Chapter 18 - Chapter17

"Prince Leland, don't say nonsense in broad daylight. And exposing your chest like that so casually, where is the dignity a man should have? Aren't you afraid of ruining your reputation?" Gareth said with a smile.

Prince Yu was more direct. He fanned himself and stared at Prince Leland while sighing, "Prince Leland, your brain is really becoming as developed as your glutes."

The originally proper business discussion was now drifting into strange territory, and the three of them looked like they were about to start fighting with veiled insults.

Elara said, "…Alright, that's enough." They hadn't even finished discussing the business yet, so what were they going on about?

As soon as she spoke, the three men immediately turned their eyes to her.

Elara looked at Prince Leland and pulled the topic back on track. "With your participation, this war is mostly secured now. But Miss Bai is still curious about one thing. I know the Salvia Kingdom is not easy to deal with. Besides the problems you just mentioned, I also heard that they have a divine vein blessing that's not weak. But you didn't mention anything about it earlier. Does that mean there's already a method to handle their divine vein blessing?"

The System had especially reminded her about the Salvia Kingdom's divine vein blessing, which made Elara very concerned.

She never fought a battle unprepared. She needed to know exactly what kind of divine vein blessing the Salvia Kingdom had in order to make the right decisions later.

Elara asked about the divine vein blessing of the Salvia Kingdom. Prince Leland's excited smile faded a bit, and a clear look of disgust appeared in his eyes. He leaned back into his seat, picked up the wine pot on the table, poured himself a big cup, and drank it before speaking.

"The Salvia Kingdom itself doesn't have an awakened divine vein blessing, but they do hold a very troublesome divine item. It came from a deal made a hundred years ago with the remnants of the Dark Sky Temple, and they got it from them."

"What is it?"

Prince Leland looked up at Elara. "It's a silver mirror that can control people."

Elara, who had seen many strange divine blessings in this world, wasn't too surprised and continued to ask, "Can you explain more?"

"Sure, it's not that much of a secret, and the more those dogs in Salvia try to keep it hidden, the more I want to expose it."

Prince Leland's hatred for Salvia ran deep. He didn't care at all about the importance of the information and directly told Elara everything. "That mirror is strange. It's unlike any other mirror in this world."

"The reflection inside is extremely clear, even clearer than water. It almost feels like there's a completely identical world inside. A past ancestor of Gladiolus Kingdom had once been severely harmed by the Salvia Kingdom because of that mirror, paying an extremely heavy price."

"It took nearly a century to rebuild Gladiolus Kingdom from the brink of destruction. Naturally, they had come to deeply understand that mirror. The one who holds the mirror just needs to touch it and imagine the person they want to control in their mind."

"That person's image will appear in the mirror and be under their control for one full hour. During that hour, the controlled person won't resist at all and will unconsciously follow the mirror owner's commands. What's worse is that the mirror can also transfer damage."

"Whatever harm the mirror's owner suffers during that hour, whether it's a fatal injury or deadly poison, it can all be shifted to the controlled person. It makes them a scapegoat to die in their place."

When Prince Leland reached this part, his voice turned gloomy and dark. Their ancestor, once praised as the war god of Gladiolus, had been quietly killed after falling under the Salvia Kingdom's control.

That was the reason Gladiolus later lost the war and nearly collapsed. Even a large piece of land was cut off to become the Narcissus Kingdom.

It was the greatest shame in Gladiolus Kingdom's history. Whenever it was brought up, Prince Leland always felt deep humiliation and hatred.

Elara also looked shocked as she listened. A mirror that could not only control someone remotely but also transfer injuries? That really was a divine artifact, far beyond anything she had seen at the Treasure Banquet.

Elara gained another theory about the origin of divine vein blessings. Most likely, these scattered divine vein blessings in the world came from some advanced civilization.

"Does that mirror have any weaknesses?"

Such a powerful item would be too unstoppable without flaws. "Of course it does," Prince Leland's face showed a mocking look again.

"First, the mirror can only control one person at a time. And that person has to be within five miles of the mirror's owner."
