Leticia was sleeping in her luxurious bed her long eyelashes were brushing against each other her soft white snowy skin was pale yet not sickly.
Leticia yawned and stretched lazily in her bed, her slender arms reaching out above her head. She glanced at the clock on her nightstand, realizing it was already late afternoon. With a soft groan, she reluctantly sat up, swinging her long legs over the side of the bed. Her oceanblue hair cascaded down her back as she ran a hand through it, trying to tame the wild strands.
"Tun Tun," she called out.
"I'm awake." Her pet animal, a small creature resembling a rabbit with wings, hopped onto the bed beside her. Leticia picked him up and cuddled him close, nuzzling his soft fur.
"Let's go get some food," Leticia said she changed into ripped jeans and a white shirt she tied her hair up in a ponytail as she chewed on her gum.
Leticia wandered into the kitchen, Tun Tun perched on her shoulder. She rummaged through the pantry, her stomach growling.
"Hmm, what to eat..." she murmured, pulling out various ingredients.
Suddenly, a maid entered the kitchen.
"Miss Leticia, your mother has requested your presence in the living room. She says it's urgent."
Leticia sighed heavily.
"Urgent? I just woke up." Despite her reluctance, she knew she couldn't ignore her mother's summons. She set Tun Tun down on the counter and trudged towards the living room.
As she entered, she saw her mother sitting elegantly on the sofa, a stern expression on her face. Her mother Morgan slammed the report paper on the table.
"A B!? Leticia you better understand your academic and magic powers are important do you know how embarrassing it is!" Morgan shouted. Leticia looked at her mother haha no matter what she tried for 1,209 life time this mother of hers has always looked down on and calling her a fake this time around she won't bother with her.
"Mother I still have a high GPA a 4.0 summer has started stop worrying when senior happens don't worry much," Leticia said. Morgan slammed her palm on the table.
"4.0 is not enough!" Morgan shouted.
"Oh then what is beside a 4.0?" Leticia asked.
Morgan's face turned red with anger. She stood up abruptly, her heels clicking against the marble floor as she approached Leticia. Her piercing gaze bore into her daughter's calm eyes.
"A 4.0 is not acceptable for someone of your lineage and abilities!" Morgan snapped, her voice echoing through the room.
"You are a Princeton, and we excel in academics and magic. Your brother Alexander has a perfect score, and he's only in his first year of college!"
Leticia remained unfazed by her mother's outburst, her expression unchanged. She knew this lecture all too well from countless lifetimes.
"And what about your magic? Your powers are stronger than most, yet you barely use them," Morgan continued, pacing back and forth. Leticia sighed and rubbed her ear.
"This is annoying I am hungry," Leticia said indifferently she has a bottomless pit stomach. Morgan was so pissed this forget it this girl is her daughter.
"Go!" Morgan shouted. Leticia shrugged her shoulders and walked away. The Princeton Family family was a wealthy family in Yukon City within the Acideno Region Empire.
Leticia walked back into the kitchen, her stomach growling louder than before. She opened the fridge and started pulling out ingredients eggs, bacon, cheese, and bread. She began cooking a large breakfast for herself, humming softly as she worked.
As the food sizzled in the pan, Leticia's thoughts drifted to the upcoming highsociety ball. She had no desire to attend such an event, finding them dull and pointless. But as a Princeton, she knew it was expected of her.
Leticia was cooking breakfast in the kitchen, her movements graceful and practiced. The aroma of bacon and eggs filled the air, making her stomach growl eagerly. She hummed softly to herself, tuning out the world around her.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway. Leticia recognized them instantly it was her older brother, Alexander. He entered the kitchen, his sharp eyes taking in the scene before him.
"Leticia," he greeted coolly, his tone devoid of warmth.
"Still wasting your time with trivial pursuits, I see."
Leticia rolled her eyes, flipping the bacon expertly in the pan.
"Good morning to you too, brother dearest," she replied sarcastically.
Alexander leaned against the counter, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Mother told me about your grades," he said sternly.
"A B? Really?"
Leticia shrugged nonchalantly.
"I'm maintaining a 4.0 GPA overall," she pointed out calmly.
"One B won't hurt."
Alexander's jaw clenched.
"It's not just about grades anymore," he snapped.
"There are expectations for our family's reputation to uphold."
Leticia smiled underneath her apple juice and she slammed her cup on the counter.
"Servants get out of here," Leticia said indifferently and the servants walked away.
Alexander's eyes narrowed at Leticia's dismissive tone and actions. He stepped closer, his tall frame looming over her.
"You think this is a joke?" he growled, his voice low and threatening.
Leticia met his gaze calmly, unphased by his intimidation tactic.
"Not at all," she replied smoothly.
"I'm just tired of being held to impossible standards."
Alexander scoffed.
"Impossible? You're a Princeton, Leticia. Our family's legacy rests on your shoulders."
She turned back to her breakfast, plating the food with careless precision.
"And what legacy is that?" she asked flatly.
"Wait Alexander you are my older brother and the future heir and I am a heiress I don't bother with it," Leticia said.
Alexander's face flushed with anger at Leticia's casual dismissal of their family legacy. He slammed his fist on the counter, making her jump slightly.
"You ungrateful brat!" he shouted, his voice echoing off the kitchen walls.
"After everything our family has done for you, this is how you repay us?"
Leticia calmly took a bite of her breakfast, chewing slowly before swallowing. She wiped her mouth with a napkin and looked up at Alexander with a bored expression.
"And what exactly has our family done for me?" she asked evenly.
"Given me a life of privilege and expectation? Demanded perfection and obedience?"
Alexander's hands clenched into fists at his sides.
"You're testing my patience, Leticia," he warned through gritted teeth. Alexander slapped Leticia across her face and she touched her cheek. She was indifferent as she looked at him indifferent.
"Happy?" Leticia asked.
