At that moment, a woman wearing a black, low-cut evening gown and a lady's veil hat stepped into the elevator.
She pressed the buttons for the 18th and 6th floors, then said in a low voice, "At this time, he always eats in the fine dining restaurant on the 18th floor."
Hearing her voice, Jimmy immediately recognized it—it was Erika!
"Why are you deliberately telling me this?" Jimmy asked suspiciously in a low voice.
Under her hat, Erika let out a soft laugh and whispered back, "Because I want to see whether you can actually kill Kingpin or not!"
Jimmy raised an eyebrow. This woman… she really was unpredictable.
The elevator soon stopped on the 6th floor. Erika, twisting her alluring hips, walked out into the bar, while Jimmy continued to the 18th floor.
With a "ding," the elevator doors opened.
In front of Jimmy was a hallway. He took a deep breath and slowly walked to the end. Under the curious gaze of a waiter standing outside the fine dining restaurant, he stepped inside. Instantly, elegant music surrounded him.
Jimmy looked around the restaurant but didn't spot Kingpin anywhere. Just then, a pretty waitress walked up to him and politely asked what he needed.
"Do you have private rooms here?" Jimmy asked in a low voice.
Surprised, the waitress looked at him and replied softly, "Yes, but they're reserved for VIPs only."
Jimmy frowned. "The restrooms aren't limited to VIPs, right?"
"Uh… no, sir. The restroom is over there," the waitress answered awkwardly, pointing toward a side door away from the restaurant area.
Jimmy nodded and walked toward it. There was a camera in front of the restroom door, but none inside.
As soon as he entered, Jimmy saw two men in black suits and sunglasses washing their hands. He instantly recognized them as Kingpin's goons. Without hesitation, Jimmy struck one of them on the temple as he passed, knocking him out instantly. The second man froze in shock.
Jimmy didn't give him a chance to react; he landed a heavy left hook to the man's face, sending him crashing to the floor. Jimmy then stomped down to finish him off.
Glancing around, Jimmy dragged the two unconscious men into one of the stalls. He quickly took off their suits and put one on himself. Soon, he looked exactly like one of Kingpin's bodyguards. Jimmy patted himself down, locked the stall door from the inside, then climbed out from another stall.
As he passed the sink, he didn't forget to grab a pair of sunglasses left nearby.
Dressed in black with sunglasses on, Jimmy coolly left the restroom and walked toward the VIP private rooms.
Soon, he spotted Kingpin's room because four men in black suits and sunglasses stood rigidly outside.
Jimmy lowered his head and walked up to them. Under their watchful gaze, he suddenly summoned two pistols into his hands. Before the guards could react, he gunned them down.
"Ahhh!!"
The moment the shots rang out, the supposedly refined guests in the restaurant screamed in panic.
Jimmy quickly kicked open the door—only to be met with a table thrown right at him. He immediately retreated, rolling to the left of the entrance.
Suddenly, he sensed danger. Without thinking, he rolled to the side.
Boom!
A bolt of electricity shot from inside Kingpin's room, scorching the wall behind where Jimmy had been.
Jimmy's eyes narrowed. In his right hand, his pistol instantly transformed into a shotgun. He raised it and fired into the room.
Meanwhile, a group of black-suited, sunglasses-wearing bodyguards stormed into the restaurant, guns drawn.
On the 6th floor, Erika sipped her Bloody Mary and muttered to herself, "I guess I forgot to tell him… this is Kingpin's main base…"
Jimmy dived into the private room. In the corner, two women were huddled together, trembling in fear.
But Kingpin—
Was behind him!
Sensing danger, Jimmy immediately dropped to the ground. A sizzling electric baton swept right over his back.
Jimmy tried to kick backward, but his leg was grabbed. In the next instant, he was hoisted up and violently slammed into the wall.
Jimmy quickly got to his feet, staring at the imposing, tiger-eyed, huge man before him—Kingpin.
Kingpin stroked the cane in his hand and asked coldly, "Who are you? Why have you come to kill me?"
Jimmy sneered. "Because you deserve to die!"
As soon as the words left his mouth, he raised his shotgun.
But Kingpin was faster.
He pointed his cane at Jimmy.
Pfft!
A green gas sprayed from the head of Kingpin's cane.
At the same time, Jimmy pulled the trigger. In the chaos, he inhaled sharply, feeling a burning pain in his throat.
"Ahhh!"
The two women in the corner screamed, clutching their necks and collapsing.
Poison gas!!
Realizing what it was, Jimmy quickly fired again to force Kingpin back and jumped out of the room, coughing and covering his mouth.
In the hallway, a group of black-suited bodyguards rushed toward him.
Gritting his teeth, Jimmy fired at them, dropping the first two. The others quickly took cover and fired back.
Jimmy retreated, biting his lip, but just then—
A cane extended toward him.
Boom!!
A flash of blinding light burst from the cane's tip.
Jimmy's eyes widened as he was engulfed by an explosion.
When he came to, he was lying in a destroyed private room, his clothes and skin charred black.
"Take him away!"
Kingpin stepped in front of the unconscious Jimmy and ordered the surviving guards.
Two guards came forward, each grabbing one of Jimmy's arms to carry him out.
Crash!!
The sound of shattering glass.
Several smoking metal spheres were thrown into the restaurant. Smoke quickly filled the space.
Then—
Crash!!
A louder shattering noise, and a blurry figure stepped into the smoky haze.
Rat-tat-tat!!
A machine gun roared.
"Ahhh!!"
Many guards fell, screaming.
"Take cover! Take cover!!" Kingpin shouted.
Hearing his voice, the figure in the smoke turned the machine gun on Kingpin.
"Hmph!"
Kingpin snorted coldly and raised his cane. Instantly, all the bullets were deflected.
Meanwhile, the figure rushed over to Jimmy's unconscious body…
When the smoke finally cleared, Kingpin realized—Jimmy was gone!
"Damn it!!" Kingpin roared in rage.
