Chapter 3 - 3.Class B

After hearing the teacher announce that our monthly points totaled 100,000, everyone buzzed with excitement at the thought of being treated like VIPs.

Then Ichinose raised her hand and addressed the whole classroom, saying, "Why don't we all calm down and listen to what the teacher has to say?"

The classroom quieted as Ichinose asked them to.

'Hmm, she's a natural leader. Not even a day has passed, but she's already unifying the class as a whole,' I mused, looking at the pinkish-blond-haired girl.

"Hehe, I don't have anything more to say. If you all have any questions, feel free to ask, or you can spend your money by shopping at the mall. It's more interesting to shop, right?" Chie Hoshinomiya said with a cheerful mood, her chest subtly swaying.

Then a tall, lean yet athletic boy with dark hair and a cool, intelligent look raised his hand to ask a question.

"Does all the class get the same amount of points, Hoshinomiya-sensei?" Ryuji Kanzaki asked with a thoughtful expression.

"Yep, after all, you all are the future of society." Chie Hoshinomiya replied with a happy expression.

I looked at the students in the classroom. Most of them wore pleasant expressions on their faces, except for Ichinose and Kanzaki, whose faces reflected doubtful looks.

Then I looked toward the teacher; she looked at me at the same time. I looked into her brown eyes, wondering if I should help the class a little bit on figuring out the system of school.

Chie Hoshinomiya's POV:

'Hmm, this year's students look good enough to put up a fight. The exceptional students are most likely Ichinose Honami and Ryuji Kanzaki. Ichinose, with her charismatic personality, is a born leader, and Ryujo Kanzaki is a highly intelligent and academically capable student.'

'Maybe they'll figure out the S-system quickly, judging by Ryuji Kanzaki's question. I hope Sae-chan's D-class won't have any outstanding students like Ichinose or Kanzaki.'

'But one of the students caught my eye from the beginning: a tall, handsome boy with deep purple eyes and natural blond hair, a look of laziness and indifference etched into his face.'

'If I were any younger, maybe I would've dated him if he proposed. But the most surprising fact is that from the moment I entered the classroom, I still haven't seen any expression—anything like happiness, doubt, or curiosity—on his face. He looks like he doesn't care about the money or the benefits the school is giving him.'

'As I was evaluating the students in my mind, I sensed a pair of eyes looking toward me. I looked toward the boy, and his deep purple eyes locked into my brown ones.'

'Why does it look like a staring contest?' I thought as both of our eyes almost looked at each other for a minute without blinking.

After a minute, I got a little flustered at his intense yet calm gaze, so I tried to slip away by saying goodbye to the students.

Ken's POV

"Alright, everyone," she said with a slight lift in her voice yet relaxed. "That's it for today." Offering a small, almost imperceptible smirk, she tried to slip away, casually adding, "Goodbye, students, I have to go for drinks."

But before she could slip away, a casual and calm voice reached her ear.

"Sensei, I have a question if you don't mind me asking," I said, raising my hand and looking at her.

"Oh? A question, from you? Well, now, this sounds intriguing. Go on, handsome, don't keep Sensei waiting," she said with a playful smile.

'Not only students but also teachers are fake in this school,' I thought, looking at Chie-sensei's fake smiling face, though my face didn't betray any emotion.

"Will we get the same amount of points next month?"

"A direct question, hmm? You're quite bold. But a teacher's secrets are, well, secrets, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps if you were to, say, persuade me later over a cup of something strong, I might offer a hint." Giving me a suggestive wink, she reflected the question by evading the answer.

Hearing her answer, most of the boys in the classroom started to look at me like I'd stolen their crush from them, while some girls looked at me with an infuriated gaze because of my good looks.

Ichinose and Kanzaki's faces turned to thoughtful expressions hearing my question.

I stared toward the Sensei for a moment, then sat down in my seat and gazed into the window, looking at the surrounding environment.

"So we won't," I said, loud enough to reach the Sensei's ear.

Chie Hoshinomiya seemed surprised for a second before saying, "Okay, students, I'll have to go for drinks. See you later."

Then she sauntered out of the classroom, leaving the students to their own devices.

After the teacher left, a gentle smile graced Ichinose's face as she looked at the murmuring students and stood up to the front of the class before addressing them.

"Alright, everyone," Ichinose began, her voice clear and carrying, yet still warm and approachable. "It seems like Hoshinomiya-sensei has given us a little bit of time to get acquainted before we dive into the specifics of our school life here."

She paused, making eye contact with various students; her smile broadened slightly.

"My name is Ichinose Honami, and it's truly a pleasure to meet all of you. I'm sure we're all feeling a mix of excitement and a little bit of nervousness, starting at such a unique and prestigious school."

"I believe in working together and supporting each other," she continued, her tone earnest.

"This year is going to be full of new experiences. I'm really looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you, and I hope we can all help make this a truly fantastic year for Class B."

She then gestured around the room, inviting interaction. "Please, don't hesitate to come talk to me if you have any questions, or even just if you want to chat. Let's make sure we start strong, and build a wonderful, cooperative class together."

'Now I see how she's capable of unifying a class so fast. She literally looks like an angel of trust with a bright halo on her head,' I mused as I saw all the students looking at her attentively.
