Chapter 1 - Chapter 1- Fuyi Amakatsa

...

frush-frush, ras-ras, frush-frush, ras-ras...

The delicate feeling of hearing the pencil gliding across the paper is beautiful—but....what truly matters?

Is it what is being written?

Or—

Is it what that writing means, once you've read it... and discarded such a delicate piece of yourself?

"…"

With short, dark wavy hair that swayed as he moved his head to the rhythm of the pencil touching the paper.

A green, distant, colorless gaze pierced from the young pale face, somber—perhaps thoughtful, or resigned to the words on the paper.

"…."

The young man couldn't help but frown slightly. Why?

"What was I doing?..."

He muttered the words softly, as they naturally came out of his mouth , full of confusion.

The words he muttered felt strange to him too...was was he doing?.

He took a moment to recompos himself and took a look around him in the room

The room was small and quiet, wrapped in the scent of old wood, Tatami mats softened every foot step, a single chabudai stood at the center, no higher than a man's knee, in front of it the Young man was seated, arms resting in the delicate table of the table were a paper and an wodden pencil stood side by side like waiting to be used.

The pencil still had a bit of Ink leaking from his tip....

Beside them, a calligraphy brush leaned gently against a porcelain rest, against the far wall stood a humble tansu, its drawers slightly open, revealing neatly folded garments and tools of daily life.

Everything seemed normal, but from the Young man's perspective, it seemed so unknown as so familiar....

He took a moment, before opening his mouth to speak.... He couldn't utter a word, was it from fear of being noticed? No, noticed from who?

Maybe a recomposition, he will soon be ok and everything will be back to how it was again, a normal life of a writter...

No, when did he decided to become a writter?...

Maybe the blue cracks of light?

"blue.....cracks....of light?"

The young man muttered, it seemed he regained his ability to speak but as he did so, he lost something else....his perception of reality.

As... In front of him, a open window, were a cast of blue light pierced, he slowly stood up, and as he did his robes a traditional styled that blends modern simplicity with classical chinese swayed with him, the garment is crean colores at the top slowly turning pitch black as it traces down the bottom with Ink splash patterns.

The clothes features a green ornamental design near the collar, wich closes with a traditional frog button.

As the Young man advanced he began to sweat profusely, his breathing, the touch of his sandals making contact with the ground, even his heart beat began to be heard.

Then he stood in front of the window and he could finally take a hold of his breath at the literal break taking scene in front of him...

A blue crack in the sky...slowly making itself bigger and more present against his house, like a big letter saying "notice me".....

"wha—.....what the hell?"

He couldn't help but be awestruck, this is a rare opportunity!, writte it.

As naturally as breathing, he went back steps to the chabudai kneeled and grabbed the wodden pencil and paper...

Whitout looking at them he went back to the window, and just as he was about to writte the feeling he was experimenting right now, he looked at the note in the paper....he did writte a note ok?.

"...."

-Fuyi Amakatsa.

What was it?— Japanese writing?— who cares, he just knew what was written from the many scribbes on the paper.

"it—....the blue crack?"

The young man couldn't help but feel strange looking at this paper...and the name..

"fuyi Amakatsa?— Ack! AH!, AHHHHH!!?!!"

Having a convulsión on the ground, tch, tch, so pitiful, the Young man mind instantly shuted down, that feeling of pain was so intense he thought it was better to bite his own togue and die— alas, he was fine.

...

...

...

The sun illumiated the happy and delightful town!, chatters there and there, childs running form side to side playing, shops everywhere.

"Ah~!, i have finally come!, so excited!"

Then the Young femenine voice, a woman walked by the entrace of the town as a carriage is walking the other way, attracting views the Young woman smiled warm and calmly as her long black hair swayed freely by each of her steps, her dark eyes that are outlined delicately giving her character a slightly teasing but strong gaze— even if they were half-closed.

She feels how the wind howls and hit her stylized robe inspired by ceremonial garments the outfit is a balance of simplicity and accetuation.

In her top a pale gray with dark trim, cut to empatize her elegant form, in her waist a striking red sash forming a bold knot at the center hinting discipline, her skirt was black and flowing, with a daring slit that reveal one leg that allows freedom in her movement.

She traveled in a constant pace, her shoes touching the ground in a good rhythm, it seemed like she was quite athletic for a young woman, the wind sashed with force as she made her way through the crowd of people evading then all with striking poses.

*huff, huff*

"nice, im nearly there~!"

She said to herself as she continued to sprint, the dark figures of every woman, man and child she passes by are surprised by her hurry.

Dark....why are they dark?, well they aren't of any relevance in the mind of the Young woman, since her focus was on getting to her target location.

But...then as she was about to make a curve in an alley for a shortcut.

"ah-"

"???-"

The young man of short dark wavy hair, was stunned as everything went in slow motion a shadow continued to grow in front of him as he looked dumbfounded at the Young woman who was with a smile but her eyes were blank.

*Crash!, pah!*

It wasn't even a second before they both fell to the ground with great streght, it seemed the running from the Young woman helped in that...

"ow, ow, ow...that hurt...hey, are you ok-..."

Not only her but even the Young boy was petrified as she was on top of him in a compromising position, but it only lasted so long before the Young woman instantly stood up.

"W-W-Wah!, im sorry!, i didn't mean bumping into you!"

