Holding the miko outfit, which was too short even for a cosplay convention, Akichi Aya felt no great stir in her heart at this moment.
But just as Akichi Aya reached for her underwear, Akichi Kiko snatched Akichi Aya's discarded underwear first, tossing it into the wet shower stall.
"Aya! Wearing things like that won't bring happiness! Just wear the ritual garb!"
Akichi Kiko said, as she herself took out a 'ritual garb' and put it on.
"This ritual garb normally can't be worn. Mother is only able to wear it again this time thanks to you, Aya."
Looking at her mother, who was beaming with joy in the ritual garb, making herself look like a gift waiting to be unwrapped.
Akichi Aya silently put on the garment, which, even if not outright indecent, was at least somewhat shameless.
Just as she was about to leave the bathroom, Akichi Aya suddenly slipped, then yanked off the ritual garb from her mother.
"Aya!"
"Sorry, my foot slipped."
Seeing the ritual garb clutched in Aya's hand, Akichi Kiko could only open the wardrobe in the bathroom again to choose a ritual garb of suitable size for herself.
Although she was a bit older, the mature and alluring Akichi Kiko still possessed a figure that many young girls would envy.
While Akichi Kiko was selecting the ritual garb, Akichi Aya quietly pulled out her bag of thermite and a lighter from her school uniform pocket, stuffing them into the folds of the ritual garb.
"Let's go, Aya. Don't keep Master Ryudo waiting."
Aya followed her mother and walked a bit further into the villa, passing through a corridor where all the room doors were unlocked.
From the rooms along this corridor came sounds that made one's heart race.
Aya walked past these half-open doors with an impassive face.
Akichi Kiko, however, excitedly remarked that she had always wanted to live here and become a happy woman like these miko.
But Master Ryudo had refused her request. Now that Aya had also joined the cult, both mother and daughter would surely become miko of the Future Happiness Cult in the future.
They would become happy women, just like these miko.
Looking at her excited mother, Akichi Aya's hands clenched tightly into fists.
Her neatly trimmed fingernails pressed deep indentations into her palms.
After walking through this corridor, which her mother called the "Miko's Street," a pair of double wooden doors, emblazoned with a large character for 'Festival' (祭), appeared before Akichi Aya.
"We're here. This is the baptismal chamber."
Looking at the door to the baptismal chamber, Akichi Kiko said to Akichi Aya in an excited voice.
"You must seize happiness, Aya! You can do it!"
Akichi Kiko looked at her daughter, who had unconsciously grown into an adult, and felt that she was just one step away from happiness.
Taking Akichi Aya's hand, Akichi Kiko walked towards the door of the baptismal chamber.
Although it looked very ancient, the double wooden doors automatically opened to either side.
The dim space behind the doors made the room look like the dark, gaping maw of a beast, ready to swallow anyone who dared to enter.
Entering the dim room, Akichi Aya saw that only a few candles were lit.
And directly opposite the door, beneath a massive sign reading [Future Happiness], sat Master Ryudo, dressed in a loose yukata, with much of his chest exposed.
"Aya, Kiko, you've arrived."
Seeing Aya enter the baptismal chamber, a smile like that of a mischievous child seeing a new toy appeared on Master Ryudo's face, and his yukata also slightly rose.
"Then, let's begin the baptism."
Master Ryudo, with a smile on his face, clapped his hands.
The door behind Akichi Aya slowly closed.
Then, several large Black men, wearing only briefs, emerged from the shadows of the baptismal chamber.
Akichi Aya's expression hadn't changed at all at the sight of all this, but Akichi Kiko panicked upon seeing the large Black men.
"Master, isn't this the initiation baptism for Akichi Aya? Why... why are they here? Aren't they the ones who deal with apostate miko?"
Looking at the flustered Akichi Kiko, Master Ryudo's smile first stiffened, then he burst into wild laughter.
"Hahahahahahaha! You stupid woman, you actually believed that whole charade! Hahahaha, I've never seen a woman as foolish as you."
Watching Akichi Kiko's expression gradually freeze, as if savoring her reaction,
Master Ryudo slapped his thigh, mocking her.
"You're a brainless woman. After giving all your money to the cult, what use do you think you have left? Besides, your daughter ruined one of my testicles. Do you really think I'd let you two continue like this?"
At this, Master Ryudo laughed and clapped his hands again, as if suddenly remembering something.
"Oh right, you may be stupid, woman, but you have a pretty face and a good body. You can film movies and entertain clients to continue creating value for the cult! Bring up the camera!"
Following Master Ryudo's words and the sinister grins of the Black men surrounding them, Akichi Kiko slowly knelt on the ground as if her soul had been drained.
Her hands covered her face, filled with terror, like a broken doll. She muttered, "Impossible, it's not like this. I will be happy, I will be happy!"
Akichi Aya, standing by, looked at her mother kneeling on the ground, then at Master Ryudo sitting in front of her. She gritted her teeth, then unclenched her fists.
"Enough. Isn't it me you want? Let my mother go, and I'll stay with you."
"You'll stay with me?"
Master Ryudo looked at Akichi Aya, his gaze like a greasy brush, scanning up and down her body.
He patted the floor in front of him, then bared his teeth like a frog preparing to strike, revealing a greedy smile.
"Come here, kneel."
Akichi Aya strode towards Master Ryudo.
When she reached Master Ryudo, she slowly knelt with her legs together, placing her hands in front of her, seemingly about to unbutton her clothes.
Just as Master Ryudo opened his mouth to say, "No need to unbutton your clothes, just like that," Akichi Aya suddenly pulled out the pack of thermite and the lighter from her clothes.
Then, with a furious shout of "Die!", she pounced on Master Ryudo, who was sitting in front of her, like a preying female leopard.
But Master Ryudo, as if he had prepared for this, remained still in his seat.
The next second, Akichi Aya, who had pounced, crashed with a "thud!" against a solid glass barrier, like a fly in a glass bottle.
The pack of thermite in her hand spilled onto the floor.
