SEASON 1

ARC 1

CHAPTER1

The waves shimmered gold under the evening sun as Bulma's luxury cruise yacht drifted across the calm blue ocean. Seagulls wheeled overhead, and the deck of the ship was alive with chatter, laughter, and the clinking of silverware. Tables overflowing with delicacies stretched from one end of the yacht to the other.

Goku and Vegeta sat front and center—already ten plates into their feast and showing no signs of slowing. Goku had half a roasted octopus in his mouth while gesturing animatedly with a skewer of grilled meat. Vegeta scowled but didn't stop eating.

"I'm telling you," Goku mumbled through a mouthful, "you've barely scratched your new limits, Vegeta."

"Hmph," Vegeta grunted, tearing into a thick steak. "You just want another spar to stroke your ego. I've already surpassed you."

From a distance, Beerus watched the Saiyans with a mix of boredom and irritation. "Do they ever stop eating?" he muttered.

Whis chuckled beside him, swirling a flute of some glowing, alien drink. "Only when they're asleep. And even then, only sometimes."

Nearby, Bulma and Chi-Chi looked on with identical expressions of exasperation.

"Honestly," Bulma sighed, sipping from a cocktail, "you'd think the universe depended on bottomless stomachs."

"It's always training or eating with those two," Chi-Chi muttered. "I just wanted one peaceful party."

The music softened, and fireworks sparked briefly above the ship. The golden sky had begun to darken into a velvety twilight when Whis floated over to Goku and Vegeta, his staff glimmering in the dusk.

"Gentlemen," he said, "might I interrupt this... enthusiastic display of appetite?"

Goku looked up, crumbs on his chin. "Whis! You want to spar?"

"Not quite." Whis smiled. "I bring news. Frieza is not the only threat looming on the horizon. There are forces stirring far beyond Universe 7. A war may be coming—one that spans dimensions themselves."

Vegeta narrowed his eyes. "What kind of war?"

"A kind," Whis said lightly, "that not even the Gods of Destruction may be prepared for."

Both Saiyans fell silent.

"I propose a new level of training," Whis continued. "One that may push you past even the limits of divinity. But the decision is yours."

Goku's face lit up with excitement. "YES! I'm in!"

Vegeta nodded, fists tightening. "So am I."

That excitement lasted exactly until they got home.

"Absolutely not," said Chi-Chi, arms crossed as Goku tried to explain.

"But it's Whis! It's important! Dimensional stuff!"

"You promised you'd help with the harvest tomorrow. That's dimensional enough." She slammed the door.

At Capsule Corp, Bulma wasn't much more understanding.

"I need you here for the new gravity engine test, Vegeta. You're not skipping town again."

"But—"

"No buts. You're not going anywhere until it's done."

One sonic boom later, both Saiyans were sitting on separate sidewalks—literally kicked out of their homes.

They eventually met under a flickering streetlight in the city park. Neither said anything at first.

Goku sighed. "Chi-Chi's mad."

Vegeta nodded. "Bulma's worse."

"Still... we can't ignore what Whis said."

"No," Vegeta agreed. "We can't."

A flash of light bathed the park as Whis appeared, serene as always. "Shall we try again?"

Stars blurred into long streams of light as Whis transported them across the galaxies. The Saiyans stood on his travel cube, watching cosmic clouds swirl around them.

"You'll be training somewhere... different," Whis said. "Lord Beerus prefers his naps uninterrupted."

They arrived on Beerus's planet—lush, quiet, with twin moons glowing above.

Beerus barely looked up from his lounging rock. "Use my world for training? I don't think so. Try somewhere more... expendable."

He gestured, and a hologram appeared of a distant, desolate planet. Mountains, valleys, storms—and in the center, a small camp. A tall, wild-haired Saiyan stood watching the sky.

"Who is that?" Vegeta said, narrowing his eyes.

"Indeed," Whis said. "Your training ground awaits... and perhaps maybe , an unexpected ally."

As they boarded the cube again, the stars seemed to pulse with quiet energy.

"Welcome," Whis said softly, "to the beginning of your true evolution."

The cube blasted off into the void, toward an unknown planet.

The beginning... of the end.
