Chapter 12: Asking Mother for Ninjutsu and Taijutsu
"I suppose Father, Minato Namikaze, is no longer at home. He should have already gone to the Hokage's office to work."
Sigh, how helpless! "I think I'll go find my mother first and ask for a few simple ninjutsu scrolls. Then, after my chakra is used up, I'll do some physical training. Thinking this, Orion walked out of his room. He left the room, preparing to find his mother, Kushina Uzumaki. I should be able to find her if I go down.
He arrived at the courtyard downstairs. Looking from a distance, just as he had expected, his mother was in the family courtyard. She was in the middle of practicing ninjutsu!
Orion stood and watched from afar. In the courtyard, my mother, Kushina Uzumaki, used one ninjutsu after another, each with immense power. However, Orion didn't recognize many of the jutsu; he had never even seen them before, let alone know what techniques his mother was using.
A while later...
Orion didn't know how much time had passed. He just kept standing on the stairs, watching.
Finally, Kushina Uzumaki stopped her movements in the courtyard, no longer practicing ninjutsu.
Suddenly, she turned her head, smiled at me, and said, "Ori, what brings you here? I saw you've been standing there for quite a while. Is there something you need from your mom?"
Mother Kushina's voice was very soft and pleasant to listen to.
But at this moment, Orion had a look of astonishment on his face. He asked, "Mom, you knew I was standing here all along? I didn't make a single sound or any movement. How did you know I was here?"
Seeing her son's surprised face, Kushina couldn't help but laugh out loud, though she quickly covered her mouth with her hand and gave Orion a sidelong glance.
She said to Orion, "Ori, you're underestimating ninjas too much! Your mom is a Jonin of the Konoha ninja village! If a Jonin like me couldn't even detect a little guy who isn't even a ninja yet, then could I still call myself a Konoha Jonin?"
"Ori, I detected you the moment you came here. My chakra can be used to sense my surroundings. You were detected by my chakra as soon as you arrived. So, whether you spoke or not, I knew you were here."
So that's how it is. After hearing his mother's explanation, Orion nodded silently. So chakra has this function too! This is the first time I've heard of it. It seems chakra has many uses I don't know about yet, Orion thought to himself.
Orion then said, "Mother, you must have used up all your chakra by now, right? I saw you use so many ninjutsu here. Using so many techniques must have consumed a lot of chakra, right?"
"Ha, Ori, you're saying my chakra is used up? Of course not! Your mom's chakra will never be used up. Your mom is a member of the Uzumaki clan, you know? My chakra reserves are several times that of a normal ninja's. Plus, your mom is also the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, so my chakra is even less likely to run out."
"Oh, by the way, do you know what a Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is?"
As Kushina spoke, she tilted her head and thought for a moment.
"You're so young, you probably don't know what a Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is. Today, your mom will tell you what it is."
"A Nine-Tails Jinchuriki... that's a person with a little fox sealed inside their body, you see. It's a very cute little fox. That little fox has nine tails, and its body has an endless supply of chakra. Now that your mom has explained it like this, do you understand?"
"A very cute little fox?" Orion broke into a sweat looking at his mother's innocent expression.
How could I not know what a Jinchuriki is? I've watched Naruto. But that's the Nine-Tails, a very ferocious old fox, yet she described it as a very cute little fox. I don't even know what to say.
Forget it. Maybe in Mother's eyes, that ferocious old fox that has lived for who knows how many years is just a cute little fox. Didn't the story say that the Nine-Tails has to be influenced with love? But I just don't know if this 'love' is actually effective.
If it were me, forget influencing it with love; it would be lucky if I didn't beat it up. Although I know very well that I can't defeat the Nine-Tails right now, there will definitely come a day when I can. And when it comes to the Nine-Tails, I still feel it's better to conquer it with strength. Creatures like that all submit to the strong, don't they? Orion thought silently in his mind.
"Hey, by the way, Ori, what is it you need? Just tell me. I can tell you came to find me for a reason," Kushina Uzumaki said with a smile.
"Yes, Mother. I do have something to ask of you. I... I would like some ninjutsu scrolls. And I would also like some taijutsu scrolls." After speaking, Orion looked at his mother, Kushina Uzumaki, with pleading eyes, as if he was afraid she would disagree.
At that moment, Kushina Uzumaki slowly walked towards me. She came to stand right in front of me, raised a fair, slender hand, held up a single finger, and gently tapped me on the forehead.

"Haha, haha, of course not! Mother, you're overthinking it." Orion could only give an awkward laugh in response. He definitely couldn't tell his mother the truth; he couldn't possibly say, "I was afraid you wouldn't give them to me." That was impossible to say out loud.
Kushina saw her son's awkwardness and stopped teasing him. She said, "Come with me."
After speaking, Kushina turned and walked off on her own, not even looking back at her son. She knew that her son would be able to keep up. Even if he couldn't, the house was only so big; he would definitely be able to find her.
Seeing his mother leave, Orion happily trotted after her. In the process, Kushina slightly increased her speed.
Initially, Kushina just felt she was walking too slowly and wanted to go a bit faster, so she picked up her pace. But then, she suddenly discovered that her son had also accelerated, constantly maintaining the same distance from her. This discovery surprised Kushina.
"My, oh my. This kid can actually keep up. Not bad, not bad. I'll speed up again and see if he can still follow."
And so, with this thought in mind, Kushina continuously accelerated, faster and faster, until her speed reached the level of a Genin. She had even used chakra to boost her speed, yet Orion could still keep up. This left Kushina a little baffled.
