There round of applause as Rai Djin took the the stage , the headmaster goes in about hiw bright his future will be ,talent , peerless "this years top student award goes to ...Rai Djin " there was no doubt in anyone's mind who it would be Rai accept the award bowing to crowd , then take his seat with his classmates .As the ceremony continues, various other students are called up to receive there own awards.
Classmate mumble how it not fair to be born with so much talent . Rai reflects how such talent has caused to alienated from his peers however, too smart to fit in , to insensitive, why do you always have to be right ,sighing sometimes he wish he could just understand or make an irrational choice but that's not how it works .Atleast shinning so bright had protected him from bullies no one wants to mess with the headmaster pride and joy the golden boy , the boy who will grow up and bring honor to the school .Unlike some unfortunate souls good but not good enough.
As Rai walk out of the hall award in hand , he see in of the unfortunate souls Riku Kurobane,"Riku my homework wasn't on time this week " Shin Kazehaya says annoyed crowraling the Riku against the main halls outside wall ,students stream by just another day. With a moment of recklessness uncanny of Rai he steps in "leave him alone Shin" , "ooh look who here mr hotshot Rai Djin , what you going to do ,call the principal " however Shin back off knowing it ain't worth messing with Rai, with one last taunt " be seeing you, Riku" sauntering off with his lackeys .Rai offers a hand to Riku , Riku take his hands muttering " thank you " before scurrying off before Rai could say anything further, stretching his hand out Rai drops it , well so much for trying to make a friend.
Rai walk off home to his aunts house he's been staying with her since his mum passed .As he enters the house he calls "Aunt Saya " but get no response which is not unusual.His aunt does her best for him ,however she's a young woman in the prime of her life and career,social or work related events keep her out till late .Taking out a frozen meal Rai puts it in the oven using the time it take it to cook to study, today's book of choice was Clean Code , number fascinated Rai they say it the language of the universe he think to himself, but it won't help you understand people, infact it'll do the opposite sacre them away .Setting the book down he eats his dinner.
Upstairs in his room Rai take out he brings out a replica V8 engine model his aunt bought for him on his sixteen birthday, he's been trying to convert to an electrical engine set up with it battery packs , using his favourite YouTube channel From V to EV to help guide him.Seeing the time 11.30pm he knows he has to go to sleep early he got the school trip to science museum. As he climbs into bed he think how fun tomorrow's going to be. Excited it take him awhile to fall asleep.Rai door cracks open some time around midnight his Aunt peaks in on him seeing he's sound asleep she closes the door.
Saya sighs having a long day at work holding up a brioche for tomorrow school trip , she slips some money between the page and leaves a note for 'Rai money for your trip food in fridge ' signed Aunt Saya.
