Looking back at the coins, Rain breathed a sigh of relief. With these coins, he was sure to break through to the foundation Realm at least.
Also, he needed to look for a way to make money. These thousand coins, though looked much were rather insufficient.
"Rain! Rain!"
A panicked yell came, followed by the hurried footsteps of a figure rushing towards his room.
Before Rain could react, the door was pushed open and a female figure rushed into the room.
"Rain are you alright? I heard Feng came to look for you after you scared his younger brother shitless!"
"Hope you're not hurt?" The figure continued, rushing towards Rain who was standing by the drawer, holding his hands and checking his body just like a mother hen looking after her child.
"Ling, I'm fine," Rain finally broke the silence, feeling really unsettled with the way Ling was touching him.
Ling was one of the few people who cared about Rain. Though she didn't know who Rain really was, she cared for him a lot. They had met at the sect recruitment exercise and soon became close.
She was found to be a prodigy and was instantly taken by the sect master to be her personal disciple, thus making her a core disciple directly.
But even after becoming a core disciple, she didn't treat Rain badly and would often sneak some of her Cultivation resources over to him just to help him.
"Are you sure you're fine?" Ling finally stopped, narrowing her brows while staring at Rain, her expression filled with concern.
"Or did that bastard threaten you?" She asked again, still staring at Rain.
"Threaten me?" Rain chuckled,
In his past life, only a few could threaten him and get away with it. All others who had threatened him had been sent to meet Hades right after the threat.
As for Feng, he really didn't count him as anything, so he wouldn't even care if he did make some threats.
"Why are you laughing, this isn't funny?" Ling's expression changed, glaring at Rain.
"Just let me know if he dares threaten you or ever bully you again, then I'll teach him a lesson," Ling continued, her expression fierce.
"Here, take this," Ling didn't let Rain answer before stuffing a pouch into his hands.
"I begged my master to give this to me. You have to Cultivate diligently and break through to at least the late stage of the Qi gathering realm, only then would I be able to plead with my master to let you stay at the sect,"
Rain nodded and just when he was about to say something, Ling pulled him into a hug.
"You have to cultivate hard okay? Only then can I continue to protect you, else even my master won't listen to me anymore," Ling whispered, one could feel the fluctuation of the emotions in her words
"I'll be taking my leave now, I need to go training with my master," Ling disengaged from the hug, then planted a kiss on Rain's forehead before running out of the room.
"Awesome," Rain sighed as he watched Ling run out of the room.
Ling was the only one in the entire sect who still believed in him and would immediately rush over whenever she heard he was bullied.
And if he was wounded, she would go take revenge on his behalf. As a prodigy and under the sect master's care, she had already broken through to the Spirit Body Realm and was the third strongest amongst all the disciples.
Besides, the sect master doted on her a lot, and no matter what she did, no one would dare to question her, even the elders.
This was how Rain was able to survive being bullied as everyone knew if they were to hurt him, then Ling would come for them.
"It's a pity such a lovely girl almost slipped past my fingers," Rain chuckled, his eyes flashing with a glint.
The past owner of the body had a deep affection for Ling and Ling also had a deep affection for him too.
They had planned on becoming Dao partners in the future since the Glory Dome Sect was a dual Cultivation sect.
Almost all the disciples had a Dao partner. Ling would have become Rain's Dao partner, but was stopped by the sect master who told her Rain would explode if they dared try it.
Though it was just the harmonizing of Yin and Yang, Ling's Cultivation level would be too high for Rain to absorb, so he would blow up due to excess energy.
As a result, Ling stated she would wait for him till he was strong enough to withstand her strength.
Because of this, her Cultivation speed slowed down because the Glory Dome Sect cultivation technique was a dual cultivation type. To exert its maximum limit, one had to find a Dao partner.
But if they were extremely talented, they could still continue to break through and use the natural Yang energy which was the sun. This meant they wouldn't be able to cultivate at night.
Though their Cultivation would slow down, they would still be able to break through.
Rain sighed thinking about all of these. Though the original body loved Ling, he really didn't care, but he was still affected by the other party's deep emotions.
"Since there's such a good thing, I won't let it slip once again," Rain chuckled
He knew how much his predecessor was scared of losing Ling over the fear of their growing distance due to their Cultivation.
Now that he was here, he would close the distance and even catch up, then surpass her so she would look up to him.
Also, now it was his turn to protect her. But to protect her, he would need strength first.
"Let's take a look at what she has brought," Rain shifted his attention to the pouch.
In the past, she would either bring rare materials or expensive ones. But they all had little or no effect on Rain's body.
