Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: Bonds in the Darkness

The great shadow let out a thunderous roar, its voice shaking the entire chamber. MC's thorns vibrated wildly from the sheer force. The egglings huddled closer together, realizing their individual strengths wouldn't be enough to face this threat alone.

"It's time we stand as one," MC said firmly, his eyes gleaming with resolve.

Oyen unleashed a greater blaze, flames dancing across his spines. Hitam and Abu dashed to the sides of the shadow, drawing its attention with their high-speed antics. Putih enveloped the group in a chilling mist that clung to the massive shadow, slowing it down.

Cimut released a stronger vibration, her voice now resonating deep into the dark entity's form. The shadow staggered, struggling to keep focus. Lurik and Belang coordinated their tricks—camouflage and illusion—turning the battlefield into a chaotic maze of moving forms and flickers.

Meanwhile, MC concentrated the energy in his thorns, absorbing the waves of negativity pouring out from the shadow. In one synchronized motion, all the egglings launched a combined attack—empowered by the Element of Light that had begun to shine brighter in the center of the room.

Suddenly, the entire space burst into pure white light. The shadows screamed and evaporated into nothingness, cleansed by the warmth that surged through the air. But it wasn't just light—they felt a warmth deep inside, like courage and trust had taken physical form.

And then… silence.

In the very center of the room, a small glowing crystal floated—pulsing gently like a heartbeat. The Element of Light.

The egglings exchanged glances. No words were needed. They knew this was the fruit of their unity and trust.

MC stepped forward slowly. "This is just the beginning," he said. "But we're one step closer to our goal."

Oyen's flame flickered softly. "You think the next one will sneeze again?"

"Honestly," MC muttered, "I'd take sneezing shadows over whatever comes next."

Cimut hummed proudly. "My voice is a weapon *and* a therapy session."

Hitam rolled his shell. "Let's just hope the next dungeon doesn't smell like burnt mushrooms again."

They all laughed—lighthearted, even if only for a moment. The dungeon was still dark, but now they carried a light that could never be extinguished.

Together.
