Part I: The Fall of Eronvale
Smoke choked the skies above Eronvale. The city burned.
Kael knelt in the blood-soaked square, cradling Lyra's body in his arms. The battle had long since ended not with victory, but ruin.
Garron's forces, betrayed by Seren's hidden blades and Queen Selvara's infiltrators, were slaughtered before dawn. The Demon Queen's legions breached the walls from the east. No human army stood to resist.
Eronvale, the last true human bastion, fell in a single night.
Kael's grief was a living, snarling thing inside him.
He pressed his lips to Lyra's brow, his tears mingling with her blood.
"You said not to let them use me," he whispered. "But you didn't say I couldn't use them."
Part II: Azuren's Bargain
At the heart of the city stood the Obsidian Spire a relic from the old gods, forbidden for centuries.
Kael carried Lyra's lifeless form to its summit, where ancient runes pulsed beneath the bloodstained stones. His mark burned brighter than ever.
The wind howled as he placed her on the altar.
"Azuren," he called. His voice cracked the sky.
Lightning split the heavens.
And then ,he appeared.
A figure of darkness and golden fire, his chained form broken now, free in this world made weak by war.
"You called me, Chosen," Azuren said, voice smooth as shadowed silk.
Kael's hand clenched around the dagger.
"Bring her back."
Azuren's smile was cold."Even gods cannot unmake death. But I can give you power to avenge her. To drown this world in the blood of those who wronged you."
Kael's eyes blazed.
"I'll pay any price."
Azuren stepped closer.
"Then bleed your soul to me."
A blade of shadow appeared in his hand.
Kael hesitated ,then drove the dagger into his own chest, his mark erupting in light and darkness.
The world trembled.
And Azuren laughed.
Part III: The Awakening
Kael's blood soaked the runes. The ground quaked. The spire cracked.Every chained god in the beyond felt the shudder.
Kael rose, the wound gone, his eyes now twin voids of night.
The sword Vharion materialized in his grasp longer, darker, alive with ancient power.
He was no longer fully human. No longer bound by the laws of gods or men.
Azuren whispered, "Now claim your blood debt."
Kael descended into the burning city.
Part IV: Reckoning
Seren stood by the city gates, crimson dagger in hand, watching the fires spread. She felt the shift in the air and turned just as Kael appeared.
But this was not the man she'd known.
His aura scorched the earth. His gaze was death incarnate.
"Kael," she whispered.
He moved without a word ,faster than sight and in a breath, her blade shattered. His sword hovered against her throat.
Seren's face, for the first time, broke. Not with fear. But with regret.
"I never hated you," she said.
Kael's voice was like broken glass."And I never forgave you."
The blade fell.
And Seren's blood joined the ash-soaked earth.
Part V: The Final Betrayal
Queen Selvara appeared at the head of her army, a thousand strong, surrounding the ruined spire.
But she felt it too.
Kael was no mortal now.
He walked alone into her ranks, and with a word the ground split. Soldiers fell screaming into the void. Demons burst into flame. Magic crumbled in his wake.
Selvara's lips trembled.
"You'll doom the world."
Kael raised Vharion.
"I intend to."
And as dawn broke ,the Demon Queen fled.
