Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Ashes of Hiroshima

August 6, 1945, Hiroshima. Alison landed in the morning mist as the pocket watch's hand trembled wildly. The atomic bomb's countdown flashed in blood-red numbers along the dial's edge, while the temporal egg of Charles' embryo oozed corrosive black light from her palm, its incantations seeping into her skin like poisonous ivy.

She infiltrated the U.S. military's secret base, discovering a team of scientists embedding a mysterious device into the bomber's nuclear bay. Lead physicist Robert Wilson bore the same symbol on his forehead as von Schmidt—the brand of Charles' "seed." "The 'Nuclear Entropy Resonator' must detonate alongside the atomic bomb," he muttered, as lab screens showed the embryo writhing within the device, absorbing radiation.

Alison used the watch to create a temporal rift, striking from behind. Cobalt serum flared as a temporal blade slit two guards' throats. Wilson turned, his lenses reflecting her distorted silhouette. "Reverser... but you can't stop the 'Human Purity Program.' Lord Charles will cleanse genes of weakness and division."

Suddenly, base alarms blared as U.S. agents stormed in. Team leader Catherine Hawkins aimed her gun: "Nazi spy! You're complicit in Hiroshima's nuclear experiment?" Forced into battle, Alison anchored time to freeze bullets mid-air, but the agents' silver rounds carried marrow inhibitors, slowing her serum's flow.

Meanwhile, Japanese whispers echoed outside. Mysterious samurai in kimonos smashed through windows, their blades etched with incantations from the alchemist's memories. "Western witch," leader Rinko Sato sneered. "Charles' embryo is the key to our 'God-Erosion Plan'—the Emperor needs it to end the war's shame."

Three factions in the lab. Alison cleaved Wilson's console, and the embryo device erupted in radioactive black mist, corroding an agent's bones. She flung the temporal egg into the nuclear bay as the watch's hand synced with the bomb's countdown: "The embryo must in the blast—and you all die with it!"

Wilson activated a backup device, and mirror fluid oozed from the floor, forming temporal manacles to trap Alison. Sato stabbed at her heart with a cursed blade: "The embryo's metamorphosis needs your marrow to catalyze!" In a split second, Alison bit her tongue, blood incantations exploding the manacles into mirror dust. She leaped into the bomber bay, anchoring her timeline to ignore ground fire.

"30 seconds to detonation," she ed as the embryo in the bomb's core laughed with Charles' snarl: "I will be reborn as the 'Nuclear God' in radiation entropy." Alison embedded the watch in the warhead's circuitry, weaving marrow incantations with nuclear fission equations to alter the detonation trajectory— the bomb would explode early, starving the embryo of full energy.

As the bomber took off, an ominous purple cloud formed over Hiroshima. Inside the cabin, Alison saw fragments of the alchemist's memory: Charles stood in Berlin's 1945 ruins, blood on his lips but laughing. "Hiroshima is merely my experiment to purge human weakness... the true history rewrite began the moment you were born."

"No." She used the watch to reverse time flow, her body dissolving into particle dust to pierce the cabin. The bomb detonated early in the clouds, its fireball swallowing the embryo's scream. Reforming on the ground, Alison witnessed horror—the embryo burned, but a new temporal egg coalesced in the radiation cloud, its shell Hiroshima victims' faces.

Sato retrieved the egg, slitting her abdomen to embed it. "The God-Erosion Plan will not fail." Wilson's in the ruins, Charles' symbol reappearing: "Embryo shards have spread into all nuclear weapons... I will be reborn at every fission point."

Alison used her last serum energy to create a temporal barrier, fending off agents and samurai. The watch's hand collapsed, displaying a new coordinate chain: 1952 hydrogen bomb tests; 1963 Cold War facilities; all the way to the present. Charles' laughter echoed in the ashes: "Your revenge only speeds my eternal ascension."
