Chapter 2 - Prologue

I Just Joined the Wrong Team

> "Intern Group 404? No... I was just a victim of being in the wrong team."

Five years ago...

Bandung, Indonesia.

The world was still learning to coexist with the appearance of Gates—mysterious portals connecting Earth to monster-filled dimensions.

But no one was truly ready for the worst outcome of all: a Dungeon Break.

Even if it was just an E-Rank dungeon.

That day, a Gate exploded open right in the heart of Bandung.

And the city instantly turned into hell.

People screamed and scattered.

Slimes and goblins spilled onto the streets, crushing cars and attacking anything that moved.

> The chaos spread faster than the emergency sirens blaring in the distance.

And yet...

Not a single Hunter showed up.

The National Defense Bureau? Busy at the western border.

The Hunter Association? Too caught up in monthly reports.

The top guilds? Still stuck in never-ending strategy meetings.

Meanwhile, the civilians?

They could only pray... run... or give up.

And in the middle of that chaos...

Six young men appeared out of nowhere.

They weren't heroes.

They weren't elite Hunters.

They hadn't even graduated from a proper training academy.

They were just—

> Intern Hunters.

No fancy armor.

No artifact swords or S-Rank skills.

And most importantly... they didn't even have official combat licenses.

But...

They had something most top Hunters lacked:

> Foolish bravery… and an overwhelming sense of responsibility.

No warning. No plan. No proper equipment.

They just charged in.

They rescued civilians one by one, dragged kids from rubble, punched slimes (because they ran out of mana), and blocked goblin attacks with cheap riot shields bought from hardware stores.

They were nobodies.

But that day—

> They became everything.

Their name: Intern Group 404.

Why "404"?

One of them, laughing in the middle of the fire, shouted:

> "Because when we looked for the real Hunters… they were NOT FOUND, bro!"

That line became a legendary joke—and their team name.

With bare strength and stupid determination,

They ended that Dungeon Break all on their own.

No A-Rank skills.

No real healers.

No media coverage or system rankings.

> But they did it.

No headlines.

No TV news.

No thanks from the government.

But the people of Bandung remembered.

Their city was once saved by six ordinary guys.

They weren't famous.

They weren't written in official history.

They weren't even listed in the Association's database.

But from that day on...

> Their legend began.

And me?

> I wasn't the leader.

I wasn't the strongest.

I didn't even know how I got dragged into that absurd team.

I was just a regular guy.

And that day...

I accidentally joined the wrong group.

And my life changed forever.

This is the story of a cowardly young man who just wanted to live peacefully as a low-tier Hunter...

But ended up being part of the craziest group in existence—

A team that would eventually be known as:

> The Most Feared Hunter Squad in Southeast Asia.

Yeah...

If you're expecting a glorious tale, you're in the wrong place.

Because honestly...

> Even I have no idea how I made it this far.
