Giavanna's doubts increased, and her eyes kept darting around as they took her back to the pack house.
She could tell they had a trick up their sleeves.
"Since you promised not to hurt me, I think you should let me go.
"I do not belong here" Gia said suddenly, pausing on her track as the pack house came into view.
"You are still my prisoner and, till this is gone, you will not leave", Alpha Leon replied, pointing to his chest.
"And if it doesn't?" Gia asked.
Smirking and cocking his head to the side, he left her question unanswered and continued walking.
But the sudden change in his attitude made her more wary of him.
Gia sighed in defeat as she returned to the room once more.
"I need to plan properly" she thought as exhaustion settled over her.
Her eyes clouded with tears of anger and anguish as she remembered how her grandmother was killed.
Her chances of escape had decreased greatly as she knew she was now heavily guarded.
"If only I could..."
Gia trailed off thoughtfully as she summoned her power and a purple flame ball appeared on her palm, but her eyes remained black and blank.
It's the core of her power.
Different thoughts of what to do ran through her mind until she settled on one and lifted herself off the bed.
"Let me meet him!" Gia yelled and bang on the door to get the attention of the guard outside the door.
…
Alpha Leon was in the middle of a discussion with his beta when one of the guards he had ordered to watch over Gia mindlink him.
'Bring her over' he replied.
Gia was brought in a few minutes later, her expression masking the fiery pit in her heart.
She almost lost her composition at the sight of him, but she remembered her mission and forced herself to remain focused and calm.
Only then can she win him.
She plans to kill him and flee the pack, since her grandmother is dead, it's time to seek revenge on those that killed her parents and brother too, after she is done with him.
"What do you want to say to me?" Alpha Leon asked, relaxing into his seat with his arms folded across his chest and his gaze fixed on her.
"Privately" Gia replied, glancing at the men watching them.
Alpha Leon gestured to his men to leave them with a wave of his hand and a slight smirk appeared on his face.
"But, Alpha -
"Leave us alone" he repeated, leaving no room for an argument, and they all obliged.
"I want to heal your wound, so that I can leave" Gia said, looking back at him expressionless.
Even though her heart was beating wildly in her chest as she talked to him.
If things do not go as planned, she is as good as dead.
Her cold eyes show no weakness, but on the other hand, Alpha Leon was finding it difficult to remain in the same space as her.
His wolf was getting too excited, but he wanted to kill her.
And he plans to do so, after she heals him.
His kindness is only as a result of what the Seer had said.
Alpha Leon smiled at her words, his plan was falling into place.
"Okay".
He replied.
Gia's heart quickened, and she moved closer to him.
Kneeling before him, Gia looked around, tracking and mapping out an escape route if things didn't go as she planned.
Going out the window would be her only plan, but the first step needed to be successful before that could happen.
"What is that?" Alpha Leon asked, frowning as he watched her palm lit up with a purple orb.
"To heal you" she replied.
Gia's heart continued to race and her hands trembled. She did not know what would happen or what to expect, but she had learned from her grandmother not to use it except it's her last resort.
Placing her palm on the bare skin of his chest, her heart raced painfully almost immediately.
Alpha Leon's expression turned from a nonchalant smirk to a frown of panic.
"What are you doing?!" he asked, alarmed.
Ignoring him, Gia used all her force and sent them both flying in different directions.
She hit the wall with a loud bang and fell to the ground unconscious.
Alpha Leon hit the opposite wall but, stood up almost immediately ran towards her.
The men waiting outside his office door all turned around, and their eyes widened when he emerged from the room with Gia in his arms.
They heard the loud sound but remained on their spot as he ordered.
"What happened, Alpha?" His beta asked after they got to the pack hospital and the doctor was checking on her.
He ignored his question and looked down at the ugly wound on his chest. It was now bleeding and several times worse than it was before.
"I shouldn't have trusted her words.
"She was trying to kill me", Alpha Leon muttered, and his eyes darkened in anger.
Standing up abruptly, he stormed out of the hospital angrily.
He walked out while rubbing a hand through his hair, his frustration evident as he stormed out.
The pack Seer was already waiting for him when he got to her place.
"She will not heal you" she said before he could talk.
"Why?!" He barked angrily.
"Maybe if you reveal that you are mates she might heal you.
"She hates you", The Seer replied, bluntly.
Her words made him pause for a second before his dark eyes darkened.
"I'm not telling her that, I'm getting mated to the one I chose.
And that's happening in days. She will arrive here today. I need this gone.
"Do something!" He yelled again.
"There is nothing I can do".
She replied, shaking her head.
At the pack's hospital, Gia remained unconscious after hours of the doctor trying to figure out what was going on with her.
Her skin had turned pale and cold, she was deteriorating fast.
Just when he was about to send a message to the Alpha, he arrived.
Alpha Leon took one glance at the doctor, and he knew she wasn't awake yet.
"Why is she not awake?" he asked calmly.
He was growing impatient.
"Her heart stopped beating", the doctor replied, and his eyes turned sharply at him.
Rushing into the room where she was kept, he was just a short distance from the bed when she let out a loud scream. Shocking everyone present.
"Didn't you say her heart stopped?" Alpha Leon asked in confusion.
The sound of breaking bones filled the room, as she suddenly bent in all directions.
The doctor had also rushed in after the Alpha and his expression filled with confusion.
"She is shifting," Alpha Leon said, his frown deepening.
After the words left his mouth, Gia's eyes opened, and she turned to look at him.
She growls lowly at him.
Screaming loudly again, her bones broke all over and all aligned again before her wolf form began to emerge.
Her human form slowly disappeared, and her small white wolf jumped down from the bed and pounced on Alpha Leon before he could react.
