Blood on the Crosswalk (Part 3)
The fires still burned, painting the sky with smoke and ash, but the fiercest fighting was finally slowing. The government had pushed hard, but the Deadly Six held fast—bloodied, battered, but unbroken.
Aftermath
Cainen wiped sweat and blood from his brow, eyes scanning the ruined streets.
Lilith leaned against a scorched wall, her bat dripping with fresh blood, grinning that twisted grin like she owned the damn world.
"That was fun," she said, voice low and deadly.
Rekka cracked his knuckles.
"More where that came from."
Kaito tossed another shrimp chip into his mouth, smirking.
"They'll think twice before trying again."
Reflection and Resolve
Cainen's gaze hardened.
"This war isn't over. It's only just begun."
His empire was no longer a dream or a plan.
It was real.
And nothing was going to stop him.
