The moment Lord Clone died in an unknown zone in a mountain range, there was not a single trace of life here. There was a small hut on the mountainside, and sitting inside was an old man drinking wine. Suddenly, his face turned pale as he coughed, mouthful after mouthful of blood. He roared in anger, his face darkening, yet there was an unspeakable fear in his eyes before he calmed down. He Closed his eyes, as mana power surged around him.
Meanwhile, Leo could be seen in the middle of a crater as the dust from the battle settled down. His expression was still menacing as he scanned his surroundings with a cold gaze. Then, his eyes lit up as he peered deep into the forest with a profound intensity. Charging into it with a single step, he disappeared into the distance, leaving behind the ruins of battle, bodies were scattered everywhere, followed by the strong scent of blood. Anyone who saw this scene would feel terror and dread just from the sight of it.
After running for an unknown amount of time, he suddenly came to a halt, looking at his surroundings. Then, he kicked the earth with his foot, creating a gaping crater while revealing a mountain of crystals that twinkled in the moonlight. Seeing this, he sank into the crater, his face turning pale as he coughed out a few mouthfuls of blood. Before his vision went black, he losted consciousness.
There was no trace of life in the surroundings, but If one looked from above, they would see a frail figure covered in blood—but no one knew if the blood was his or not. It remained a mystery.
*Three years later.....*
A man and a girl could be seen walking through the forest.
"Dad, do you really think we can find it here?" the girl asked in doubt, her eyes lighting up with the vitality of youth as she looked at the man before her.
He sighed. "Phoebe, if we can't find it here, then there's nowhere else we can." He took the girl in his arms gently. "But don't worry, we will definitely find a way to heal your mother," he said, slight confidence contained in his voice.
Phoebe nodded as she tried to evade her father's hands, while running into the distance. Giggling .
"I told you to always stay close to me! It's dangerous out here!" he said as he gave chase, the sound of her laughter echoing through the thick trees.
Meanwhile, in another place, things were unfolding beyond Leo's knowledge....
"Lord Sung Yang is coming! Clear the way, you bastards!"
*Swish!* As all of this unfolded a figure could be seen floating in the wind, giving people a sense of reverence as they looked at him. If Leo were to be here, he would be surprised—he would recognize this figure. It was his best friend from high school, Sung Yang.
Guards could be seen chasing the crowd away, making a path for their lord.
"Haha, alright, alright. You all don't make a scene here," Sung Yang said with a smile as he chuckled . He nodded at the crowd before soaring above everyone into a palace in the distance.
"Honey, you're back," a beautiful woman greeted, upon his arrival, before walking out of her bed to give him a hug.
"Yes, Lin Cheng, I'm back. I will always come back home for you?" he said in a soft voice, gazing into her beautiful green eyes that sparkled brilliantly at every moment—at least, to him, they sparkled beautifully. Their lips met for a moment before he pulled away.
"Is Father around?" he asked, his voice sounding quite hasty, which made her frown.
"Yes."
*Swoosh!*in an instant,he disappeared from sight.
*Back in the forest...*
"Dad, look over there!"
"What is it, sweetheart?" the man asked in a weary tone. Sigh.
"There's a hole in the ground! Dad, come on, take a look!"
Hearing this, the man rushed over, only to see a gaping crater, which made him swallow hard. He pushed the little girl behind him as he approached cautiously, holding her tightly.
Once inside the crater, his heart suddenly stopped,as he trembled, clearly unable to contain his excitement. He held the girl in his arms and looked at her as though she were a priceless treasure, his eyes lighting up before he bursted in laughter, barely restraining it.
"Phoebe, you are the best!" he said soon after, as he approached a peculiar plant in the crater. Slowly, his eyes shone brighter and brighter with each step he took, as he grasped the plant. His body trembled for a moment as sweat covered his brow, then his face widened with a grin.
He held Phoebe in his hands as he tried going out of the crater—but then he heard her gasp. Turning his head to follow her gaze, he also gasped in shock before scrambling his way out of the crater, his heart pounding from the shock.
"Phoebe, let's get out of here." Now.
"Dad, we should see what's down there! It looks like a person..." she said in a pleading tone.
He sighed. "Little girl, in this world, there are things even more scarier than ghosts. We should go back home." Without saying another word,he sprinted at his fastest speed disappearing in the distance.
Her eyes looked bleak as she glanced back at the human-shaped shadow in the crater. Disappointment filling her eyes.