She said, instantly making the mood kind of lightly only by her frantic apologies, the Young boy looked at her closely before nodding.

"is nothing....i was careless too... I didn't notice you running from so ahead..."

Said him, with his eyes nearly closing as if he was going to sleep right there.

'even if you tell me that, i was the one who entered the alley....how could you even see me?'

The young woman thought but she didn't say anything out lound since she know this was mostly her fault internally.

Looking at the Young boy, the Young woman couldn't help but be startled since...

"so cute..."

She said inwardly, he looked so pitiful right now and hearing her words he blushed slightly.

"thank you... Even if that's kind of an insult for a man...."

He said interrumping her thoughts, she lended a hand wich he caught before standing up.

"my name is Aika Damen, you can just call me Damen, im really really sorry for earlier but i need to go now, i promise if i find you again i will compensate you"

The young woman now called "Damen" said wanting to run away from such embarassing look he was giving her.

"don't bother it...my name is....you can call me Fuyi, if you want to get somewhere i can tell you were to go, by looking at you i can see you re new here..."

The young man now called "Fuyi" said with a light smile.

"o-oh!, don't worry about it, im good with directions and i know how to find the Lithia temple"

She said already turning from him to run away.

"wait!,did you say Lilithia temple? The one from the back exit of the town?"

Said Fuyi his face was filled with complex emotions at a second.

The young woman who took a step turned her head once again her beautiful black hair swayed with each of her tilts.

"uh...yes, that one, why you ask?"

She said confused by his shout.

"well...that.....that's my family temple, i manage the Lilithia temple"

That said Damen looked stunned before she opened her mouth to talk but words didn't come out, she took a deep breath before smiling nervously at him.

"w-wait...s-so that means y-you're the "custodio" of Lilithia temple!?, a young man!? My instructor!!?!!?"

As she said so, she remembers in her days as

"Silente Startee" that a custodio is one of the temple higher ranks, so how can a boy aparently her age is such a powerhouse?

She realized she had bumped in a custodio...

"PLEASE FORGIVE ME!, WAHH~!!!, PLEASE DON'T REPORT THIS TO MY FAMILY!, I DON'T WANNA GO BACKK!!!"

She instantly began to cry and apogalize kowtowing in front of Fuyi who was taken aback and sweated a bit.

"h-hey calm down, you have already apogalized-"

But she just continued to cry making Fuyi sigh tiredly.

...

...

...

We are back to live, with Fuyi walking along Damen who had her head down, they both passed by alleys and routes before reaching an huge door with a sign that said "outskits", they both passed the wooden Gates and began to walk in a path of flowers and weed.

"..."

Realizing she still had thought about herself and doubt in him if he was going to report this he smiled awkwardly.

"you don't have to worry Damen, i already said it was ok..."

Fuyi said trying to light up the mood, but Damen only lowered her head further making her look like someone searching for a coin in the ground.

"is.... Not that, is just that, before....you were so gentle with me and i have done nothing but problems to you.... Not only you forgave me for bumping into you, you still took care of me when people were looking at you badly when i was crying earlier.... I wasnt even thankfull enough to recive your help going to the temple.....i feel like buring my head into the ground forever..."

Damen said lamenting, she bited her lips and narrowed her eyes with selfblame while she played with her fingers.

Hearing her expresing her thoughts openly, Fuyi took a grasp of her nature and personality, he smiled gently.

"is ok...those moments will be forgotten by everyone in some minutes, not anyone will have a grasp of our actions for their entire lifes"

Said Fuyib...but Damen took the sentiment more hardly since.. She wanted to repent for her mistakes and make them right...

As they continued to walk by, Damen took notice of something from Fuyi, her dark eyes lighted up with interest and curiosity.

'he is so mature for his age...'

She said to herself, the entire time they walked by, he seemed composed and answered her questions about the temple with Swift words, and added tips for her advance to senior awaken.

The ranks are stabilized by the crutch into 6, that are:

1. Silente startee

New members, usually young or inexperienced. They handle basic tasks and receive teachings.

2. Temple servant

Caretakers of the temple. They help with rituals, daily maintenance, and support community events.

3. Senior awaken

Guides and teaches apprentices. Leads smaller ceremonies and transmits foundational beliefs.

4. Spiritual Guide

A well-respected figure in the community. Offers counsel, leads major rituals, and holds spiritual authority.

5. Custodian

Responsible for overseeing a single temple or shrine. Maintains records and ensures order.

6. High Custodian

Oversees multiple temples. Holds influence over both religious matters and local community leadership.

It was a simple yet efficent system of rank, right now she was at Temple servant, that's why she was assigned to be at a Custodian

Care.

"we have arrived"

Said the voice of Fuyi waking Damen up from her dsydreaming and she was awestruck by the sight in front of her.

Set beyond the town's edge, hidden among wisteria trees and overgrown moss paths, the Lithia Temple stood silent and tall.

Its curved roof glistened in the afternoon light, black tiles aged with grace, wooden beams—dark and sturdy—framed open hallways and shaded porches per lanterns hung lazily in the breeze.

A bell tower rose at the back, rusted but dignified.

Small streams crossed through the garden paths, passing by gently between the stones as wind chimes sang softly.

Fuyi stepped forward, leaving the girl speechless at the gate.

"so huge...."
