In the year 1991, after the collapse of the USSR, the United States of America received a signal from the moon. "What signal is it?"
After finding where exactly the Signal was, the United States of America sent an Expedition Team in 1995. The team is only 5 people, a very small team.
The team is
- Doc is a doctor
- Sarge is a gun user
- Bob is a bomb user
- Private is a mechanic, and
- Jones is a photographer
They're going to the moon with a rocket, called the Orpheus. They're going with hope, with faith, that this mission is just a normal expedition.
They go at 10:24 am USA time. Now they have gone, to the atmosphere, to the high blue sky. They're gone with faith and hope for humanity.
I'm the Private, and I'm one of five astronauts. This will be my first time joining the Expedition team with them.
----------------------------------------------------------
After entering the lunar atmosphere, the rocket experienced severe turbulence. The five people on the Opheus rocket shouted and protected their astronaut helmets from any impact.
But the turbulence they experienced grew stronger and more intense as they descended toward the moon's surface.
Finally, they landed on the surface of the moon very roughly, causing Sarge to be thrown from his astronaut chair and hit the ceiling of the rocket, which caused the helmet to crack slightly.
"Sarge! Are you okay?!" I shouted, hoping that Sarge was okay.
"Hey Private, don't shake Sarge's body so hard. That will make it worse."Said the Doc while trying to release my arm that was holding Sarge tightly.
"Ah, I'm sorry, Doc," I said to Doc.
"I'm fine, I just have a little headache.
Maybe with some rest, I'll be fine again." Sarge said in a low voice, showing how much of a headache he had.
"Really? Then let's take a break for a while," I said, in a relieved tone.
"No, leave me alone. Let's not waste time, we only have 2 weeks." Sarge said as he let go of my arm. Leaving me with confusion.
"Doc, Bob, Jones, and Private, take good care of yourselves, oh yes, Private, this time you are the one carrying the weapon," Sarge said to me while he gave me his AR and handgun.
"Hey, Privates are still too amateur to hold a weapon!" said Bob in a loud voice.
"Private, don't kill us all just because you shot wrong!" Bob continued.
"Don't worry, Bob, I trust Private," said the Doc in a confident tone.
"Doc, thank you," I said, moved.
After the small argument was over, finally, I, Doc, Bob, and Jones got out of the rocket. When I set foot on the cold surface of the moon, I was surprised by the duststorm that was about to come.
"Hey Jones, please take a photo of the three of us and immediately send it to the Captain who is currently sitting comfortably at NASA."Said Bob in a slightly sarcastic tone.
"Hey, I heard that Bob", said the Captain who had just connected with them.
I was surprised by the Captain's voice who was just connected to our channel
"Woah, captain, hello, captain!" said the Doc in a surprised voice.
"Hello, Doc, how are things there?" said the Captain in a curious tone.
"Well, the boring Q&A session begins." Said Bob, his tone slightly mocking.
"Shut up Bob!" said Jones.
Hearing that, Bob fell silent and immediately walked towards the nearest rock to sit down.
"Okay, Captain, I will explain. The four of us, I, Private, Bob, and Jones, will do a shooting session to send it to you." Said the Doc in a professional tone.
"Where's the Sarge?" asked the Captain.
"Hello, Captain! I'm in the rocket, I won't be joining them because I have a head injury," said Sarge, who suddenly entered the conversation channel.
"Alright, take care of yourself, Sarge, but you must stay connected to us", the Captain ordered.
"You can count me in, Captain," said Sarge.
After hearing all the news from the expedition team, the Captain immediately silenced the conversation and waited for the photo that Jones would send.
"Okay Jones, we're ready. Let's take our picture before the storm gets closer," said the Doc.
"Okay Doc, I'll set the timer for 10 seconds before the shot." Said Jones
After Jones managed to set the time for 10 seconds, he ran towards us to take part in a photo session together.
"Poor Sarge couldn't join in this photoshoot," said Bob in a slightly mocking tone.
"Hey, shut up, Bob!" Sarge said in an annoyed tone.
After they had a photo session together, Jones immediately sent it to the Captain.
"Cool, isn't it, Captain, the view of the storm behind us?" I said with a proud tone.
"Yeah, that duststorm is cool. But go fast, proceed before that storm comes by and destroys our Signal." Said the Captain in a serious tone.
"It's a shame, Captain, can't see this sight with your own eyes," said Bob in a mocking tone.
Since there was no further response from the Captain, we immediately continued our journey towards the signal source which was located very far from where our rocket had fallen.
In the middle of our journey, we saw a towering hill which caught our attention
"Hey Jones you can climb that hill and see if the signal source is visible from there," said Doc
"Okay, Doc," said Jones without hesitation. Jones walked with small jumps towards the hill. When Jones was at the bottom of the hill, he immediately climbed it carefully.
"Be careful, Jones, some of the rocks over there look unconvincing," I said, worried for the safety of Jones.
"You're right, private, the rock over there looks like it's going to fall at any moment", said the Doc.
Jones continued to climb the hill until one of the rocks he was holding as a support fell and made him unbalanced, but Jones' athletic body was able to quickly and agilely balance himself and finally reach the top of the hill.
"What are you looking at, Jones?" the Captain asked with curiosity in his voice.
Jones, who was silent for a moment, answered him with, "Captain, you better see for yourself. I'll send you a photo."
After said that, Jones sent the Images via Email to the Captain, and the Captain, who saw it, opened the email. The captain was surprised to see it.
"This is,.. a building? There are communist symbols there, it must belong to the Soviet Union," said the Captain in a surprised tone.
Jones, who felt his job was done, immediately went down the hill, but...
"Crack"
The rock that Jones was standing on suddenly fell, and this caused Jones to fall and roll until finally, his astronaut helmet broke due to the impact.
"JONES!!" shouted the Doc and I. We immediately ran towards Jones.
"Stay with me Jones, stay with me!" said Doc hysterically.
But all of that was in vain. Jones, who breathed air without oxygen, which made his lungs and body hot, finally died, leaving behind the deepest sorrow.
"Damn,.. Jones,.." said the Doc sadly.
Seeing Jones' death was my first nightmare, I don't know if there will be another nightmare,..
