Will
"I may have made a mistake..." Looking around, it was pretty obvious where I was. "A forest... and I thought I would at least be reincarnated, well, I guess that's too much to ask..."
I sighed.
I had chosen the world of DxD, where power was status, and status was money and women. Besides, it was relatively safe as long as I didn't actively seek trouble.
After all, Issei didn't even know anything about angels and demons, even though he had a friend from church and went to school with devils in plain sight at all times.
The student council at that school was literally demonic!
"But honestly, I thought I was lucky! What the hell happened?! Status open!" In response to my wishes, the window opened.
Looking for it, I immediately fixed my gaze on the luck status.

...
"Is getting a system that expensive?" I coughed a little before returning to reality. "Well, I guess it's a once in a lifetime opportunity."
"I mean, it's not every day that this happens, right? I shouldn't complain too much..." Returning outside, I analyzed the environment once again, looking for clues.
Lost in a random forest with no knowledge of wildlife, I had never gone fishing or camping, never been a Boy Scout or anything like that. How the hell do I know where to go?
Sighing, I simply started walking aimlessly, trying to remember the landscape so I wouldn't walk in circles.

"Believing in fate seems to have its effects..." After walking for a few minutes, I soon came across a narrow dirt road, where there was an old woman carrying a bamboo basket on her back.
"Hey! Grandma! Wait a minute! Let's talk!" Running quickly towards her, I quickly noticed the strange look she was giving me.
Shit, I forgot, I must be in Japan! I don't know how to speak Japanese!
The old woman, however, screamed and jumped back.
It looked like she had seen a demon.
"What the hell?! You're not a ghost, are you?!Fuck! I don't want to die! Help!!!" Her eyes almost popped out of their sockets as she put her hand on her chest in shock, her breathing extremely fast and shallow.
"Calm down! I'm not! I'm an exchange student and I'm lost!" Little by little, she regained her composure.
"You damn boy, you scared the hell out of me! What the hell is an American boy doing in this hellhole in the middle of nowhere in Japan?! I don't even want to be here! What kind of stupid idea made you come here?! And why the hell did you dye your hair white?! And those demonic eyes?!" This time, I was the one who was shocked.
"You look like a ghost! Son of the devil!" I almost killed the old woman with fright...
Pulling a strand of my hair, I immediately noticed its pale color. My hair looked as white as snow, and I imagine my eyes are red like a snake's.
Is it just me, or has she not heard English in centuries, and on the day she does, it's from a man with red eyes and white hair...
In the middle of nowhere...
But I ignored it and turned back to her.
"Do you speak English?" She looked at me, still angry and pale.
"Of course I do! Damn it! I lived abroad when I was younger, I was young once too, you know? A very hot lady, by the way!" I just nodded, seeing the weight on her back and the state I had left the old lady in, so I approached her and helped her carry the weight.
"I'm sorry, let me help you in return." She just nodded and started walking toward her house again.
As we talked, processing the situation better, and soon a small town appeared.
A small town with a few old farmers.
Arriving at the old woman's house, I put the basket on the floor and looked at her.
"So let me see if I understand, you drank a lot. a lot! a lot!!! you drank yourself silly, and somehow mysteriously ended up at the end of the world and don't know how to get back, is that it, or am I missing something?" Embarrassed, I just nodded. It was easy to forget things when drunk, so it was the best I could think of.
"If you have money, you can always take a bus to a better place, you won't find a direct line to anywhere, but you can find your way. And it's very close to here." I simply pulled my pants pockets, which didn't have a penny in them, and looked at her awkwardly....
…
We stared at each other for a few moments in silence with an increasingly strange look.

'Don't reward me for being cheeky!'
"I don't know what you expect from me, but I don't do charity. Have you seen the price of rice? Living is already very expensive for just one person, I won't pay for another one." I just laughed softly.
"I can find a way to pay you back later... I swear on my pinky..." She looked at my pockets again and then looked up at me angrily.
"I doubt you'll remember me, I know your reckless type. You go around causing trouble for everyone. I'm sure you hit your teachers, come home drunk late at night after crashing your father's car, and even curse your mother for not having dinner ready."
"I know these kids nowadays, especially ones like you. If you keep this up, you'll end up robbing my house to buy more booze."
"No, I'm not going to help you. Actually, this is a good opportunity to make the world a better place and make your parents proud! If you want a penny from me, you're going to work in the fields! "
"If you eat, drink, or use anything, I'll deduct it later, and you'll only leave when you've paid for everything! It's either that or nothing!"I quickly stopped her and tried to get things back on track.
"It shouldn't be that much money, right? It should only be a few bucks to go to a big city. Don't throw a tantrum over it!"

She just shook her head. "This is literally the asshole of the world, it's far from everything and it's a hell of a ride to get out of here."
"You have a choice and just to be clear, everyone will give you the same one, you can even try." I sighed and tried to find alternatives for a few hours and eventually came back to her.
She was waiting for me on a rustic chair with a smug smile.
No one but her spoke English...
"Deal!" But I wouldn't give her an easy victory.
