Chapter 1 - Reincarnation

Jin Ho sped through the highway, his expression, a furious snarl. His hands clutched the steering wheel tight to the extent that his knuckles turned white. Jin Ho's eyes dimmed remembering how it was Snow Tyrant who had called him to become the manager of Anvil Guild. He remembered how happy he had been that day, thinking how he would be able to lift his family from abject poverty and pay his father's medical bills.

But for 20 years, the stash of cash he expected from the Anvil workshop had been seized due to some minor mistakes.

One time, he had allowed the opposing Guild to defeat their guild members, not due to negligence, but because their opponent had been overwhelmingly powerful. And as a result, his money was withheld until he was able to bring their Guild back to peak state. And now that the Guild is so famous because of Jin Ho's hard work, Snow Tyrant decided to fire him from work.

Jin Ho could not forget how the middle aged man, Lin Chen, AKA, Snow Tyrant had fired him. It was so embarrassing because even the guild members had been present when he was fired.

They mocked and humiliated him, to the point that he no longer felt needed.

Jin Ho harshly turned the steering wheel and the tyres of his vehicle squealed loudly, burnt rubber drifting through the air.

So far, he has survived due to the fact that he is a player of Lod's Domain. But suddenly realizing that his 20 years of hard work, gone down the drain, he couldn't help but sob.

A moment later.

His phone rang out, startling him for a while. He looked at the ID caller and realized that it was from the hospital that his father was admitted.

He gathered his composture and picked up the call.

"Jin Ho here, talk."

"I want you to come to the hospital now!"

It was the doctor's voice.

Jin Ho's chin trembled.

'Why does he sound so serious?'

Of course, doctors were always serious, but not to the extent where he would feel chills.

Jin Ho tried to calm down. "Did something happen?"

The man at the other end released a string of curses for a while and barked. "Did you care about your parents or not? You've promised to pay the bill so that your father can get immediate treatment and now look? Your father is dead and your mother has gone into a coma."

Jin Ho's world screeched to a halt.

"No…"

The sky above him seemed to suddenly rumble as if to weep at his misfortune.

There was a flash of lightning and Jin Ho lost control over his steering.

His eyes widened.

A scream tore out of his pale lips as he scrambled for control— he was too late.

His feet stepped on the gas and realizing the mistake, he hit the brakes only after the car had slammed into an electric pole.

The car jolted and something massive collided on him causing everything to black out.

When it felt like Jin Ho might survive, the pole he's collided into sparked and wires dropped on the car, sending electric current through and then—

The fuel tank boiled only to erupt in a scary flames that burnt down everything, including Jin Ho's body.

Jin Ho did not understand why so many unfortunate things were happening, however he slowly resigned to his fate and slowly died.

Jin Ho opened his eyes.

At first, there was no sense of recognition until after a few seconds, his eyes stretched slightly.

He discovered that he was lying on his bed. The bed was wooden with not even a comfortable plush cover on it. Jin Ho was stunned and he sat up from the bed.

"I'm supposed to be dead but why am I in my room again?"

He clutched his body, remembering the accident. He remembered the electric shock and the explosion. He remembered how hot it felt when the flames burnt him to ashes.

Sweat gathered on his forehead.

"It was just a dream."

He heaved a sigh of relief.

"If that was a dream, then it means… I have not been fired from the Anvil workshop and my father is not dead."

He stood up immediately and rushed to the bathroom. His first thought was to hurry to the hospital to visit his father but when he entered the bathroom, facing the huge mirror, he froze.

He was no longer the same.

Almost as if time had been rewinded back to 20 years ago.

'But wait, how is that even possible?'

Jin Ho did not know, but he was seeing the miracle before his eyes. His skin was smooth, he had a lot of energy as a young adult.

"I'm twenty years old again."

He was stunned.

"Did I reincarnate?"

Jin Ho was surprised. If he had actually reincarnated, then isn't it a blessing in disguise?

A second chance to make everything right.

In his previous life, he had been tied down by Anvil Guild but now, he did not want to repeat such a miserable mistake. It was all because of that singular act that caused a lot of things to happen.

Due to the Anvil workshop seizing his monthly pay, he was unable to settle his school even as a final year student so he had to drop out.

It was also because of this same workshop that he could not focus on developing himself in the game. He couldn't even provide the bills for his father's treatment, he couldn't raise his family's status.

Now, that would change.

Jin Ho touched his face— it was real. He pinched his cheek, hard. But he wasn't dreaming.

Immediately, he grabbed his phone and dialed his father's number.
