that katana and come to me — ordered Israel.
— Yes, sir! — said Shiva.
As soon as he grabbed the sword, Shiva felt something strange about it.
— What's wrong, boy? — asked Israel.
— N-nothing... It's just... I can't hold this sword... There's something about it... An aura around it... It's telling me not to touch it... — replied Shiva, scared.
"Damn it..." thought Israel.
— Boy, go rest for now. I want you back here in an hour — said Israel.
— Yes, sir! — replied Shiva.
10 MINUTES LATER — ISRAEL MEETS WITH KARINA
— Karina... That boy has a big problem... — said Israel.
— What do you mean? He seemed like a normal kid to me... — replied Karina.
— Well... He can't hold a katana... Probably not any other cutting weapon either. He said an 'aura' prevents him from touching it... — explained Israel, visibly worried.
— Damn... It can't be... That's impossible... Only the useless ones from the South are born with that curse... — said Karina with contempt in her eyes.
— That means he'll have to fight only with his hands... This curse doesn't allow the user to handle any kind of weapon... None at all... — said Israel, discouraged.
— I'll inform the leader. Let's meet later to decide what to do with the boy — said Karina.
Israel then trained Shiva only with his fists for two hours. The training was light, but for a six-year-old child, it was almost hell. After the intense training, Israel sent him to his quarters to rest. Then, he went to meet Karina in the leader's office.
KNOCK KNOCK
— Come in! — shouted Falyin, the leader of the HH.
— Leader... We have a problem. Shiva, the new child, has no affinity with any type of weapon... He carries the Southern Curse... An aura surrounds any sharp object, preventing him from touching it — reported Karina.
"Damn it... I thought that kid had something special when he looked me in the eye without feeling any fear..." thought Falyin.
— Argh... Honestly, we don't have any hand-to-hand combat training to offer Shiva. We'll have to let him train alone... — said Falyin.
— Leader, no! Training alone is absurd! No one learns or evolves like that, without a tutor, without books, without anything. That's practically impossible! — said Israel, confused and nervous.
— True... But there's no other way to make him strong. None of us in the HH can teach someone to fight with only their fists... So... I'll send him to Paradise — said Falyin.
— WAIT! Not Paradise! That place is 20 km away from our organization! It's a territory where the animals were born to kill anything that breathes! It's a pile of undead feeding on living flesh! You can't do this! — shouted Karina.
— WHO GIVES THE ORDERS HERE IS ME! Just throw him there! I can't accept someone this useless here! — said Falyin.
"Honestly... There's nothing else I can do. If I let him stay here without training, it'll damage my integrity as a leader. And if I try to train him with fists... It'll be useless... We're not pugilists..." thought Falyin.
— That's my order! Send him there at dawn! — shouted Falyin.
— YES, SIR! — answered Karina and Israel.
OUTSIDE
— The leader must have gone crazy... That kid won't survive in there... — said Israel.
— Orders are orders. Don't question them — replied Karina.
AT DAWN
— Shiva... Wake up — whispered Karina.
— Huh... Is it already time to train? The sun hasn't even risen yet... — said Shiva, still sleepy.
— We're putting you in a special training, Shiva. You're going to Paradise. That will be your training ground. You'll have to train alone for a while... — explained Karina.
— Alright! — replied Shiva without question.
After leaving through the organization's gates, they spent five long hours until they reached the place known as Paradise: a beautiful forest, full of colors... A perfect place for training... On the outside.
— We've arrived, Shiva — said Karina. — We don't know when we'll come back for you. Here's a paper with the things you'll need to train during this time.
— "Strengthen my mind... Train only with my fists... And survive... Is that all?" — asked Shiva.
— Yes, that's all... I hope to see you again, Shiva... — said Karina.
