Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Monster

Fallen's mind stirred in chaos.

Faint echoes rang inside his skull—broken, fragmented thoughts that made no sense.

His eyes fluttered open.

For the first time in what felt like forever… he blinked.

The rage—

It was gone.

Silence filled his mind.

And then…

He saw it.

Blood.

Crimson, sticky, warm—splattered across his trembling hands. Streaks ran down his forearms. Something was stuck between his teeth. He tasted iron. Flesh.

Then, his gaze lowered.

A body—mangled and half-eaten—lay twisted on the ground before him. The sight hit him like a thunderbolt straight to the heart.

Fallen recoiled, crawling backward in a frenzy.

"H-Huh…?" he whispered, voice cracking. "What… What am I doing?"

Terror choked him.

His stomach turned as the realization carved itself into his soul.

"I'm eating him…"

His body jolted with revulsion. He spat blood. Wiped his mouth. Vomited.

"I'M EATING HIM!!"

He kicked away from the corpse, scrambling backward like a cornered animal, smearing blood along the white floor tiles.

"No, no, no, no…!"

His voice trembled. Tears burned his eyes.

"What have I done…? What AM I?"

A whisper of madness clawed at his mind.

"Am I a devil now? A monster?"

His breath quickened. His heart felt like it would explode.

"I ate a human…"

The last word broke him.

Fallen let out a weak whimper.

Then—

Darkness.

He collapsed.

Eyes rolled back.

Unconscious.

Broken.

Scene Cut.

---

Elsewhere…

The air crackled.

A sharp cackle echoed through the halls of the ruined hospital.

"YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE I CAN GO ALL IN AGAINST!!" shouted No.2, his voice soaked in chaos.

He burst into laughter—wild, twisted, like a man possessed.

His muscles bulged.

Veins lit up like lava flowing under his skin. Steam hissed from his shoulders. Heat shimmered around him.

And then—

His body ignited.

Not with flames, but raw, unstable power. A red aura coiled around him like a serpent.

He grinned, eyes crazed.

The transformation had begun.

The "Crazy Mode" had awakened.

---

Deep within Hell…

Algol—The Demon King of Madness—watched it all through a demonic mirror mounted in his obsidian castle.

The mirror shimmered like liquid mercury, showing the scene in vivid, glowing red.

"Crazy Mode…" Algol murmured, voice low and curious. "A brutal transformation."

He stood, long cloak dragging across the black floor.

"The user's mind melts into chaos. Defense becomes zero. Logic disappears. Everything is converted into pure, unfiltered attack power."

Attack: 120%

Defense: -100%

Control: 0%

He chuckled darkly.

"A walking apocalypse."

---

Back in battle—

No.1 stood calmly. Fallen's father. The first devil. The strongest.

His eyes narrowed as he faced his brother's transformation.

"So… you unlocked it again, huh?"

Before he could even blink—

No.2 lunged.

He grabbed No.1 by the leg and spun, his strength monstrous.

SNAP!

The leg ripped off like paper, flying across the hall and crashing into the wall with a sickening crunch.

No.1 grunted, pain flashing across his face, but he didn't scream.

His body regenerated the limb instantly—but the agony still lingered in his nerves.

Before he could steady himself—

BAM!

No.2 appeared again. A punch aimed right for the skull.

No.1 dropped into a roll, narrowly dodging the blow.

Wind howled as the fist cracked the air, destroying a steel column behind him.

No.2 was relentless.

A whirlwind of punches followed—shockwaves exploded from each impact, vibrating the very foundation of the hospital.

CRACK!

The ground gave way beneath them.

The entire floor shattered like glass.

Both devils dropped, falling into the hospital's lower levels—.

---

Mid-air—

No.1 twisted his body.

"Let me show you…" he whispered.

He struck first.

A precise kick landed in No.2's gut, sending him tumbling back.

No.1 landed gracefully on the debris-covered ground below.

"…why I'm still No.1!"

He dashed forward.

Fists blurred.

A jab.

An uppercut.

A Brazilian spinning kick—FAKE.

Instead—

WHAM!

A sharp, clean strike landed behind No.2's knee.

The berserker stumbled.

No.1 used the moment.

He spun mid-air and slammed a powerful kick across No.2's face.

BOOM!

No.2 crashed through the reinforced concrete wall and burst outside the hospital.

---

Outside—

The world slowed.

No.2 was airborne—again.

His body twisted mid-fall.

"Wait… am I flying?" he muttered.

"Am I about to cra—"

BOOM!!

No.1 appeared above him like lightning.

CRACK!

A foot stomped downward at inhuman speed, slamming No.2 into the road.

Concrete cracked. Asphalt split.

A crater formed under the impact.

No.1 landed beside the wreckage.

He stared down at the broken body of his brother.

"…Not bad," he said.

Then he turned away, walking calmly through the settling dust.

"But still not good enough, elder brother."

---

A crowd had gathered near the chaos.

Civilians. Nurses. Visitors. Security.

Phones clicked. Cameras rolled.

"Two men just fell from a hospital roof!"

"Are they alive?!"

"What the hell is happening?!"

But just then—

No.1 froze.

His spine tingled.

A strange, chilling pressure rippled through the air.

Dark. Wrong. Primal.

A low growl.

He turned slowly.

No.2's broken body twitched.

Then rose.

---

Back in Hell—

Algol's eyes widened.

"No…" he whispered.

A grin grew across his face.

"His Rage Mode… It's back."

He took a deep breath.

"This is no longer Crazy Mode."

"This is Perfect Rage. Pure, instinctual destruction."

"No thoughts. No control. No awareness. He becomes death itself."

He raised a hand and conjured a memory in the mirror:

A stadium—burning, bodies everywhere.

"One time, he wiped out an entire arena. Fighters. Crowd. Royals. Everyone. Gone."

Algol's tone turned serious.

"Only No.1 could stop him back then."

---

Earth. Present.

A human head rolled across the blood-soaked road.

It stopped at No.1's boot.

He looked down, confused.

His expression shifted.

Slowly, his gaze followed the trail of blood backward.

Then his eyes widened in horror.

There stood No.2—

His entire body trembling, aura black-red, eyes fully white, steam rising like smoke from hell.

He wasn't human anymore.

He wasn't even demon.

He was… death incarnate.

No.1 whispered—

"…Monster."
