Chapter 3 - The Birth of the Vampire Bride

The nervous, flustered mood gradually settled, and in that moment, she realized her emotions were actually shifting—she was starting to feel happy because the man in front of her was happy.

"It's over... it's over... I'm completely hopeless!"

Verona covered her burning face and followed closely behind Vlad, not daring to look at him again.

Yet, her eyes betrayed her. Despite her efforts, she kept sneaking glances at him. Vlad had an undeniable, unique charm that drew her in.

At that time, Verona had no idea about Vlad's dark intentions. She remained wrapped up in her own fantasies, innocently imagining things too embarrassing to speak aloud.

As Vlad walked through the palace, surrounded by blood and corpses, his self-control reached its breaking point.

After all, he had only just become a vampire and had yet to taste a single drop of blood.

According to ancient records, if he drank human blood within the first three days, he would become a vampire forever.

But if he resisted for three days, he would lose his powers and revert to a normal human being.

Knowing what fate awaited him, Vlad's decision was obvious.

But even so, this world wasn't one where he could act recklessly just because he had become a vampire.

At this early stage, vampirism came with obvious weaknesses.

And given the hidden supernatural forces lurking in the shadows of this world, caution was necessary.

Now that he had regained memories of his past life, Vlad sensed instinctively that this world was far more dangerous than it appeared.

Suppressing his raging bloodlust, Vlad arrived at an undamaged dormitory and issued a series of orders to the guards nearby.

Unable to restrain his desire any longer, Vlad suddenly pulled Verona—who was still daydreaming—into the room.

Startled by his abrupt move, Verona froze for a second, then immediately tensed up.

Looking at the man in front of her, panting heavily, she instinctively understood what he intended to do.

"I-I'm not ready…"

Her delicate body trembled as she whispered, her cheeks flushed red, her voice barely louder than a breath.

But Vlad no longer cared whether she was ready.

At this point, he only wanted to devour this innocent little white lamb.

He forced himself to regain a shred of clarity, not wanting to frighten her.

So, although his actions were forceful, they were not violent. He didn't immediately bite her neck.

Instead, he pinned her against the corner and grabbed both of her slim wrists in one hand.

His lips roamed hers, kissing again and again. It was clear Verona's resistance was weak.

She struggled a little, likely out of instinct or pride, but quickly surrendered.

Her body softened, melting into Vlad's heated embrace.

Without his support, she would've collapsed entirely.

The overwhelming scent of masculinity surrounded her. Her hands, raised high above her head, made her feel exposed and helpless.

That posture, imposed upon her, was humiliating—but it also stirred something deep inside her.

Her soft body, pressed tightly against his broad chest, grew hot. Her emotions surged.

"H-How… how is this happening…"

Verona's eyes turned glassy, her watery gaze blank as she lost herself in this strange, unfamiliar sensation.

"Will you give yourself to me?"

"Even your soul?"

Vlad whispered into her ear, staring at the dazed girl now powerless to resist.

Verona, confused and lightheaded, nodded without thinking. Her soft voice replied, "I'm willing… I'll give you anything you want…"

As her words fell, Vlad's lips moved toward her slender white neck.

Verona, her body still trembling, tilted her head slightly, exposing her graceful neck. She willingly offered herself to him, accepting his passionate kiss and bite.

In the next moment, Verona's body trembled again as a faint moan escaped her lips.

Her face turned bright red, glowing with an unspoken emotion.

She only felt a slight sting at first, but then a wave of heat surged through her, drowning her soul in ecstasy.

She was completely lost in the sensation.

She couldn't stop herself.

"Hah~!"

Vlad, now drinking her blood, looked utterly intoxicated.

As her warm blood flowed into him, he felt his power surge.

His burning bloodlust eased bit by bit—but the intense sensation of feeding was so overwhelming, he couldn't bring himself to stop.

It wasn't until he noticed that the soft, warm body in his arms was growing cold and stiff that Vlad finally came back to his senses.

The girl's flushed face had turned deathly pale.

As her life continued draining away, Verona—who had been lost in rapture—gradually regained consciousness.

But strangely, she didn't panic. Her expression was calm.

Instead, she reached out and hugged Vlad tightly, silently allowing him to continue feeding.

In that moment, she understood everything—but just as she'd promised, she didn't try to stop him.

She was willing to give her all.

And she did.

Vlad hadn't expected that this innocent girl, who had seemed so shy and delicate, would possess such courage.

He felt stunned.

In his eyes, she now overlapped with the image of the beautiful vampire bride from Van Helsing.

"How foolish…"

Seeing Verona like this, Vlad reached out and gently stroked her cheek.

"I told you… everything I have is yours."

Her voice was soft, but filled with conviction.

Verona, her face pale and weak, smiled gently. She stared at Vlad with tenderness in her eyes—though a trace of reluctance and sorrow remained.

She wasn't afraid that her life was ending. She only regretted that their time together had been so short.

"Don't worry… I still need you by my side," Vlad said firmly.

Hearing that, Verona—whose body had turned ice-cold, her life force slipping away—smiled brightly. Even as she teetered on the edge of death, she felt a joy she had never known.

Vlad didn't hesitate. He opened his mouth and bit into Verona's neck with his fangs.

He injected the vampire's blood virus.

The virus spread rapidly, devouring her human genes and transforming her completely.

The night deepened.

On the quiet bed, Verona suddenly opened her eyes.
