Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Title of a God

"So… I'm a god now, huh?"It was the only clear takeaway from everything he had just heard—yet Asher felt the need to ask again, just to be sure.

Eventually, Asher had stopped trying to process every detail. He simply listened in silence, letting the incredible information wash over him.At the same time, a powerful surge of anger had welled up inside him—anger toward the previous Creator of this galaxy and the recklessness that had led to its downfall. But he suppressed his fury and listened in silence.

"Correct."

"Haah~"Asher let out a long sigh.

He more or less understood what was going on now.Accepting it was an entirely different matter. No matter how skeptical he was, the reality of his current situation was undeniable—and it confronted him without mercy. Not that he'd ever been the kind to avoid facing the truth.

After thinking he had died, after watching his world fall into ruin, now he was told that it had all been part of something far greater.Compared to the vast universe, the countless gods, and their eternal wars, his end—and all his pain—seemed insignificant.

But still, he couldn't help but feel rage toward the beings who treated his homeworld as nothing more than an ant's nest.It was unforgivable that it had all ended this way—because of an incompetent god who neglected his responsibilities, and another, greedy god who couldn't leave this galaxy alone.

After sorting through the mess of emotions and regaining his composure, Asher finally found clarity. He had been given a chance—a chance to rebuild, to rise, and to exact justice.

Fine. But if I really am a god, shouldn't I feel something? Shouldn't I have power—the ability to create or something? Right now, I'm not even sure I have a body!

"Affirmative. That is because you have yet to choose a divine title. Once you choose the path you wish to walk—the kind of power you seek—your title will grant you the necessary strength and laws of reality to wield it."

A divine title. Renas had mentioned that earlier.Titles like God of the Sky, or God of Light. Each title came with its own powers and determined the god's path of ascension.

A divine title, huh? So how do I get one?

Whoosh! As if on cue, a transparent blue window appeared before his mind's eye. After seeing nothing but darkness for so long, the sudden glow briefly blinded him.

The window was simple. Once his eyes adjusted, Asher could make out a long list of divine titles—hundreds, perhaps thousands of them.

He studied the window calmly, scanning the endless options. There were so many titles, it would take days just to go through them all.And yet, there were no descriptions—no details about powers or abilities. Just names.

And according to Renas, not even all the titles were listed.Once a god reached the rank of Primordial Deity, their chosen title became exclusive to them—forever unique.Such was the privilege of truly great and accomplished Creators.

After a long while, Asher had looked through hundreds of titles and found a few that intrigued him.Titles like God of Death, God of Slaughter, and God of Storms caught his attention. The first two sounded immensely powerful and suited his temperament. The third resonated with the elemental powers he once wielded on Earth.

But then, as he scrolled further—he suddenly froze.

He saw a title that stirred something deep within him.It evoked sorrow. Resignation. But also… a strange euphoria. It made him think of the end.

This is it...

In that moment, he discarded all his previous thoughts and chose the title without hesitation. It was as if the title had been waiting for him—and him alone.

[You have successfully obtained the title: God of Doom and have become the Creator of your galaxy.]

A robotic voice echoed in Asher's mind.Unlike Renas, this voice did not sound human at all.

The voice of the World. It was the recognition of the universe itself—an announcement of a being's ascension. With those words, the title had been accepted—and etched into the very core of Asher's soul.

God of Doom.A title that resonated with Asher—who had watched his world die and stood alone in its final moments.

The title merged with his soul and bound itself to an achievement even he wasn't aware of:"Last Survivor of a Civilization."

As the God of Doom, Asher would now bring ruin upon his enemies—and make them feel what it meant to lose everything.

A tremendous power began to rise within him.A warm, radiant energy filled him, coursing through every atom of his being like sunlight.

And with it came knowledge—mystical, ancient knowledge—of the laws of creation. He now understood his divine essence and how to wield it.

The sheer force of it nearly overwhelmed him.Even though it was not hostile, the sheer volume of power could have knocked out anyone unprepared.

