I stood there for a moment, letting Mrs. Sterling's words hang in the air. Her expression had shifted from skepticism to shock, but I could see doubt creeping back in as she processed what she'd just said.
"Divine Doctor?" Dr. Weber repeated with a condescending laugh. "Mrs. Sterling, surely you don't believe in such nonsense."
"I've heard rumors," she said slowly, her eyes never leaving my face. "Stories about someone who can cure impossible cases. But I thought they were just urban legends."
Dr. Mitchell stepped forward, her professional demeanor barely containing her irritation. "Mrs. Sterling, with all due respect, we're dealing with a serious medical condition here. This is no time for folklore and superstition."
Isaac cleared his throat. "The man saved my wife from terminal lung cancer. Every specialist said she had weeks to live."
"Coincidence," Dr. Weber dismissed. "Or perhaps misdiagnosis. These things happen more often than people realize."
