Chapter 3 - Genius? No! Imagination? Yes!

This was quite an interesting topic.

Oak had read some of the cultivation materials before he even reached the age of seven.

The Star Dragon Domination Technique was the result of his five years of hard work. He had used 'Basic Strength Refining Technique' and 'Burning Seal Technique'.

Basic Strength Refining Technique was something his grandfather bought when he awakened a Martial Spirit.

Burning Seal Technique was an Intermediate Technique his mother found when she was a child.

By taking references from these two techniques, he managed to create the Star Dragon Domination Technique, but it was incomplete.

Because there were key missing parts.

First, how could he generate Star Force in his body?

Second, how could he refine the blood of a dragon in his body?

Third, how could he make his Internal Strength domineering?

These three points were missing, but if he could find them, his technique would easily surpass the Rare Rank.

So, it had potential. It's just that he needed more references.

Thinking about it, he chose the Bronze Body Technique.

Most people were born with an affinity to the five elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Metal.

Some people have mutated elements such as Ice, Lightning, Wood, and Lava.

He didn't know which affinity he had. But he knew it wouldn't be Bronze Element because that was much rarer than mutated elements.

Although the Fiery Yang Technique and Thunder Refining Body Technique were impressive, he didn't need them as he already had a technique to generate Yang Force.

Yang Force might not be as deadly as Yang Flames, but it would produce a similar effect.

After taking the Bronze Body Technique, he went to find a perfect skill, and a special skill caught his eye.

"Phoenix Sword Art"

"Turn strength into skill, achieve the state of man and sword, draw the sword and release flying slashes."

That was the introduction. It was quite confusing, but since he had time, he checked a bit more.

It was a Sword Art that focused on using strength to produce skills.

For example, it didn't have movement skill, but it would allow a person to achieve rapid speed comparable to Snake Steps or even Blasting Steps.

For example, it didn't have certain move sets, but whenever it was used, it could produce slashes that could tear through boulders like Wind Blade.

So, this Sword Art was perfect for him.

Because the Yang Force not only gave him the fire element but also strong Internal Strength.

After understanding its effect, he walked up to the Fourth Elder and put them down.

"Elder, I would like to take these two."

The Fourth Elder read the Technique and Skill first. Then, he nodded with a smile.

"That's right! You chose two perfectly matching skills. Although Phoenix Sword Art is an Intermediate Grade Skill, its power can rival those of Advanced Grade."

"With another Intermediate Grade Technique, you can bring out Advanced Grade power through this technique. Within a month, you have to return these books to the library, understand?"

Oak solemnly nodded.

"Yes, Elder!"

"Good! Then, take this token and visit the second floor."

The Fourth Elder did something underneath the table and took out a strange jade in the shape of a teardrop and passed it to him.

Oak didn't understand, but he followed the instructions. He went to the second floor and found the Second Elder.

"Elder, Fourth Elder asked me to bring this to you."

Oak handed over the teardrop with both of his hands.

The Second Elder took the teardrop and walked away. Once again, the interior of the second floor was similar to the first and ground floors.

Oak didn't move a step because he wasn't given any instructions.

After nearly five minutes of waiting, the Second Elder returned with a pouch. He threw the pouch towards Oak and explained.

"This is your reward from the sect. This is a Storage Bag. It includes a space of nearly ten meters inside. You are given five bottles of Fasting Pills, one bottle of Essence Pill, and two bottles of recovery pills."

"There is also a weapon of your choice. A Sword of Basic Grade and two sets of clothes. Within a month, you must complete three missions given by the sect at a minimum."

"Because we have given you most of the things, you will not get any contribution points from us. So, try your best to reach the First Rank within a month and complete a mission."

"Without contribution points, you can't afford anything within the sect. If you need any resources, you can come here."

Oak solemnly nodded and bowed towards the Second Elder.

"Thank you for your reminder!"

"Go!"

The Second Elder waved his hand.

Oak turned around and saw two more students on the second floor. These were his friends, and they had already chosen their techniques and skills just like him.

Of course, he wasn't the first one to choose a technique and skill.

Before him, every single student from the sect had already chosen their technique and skill.

They were specifically ordered to choose a certain technique and skill based on their affinity and strength.

Fortunately, one good thing about sect was that they weren't allowed to choose anything above the Intermediate Rank. Of course, they could get it from their parents.

But, it wouldn't be that useful. Only by mastering the basics, one master the higher-level techniques and skills.

Oak left the building and came to the second building. This was the residential building for the students.

It also had five floors, and the top four floors were for the older students. The ground floor belonged to the new students.

Of course, those twelve students lived nearby sect and didn't need to live here.

Oak lived here because he was from the other side of the Red Stone City. This city was divided into three regions.

The Core Region, The Inner Region, and The Outer Region!

Blue Wave Sect was within the Core Region, and this region alone was over fifty miles wide, while the Inner Region was almost a hundred miles wide.

The Outer Region was even bigger.

Just the cost of staying in the Core Region was 250 Gold Plates per year. Each Gold Plate costs over 100 Silver Plates, and each Silver Plate costs over 100 Bronze Plates.

Just the cost of living in the Outer Region was only 100 Silver Plates, which means one Gold Plate.

The gap in economic power between the two regions within a single city made Oak speechless.

Of course, having wealth wasn't enough. If they didn't have the strength to guard the wealth, others would simply devour them whole.

It's like not a single law existed for strong people.

At least, in his previous world, it didn't matter if rich people made mistakes. Even they would be punished if there were enough evidence.

But in this world, evidence mattered shit.

That's why Oak and his parents lived a very cautious life. Even when they became cultivators, they never tried to obtain a lot of wealth.

Because they knew the guilt of possessing treasure when they couldn't guard it.

Upon reaching his room, he used the key and opened the door.

His room was quite small. There was one bed, a table on the side, and a small water jar with a glass.

There was a bag that had all of his clothes. Except for that, there was nothing more.

He placed his shoes on the side and went to his bed.

He was going to start his cultivation immediately. He took out the Bronze Body Technique and started reading it.

This time, he was going to read it completely and understand how one could transform the essence into something outside their affinity.

This book wasn't that long. There were step-by-step procedures, giving him a perfect understanding of this technique.

First of all, Bronze wasn't outside the affinity. It was simply a higher version of Metal Element.

Metal Element consisted of many other elements such as Iron, Gold, Bronze, and Silver.

Bronze was a special metal, though. It was a combination of tin and copper. So, the first step was to transform the essence into tin and copper.

Then, merge them to create bronze and use the bronze essence to temper the body.

This process made him realize something.

His Star Dragon Domination Technique could be finished.

Just like how bronze was made out of tin and copper, Star was basically the mixture of temperature and pressure.

Because by star, it didn't mean a literal star. It meant that something makes a star.

Of course, there were also chemical reactions and compositions, but that wasn't important for this technique.

In other words, he wasn't wrong with the Yang Force.

But to make it Star Force, he had to find a Gravity Technique, produce a gravitational essence, then combine it with Yang Force to produce a new force.

This force would have enough heat and pressure to be called 'Star Force'.

But the problem was that he hadn't heard about the Gravitational Force.

Just when he thought about it, he remembered something.