But Asher was no ordinary soul.As a former S-rank Awakened who had survived countless battles and near-death experiences, he was able to endure—and even welcome—the flood of divine power.

After a while, Asher had fully absorbed the knowledge and divine energy.

For the first time since awakening, the void changed.

A radiant light burst through the darkness, illuminating it like a newborn sun.

And at its center stood Asher—his body restored, cloaked in countless layers of divine energy.

He gazed silently at the divine power now flowing through him.

He had full control over it.It surged like a river through him, yet obeyed his every command.

"So this is divine power… Impressive."Asher's deep, ethereal voice echoed through the void."It's similar to the mana I once used—but far more potent, vast, and pure. If I had to compare… the same amount of mana and divinity would be like comparing 1 to 10."

"Congratulations, Master. You are now officially a god."Renas congratulated him in his usual robotic tone—utterly devoid of sincerity.

Asher ignored him.

He looked around the void, now illuminated by his divine presence.Still nothing…

"Alright, so I've got this overwhelming power now… but what exactly do I do? Just wave my hand and poof, something appears?" he asked sarcastically.

"Affirmative. Uploading necessary data…"

Bzz.A tiny shock tapped the back of Asher's head—barely more than a flick to someone of his current strength.

Knowledge instantly flooded his mind.It was nothing compared to what he had processed earlier—and he easily absorbed it.

Ding~Another blue window appeared—similar to the title list, but clearly different.

"Master, this is the so-called World Shop. It will help you create your worlds. It contains many popular elements you can integrate."

Asher curiously examined the World Shop.

It was divided into three sections: World Design, Races, and Items.

The World Design section included things like the Tree of Life, beautiful landscapes, and elemental templates.

The Races tab offered countless intelligent and non-intelligent species—humans, beastfolk, elves, ogres, and more.

Clicking on a race also showed unique traits—for example, mermaids who could swim faster than fish.

Asher could also create entirely new races or customize existing ones.

The Items tab contained all sorts of objects—from simple clothing to magical artifacts.

The window also showed his current faith points and the amount needed to rank up:

[Faith Points: 10,000 / 100,000]

After browsing the shop for a while and familiarizing himself with it, Asher closed the window.

Then he turned to the void—and to the knowledge he had just acquired.

"I think I've got the hang of it now. Let's begin. If I want to create a world, I should start at the beginning!"

With a casual gesture, Asher waved his hand into the emptiness.

Sun, Moon, and Stars appeared.

The previously dark galaxy lit up instantly—stars spreading across space like scattered diamonds.

Another wave of his hand—and a massive, spherical mass of earth and stone formed. A planet.

A third wave—and great oceans flooded its surface. Landmasses rose from the depths, forming continents surrounded by seas.

Asher stared at what he had just created—speechless.

He saw a planet, vast and alive, with a mighty ocean surrounding a great continent.A sight no mortal eye could ever fully comprehend.

It was breathtaking.Never had he imagined doing something like this—let alone with a mere wave of the hand.

"It's amazing… but it feels kind of empty. I bet it'll look better once trees and life start growing."

He admired his work for a moment, the worries of his past forgotten.

Then he opened the World Shop again to proceed.

Creating the galaxy and planet hadn't been free—his faith points had dropped by 20%, now at 8,000.

"Alright then… next…"

With a grand, sweeping motion, Asher pointed his hand toward the newly created planet—then twisted it.

The world began to spin slowly—clockwise. Faster and faster.

As the planet spun, green spread across its surface.Trees, plants, and forests appeared—coloring the world with life.

From afar, it looked like time itself was accelerating.

And that's exactly what it was.

Asher had used his divine power to accelerate time—speeding up evolution so the world could become habitable quickly.

Naturally, it would still take a bit of time. But not nearly as long as letting nature take its course.

"Congratulations, Master. You have successfully created your first world. It should take approximately 10,000 years for a habitable environment to develop—but with time acceleration, that has been reduced to just a few minutes."

Asher nodded.

"Right. You mentioned you needed a body, didn't you?"
